  • changed password, the old password still works

I changed the grpadmin password in the web interface.

Now I can log into grpadmin using either the new password or old.

How can I force the old password not wanting to work more?

    Thank you

You can enter a password as long, but only the first of eight 8 characters are checked.     Then change the password to something completely different and it wil work as expected.

It is very common for clients to exploit an AD domain instead of using local accounts.

    Hello

"What to do if you forget your password Windows 8/8.1"

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/what-do-forget-Windows-password#1TC=Windows-8

If you have forgotten your Windows password, there are several ways to recover or reset:

    • If your PC is on a domain, your system administrator must reset your password.

    • If you use a Microsoft account, you can reset your password online. For more information, see the Web to reset your password page.

    • If you use a local account, use your index of password as a reminder.

If you've tried these suggestions and still unable to connect:

    • If you have Windows 8.1, you will need to reinstall Windows.

    • If you have Windows RT 8.1, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your PC.

To connect to online services, you must use your password later. However, we recognize that sometimes you just need to get to a document on your PC and may not have an internet connection to validate your password more later. In this case, we you always let connect you to your PC using the last known password, but then when you want to use services online, we will ask you your last password as soon as we need to authenticate you.

  • How to change admin password in BIOS if the old password is forgotten in windows xp?

Can you tell me how to change the admin password in the BIOS under Windows XP if I forgot the original?

    Thank you.

If you have a desktop PC, you can disconnect the power cable, open the case and remove the battery (Silver thing small round-shaped piece). then try to restart the computer, you can disable it in the first black screen with white text, it will probably give an error of the BIOS in any case. Then disconnect the power supply again and replace the battery. You need to reset the BIOS, but it should work.

If it's a laptop is more complicated and you probably need a technician, you will need a few contacts on the motherboard to short and it's not just a deal to open a plate of control over some.

  • Correct procedure to change the Windows password

This is similar to the post http://forums.lenovo.com/lnv/board/message?board=SpecialInterestsUtilities&message=3111&query.id=101... but I'm not looking for a workaround solution. I'm looking for the right way to avoid the problem.

When I changed my Windows password in Windows and restarted, the first thing he did was ask me after that I spent my finger. He said that he wanted changed in the security of the client system. I entered the password and it erased, and then connected. After the start, another window pops up asking my Windows password for the security solution client. I entered, but this was rejected. I tried again, rejected. I tried again using any password that I use. All rejected. Maj CapsLock and numlock off the coast.

Fortunately, I was able to cancel out of it. I changed my password to the original and then restarted. The same claims were held, but he agreed the old passwords. I am in control, but with my original password. Phew!

Then... What is the correct way to do it? Client security rejects the new password. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks for your help!

I found a solution in case anyone else comes across this. It may be the best or only one, but it worked...

    (1) disable Security TPM. Do the reset, etc.

    (2) use the control panel Windows users to change your password.

    (3) turn on the TPM secure. Do the reset and the new password asked a couple of times.

    Fact.
