My question is this. I have 5 unity servers that use this service account in any area, which includes Europe and the United States. If I change the password in AD all services will continue to work with the old password as long as they have not restarted with the old password? I know I need to change the password for each service that uses the account and then restart the unit, but since AD taking so long to reply, I was hoping to change the password of the account one day and then the next day or even longer when I have planned for my failure, I can then change the password for the services on each server and then restart the unit and make sure that replication is complete and the services start again with the new password.

I think as long as I do not have to restart services can I change the password of the service account in AD a day or two before I schedule my outage can I change the password for all services, and then restart the unit. I know that I can force replication, but it would be nice to be able to change it in advance as long as it is not flexible, whatever it is. Even force the replication takes a lot of time in our environment and I want to be sure, can I change well in advance without having a negative impact.

    Thanks for your time!

    Keith

If you change a password for a domain account, it should respond immediately through the Organization as AD treats this with the highest coastal.

If I swap two phones Atrix, I suppose swapping SIM cards will not change the MotoBlur account that each phone is configured for.

So, how do we change what MotoBlur account an Atrix connects to?

You can swap sim cards, but you will need to re-enter the motoblur password associated with the phone to continue using it. Unfortunately, I don't think that you can swap accounts motoblur without a factory reset of the phone.

  • sensor to recreate the image via the service account?

    Hello, I have the following problem with a JOINT-2 (4.1.5 S211) module:

I am able to get to the screen to login via SSH. I connect with my login and my password but the following error: cannot communicate with authenticationApp (getUserAccountConfig). Please contact your system administrator.

You want to run cidDump? [No]: _

I can, however, enter into the sensor via the service account. I tried to stop and restart the CID as well as restart the sensor, unfortunately without success. At this point, the only thing I know to do is run partition recovery for reimage the sensor - is it possible to do it on the service account?

    -Patrick

    Hello

You use the set of user name and password? What happened to the sensor through telnet and HTTPS access? Are you facing the same problem with above all?

If the password is correct then the engine of Authantication could have been corrupted.

You can rebuild image of the sensor through the service account.

Start the JOINT-2 to the maintenance partition:

    cat6k # hw - module module reset cf:1 module_number

Session in the partition maintenance CLI:

    processor cat6k # session slot slot_number 1

Connect to the partition maintenance CLI:

    Login: guest

    Password: cisco

If it is possible, then you can recreate the application partition image:

    http://www.Cisco.com/univercd/CC/TD/doc/product/iaabu/csids/csids10/hwguide/hwclipr.htm#wp91045

After you re-create the image restart us the JOINT-2 for the application partition:

    cat6k # hw - module module reset hdd:1 module_number

Check that the JOINT-2 is online and that the version of the software is correct and that the status is ok:

    cat6k # see the module_number module

Connect to the JOINT-2 application partition:

    processor cat6k # session slot slot_number 1

You have to retrieve your backup configuration.

Note the post if it helps.

    Hello

You cannot use a Standard (Local) account to change the administrator account. You can only use an administrator for this account.

Open the control panel (place the cursor on the bottom/left corner of the screen... and right click, select Control Panel from the menu

In Control Panel, select user accounts.

    Select Manage another account.

This will show all the user accounts on the computer. If there is an administrator account, it will show this designation.

To log off and log on with an administrator account.

Back to the account user/screen control.

Select Manage another account , then select the Standard account you want to change.

Select the option Change the account Type .

Select the administrator option to change the account and click Change the account Type .

If there is no other administrator account, let know us and we can try another method of recovery.

    Tell us what you find.

  • Very few documented specifications for the service accounts for SA

Hello. Is it just me, or you don't think there is a lot of missing information in the Guide of the Installation of his around what permissions must be given our service accounts to SA to connect to vCenter servers?

    1. the installation guide mentions that must point to the search SSO service and enter a SSO administrator name and password. Then it is made a sort of 'Grant permissions' SSO, but does not mention what he does.

    2. next, under 'Allow vCenter Server Instances', we're supposed to enter in the "user name and the password of the administrator of the vCenter server. That sounds as if it was an instruction on how to perform a test installation in an isolated lab environment where an "Administrator" account is used for everything. The guide mentions even what is the vCenter Server (?) default user name and password.

