    You can hide the menu bar in Firefox 3.6 on Windows, on "view > toolbars" or via the contextual right click menu on a toolbar.

If you remember that I tried to install the menu shortcut for UNDO them and REDO and totally rejected the idea that they might be under Edit on the crazy Main Menu which of course, they have been and worked like a charm.     If you want to change the language of the browser,

    1. From the next page, download the version of Firefox that you want to install.

    You have downloaded the US version?

    You can do a clean reinstall and remove the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a new copy of Firefox.

    Download a fresh US copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.

    Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible, the settings in the software security and cleaning of the Windows registry.

    • Do NOT remove the data personal when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because all profile files will be deleted and you will also lose your personal data such as bookmarks and passwords from other versions of Firefox profiles.

    Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    Your bookmarks and other profile data is stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

    If you keep problems also create a new profile.

    Before any changes, I recommend you backup your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See your backup information. (You can copy your profile folder Firefox together somewhere outside the Mozilla folder).

    I hope someone with more experience to offer more advice.

    Just like the States mentioned above. This refers to the search bar on the right. I don't want to remove it, I like to use. I want to get back the Google value permanently. Even if I turn it on to Google in the drop-down menu, when I restart Firefox, it changes back. Once again, instead of any other logo of search engine, it has a small logo of Firefox, saying 'Web search' next to him in grey if no text is entered. He often gives Bing search results, even if I deleted Bing in search engines installed.

    I also checked the default search engine in topic: config, and despite what I describe above, the default value is still on Google.

  • I want to change the location of Firefox 3.6.8 profiles so that the same profile can be used by different Win XP user accounts.

    I changed the storage location of the profiles for versions of Firefox prior to version 3.6.8 on other computers by changing profiles.ini to point to the modified location, using the same file successfully profiles.ini for different user accounts. When I upgraded to 3.6.8 on this machine dual-booting Win Xp and Win 7, modified profiles storage location has been maintained so that all users in the two operating systems use the same profile (and the same version of Firefox). I tried to use what I think, it's the same procedure in another Win XP machine, but when I try to open Firefox 3.6.8 installed on this computer, I get a message saying that Firefox is already running and I have to close to go forward.

    Please explain how I can get this to work.

    You define the location of the profile profiles.ini file for XP and Windows 7 point to that same folder.

    Easier to accomplish this is to create a new profile and choose the location of this profile to point to the profile folder.

    Make sure you have write access in the two BONES in the profile folder.

    You can install this version of the Restorer Classic theme for the current version of TenFourFox which is based on the version of Firefox 31 ESR.

    If you have a version of TenFourFox based on Firefox 24 ESR while you need not (cannot use) the extension of the TRC.

    For an informal ESR of 31 compatible Firefox version that is running on a PowerPC Mac with OS X 10.4.11 or OS X 10.5.8 you can check TenFourFox.
