  -A bit of background: the desktop PC that I use is Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, with active user accounts total five. I have my own account, and I can access the computer through (or through account from my brother, because I know its password).--

  I had this problem recently came where the administrator password (that I know for a long time and never changed) no longer works. So, after some research, I created a reset password on a USB disk, that I found in my house. I managed to create the disc, but when I tried to put the new password, I got the message error "an error occurred while the wizard attempted to set the password for this user account', which I must say is not very clear. I found a few methods of force - reset the password for the account of the admin, as using a sort of Windows Vista DVD or go to Safe Mode to find the hidden administrator account... but I have no idea what this DVD is or where to find, and in Safe Mode, there is no account user administrator to be seen. I believe that my machine is corrupted, but I don't want to buy a new. I want just to reset a password...

  Any help is appreciated. If I was not specific enough, I can specify in comments.

  It is not necessary. Please note that changing the password for all users of the application (except the GUEST user) does not require running AutoConfig or bouncing the application services.

  Use FND_USER_PKG. UpdateUser API to change the password of users - see (Note: 344979.1 - users are not prompted to change their password when using Fnd_user_pkg.) UpdateUser).

  Another possible solution to force these 10 users to change their password. Modify the script in AFCPEXPIRE.sql for 10 users, you want them to change their password - see (Note: 414976.1 - how to Force all Applications users to change their password?).

  I'm finishing the change of password for my iMac in early 2014 running on the latest version of El Capitan.

  When the opening up of the procedure is finished, I get a message in the upper right of the home screen of the iMac. The message says that I need to enter my new password to complete the amendment of the code of procedure. I can either click on "enter new password" or "delete" message.   My question is this. I have 5 unity servers that use this service account in any area, which includes Europe and the United States. If I change the password in AD all services will continue to work with the old password as long as they have not restarted with the old password? I know I need to change the password for each service that uses the account and then restart the unit, but since AD taking so long to reply, I was hoping to change the password of the account one day and then the next day or even longer when I have planned for my failure, I can then change the password for the services on each server and then restart the unit and make sure that replication is complete and the services start again with the new password.

  I think as long as I do not have to restart services can I change the password of the service account in AD a day or two before I schedule my outage can I change the password for all services, and then restart the unit. I know that I can force replication, but it would be nice to be able to change it in advance as long as it is not flexible, whatever it is.   You cannot change a user account by changing just the name. Simply by changing the name will do a cosmetic change only and does not affect the underlying files/folders in the profile.

  1. from an account with administrator privileges, go to control panel > user accounts and to create the new user account named Standard the way you want to and at least one additional administrator account. Call the last 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar.
  2 log in to the new Standard user account once if the profile of the files/folders are created and then connect to CompAdmin.
  3. now go to control panel > system > advanced > user profile > settings
  4. you will see where you can copy user accounts. Copy the old account to the new from there. Use her browse to select your new account (C:\Users\newaccount).
  5 log in to the new account correctly named and make sure all your stuff is here and it works as you want. When you are satisfied, you can log on and CompAdmin and remove the old account from the control panel > user accounts.