What admin aware security would leave such a procedure without papers are held in their environment?

How we would go about to install this with the required minimum permissions?

    THX!

    Hello

Here is a detailed description of what authentication information (SSO/VC) are used for:

-Admin SSO are used to create the user of the solution, which will use, and the user groups ('Assistant Support operators' and 'Support Assistant Service' - the first contains all the users, who are able to exploit, that is, change the parameters in the collection of the customer's Web user interface.) The second contains only the user of the solution).

-The administrator for each CV credentials are necessary, because (at the beginning), the user of the solution that we create has no permissions to one of the VCs. Therefore, we need a user (the "Licensor") that can grant the user with permissions of our solution. The grantor must have the following permissions:

    Authorization.ModifyRoles, Authorization.ModifyPermissions, Alarm.Create, Alarm.Delete

That's all. After installing, SA will * only * uses the user of the solution he created to access the VCs. The user of the solution receives the minimum permissions necessary for SA to operate.

    These are:

    Alarm.Create

    Alarm.Delete

    Global.Diagnostics

    Global.LogEvent

    Global.Licenses

    Host.Config.Network

  • Installed NEWSid, restarted, now I am obliged in the guest account and can't make admin account or change the guest account.

I had to run NEWSid due to software, I bought and installed (Stardock Objectdock) and required me to restart. Upon reboot, I had the guest account and couldn't change little matter what I tried. Here are things I tried.

    (1) goes UAC and by creating an account admin, but when I put a name in the name field, it tells me I have the invalid text when I do.

    2) restart in safe mode to create the Admin account or change the parameters of control of the accounts in this way and the same thing happens as a #1.

Reinstall Windows Vista Home Basic 64-Bit 3) compared to the original, which does nothing to help.

After research, I learned that using NEWSid with Vista causes this problem a lot, but the only solution I found is to use a recovery system disk (the only disc that came with my purchase of the computer has been the Cyberpower restore disc that contains only Windows Vista Home Basic 64-Bit.

I am at a loss what to do, what I'm in the guest account and can't get out. System Restore did nothing as well until I reinstalled Vista. When I tried to run the system restore, it told me the Volume Shadow service was not working, but as part of the services, it has been set to automatic.

    Hi Rizzano,

    Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forums.

If you are unable to connect to the administrator account, you will be unable to make changes on the computer by using the guest account.

I think you did an in place upgrade which means it replaces the file system and makes no changes to the user account.

You try to activate the construction in the administrator account and check if it works.

If you are able to connect on windows first try to create a new administrator account.

To activate the built-in Administrator account, follow these steps:

    1. click Startand type cmd in the Search boxof start.
    2. in the list of search results, right-click Guest, and then click run as administrator.
    3. When you are prompted by user account control, click continue.
    4. at the command prompt, type net user administrator / Active: Yesand then press ENTER.
    5. type net user administrator , , and then press ENTER.
Note: Please replace the tag with passwords which you want to set for the administrator account.
    6. type exitand press ENTER.
7 log off the current user account.

HOW to: Enable the build-in the administrator account in Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/555910

If the steps above does not resolve the question suggest that you try to restore the system from the mode or using the disk safe.

To use the Windows recovery environment, you must have the Windows Vista or Windows 7 installation disc. To start the Windows recovery environment, follow these steps:

    1.

Insert the installation disc into the disc drive, and then start the computer.

    2.

Press a key when you are prompted.

    3.

Select a language, time and currency and keyboard or input method, and then click on Next.

    4.

    Click on your computer repair.

    5.

In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click the operating system you want to repair, and then click on Next.

In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click System Restore to restore the operating system to the restore point created before the problem occurred.

    Hope this information is useful.

Let me know if it worked.

    All the best!

  • How to change the Services Menu.

Installed WordService to test. Ran very well but I have no reason to keep it. I removed all traces of it except, WordService choices that are listed in the preferences of Services. It does not hurt anything for them to be there, but if someone knows which file needs change or to delete I wouldn't mind if they were gone.

    TIA

Look in your library in the folder of the User Services:

    ~/Library/services/

You also can right-click on the item in the preferences of Services (keyboard shortcuts) and choose to Revel in the Finder, and it will open a window to the Services folder.

If it's there, move it to the Recycle Bin and restart the computer.
