  I had a problemetic SQL generated automatically by OBIEE. I have to rewrite or at least add a tip to make it complete within a fixed period.
  
  But I'm not sure if OBIEE offers us this feature to change or customize the SQLs it generates?

  OBIEE increases the performance of the aliases table, cz as he can't do oneself joined himself.

  @leon, you cannot change the SQL code generated by obiee, your obligation to use EXISTS instead of IN operator, then you can do this in the physical layer of RPD by accessing the properties of the table and select SQL problem and write your query with condition EXISTS on the relevant tables. So that in turn Bi server accepts and converts according to its methodology.

  @leon, you can use rownum in your where clause, but check the query generated by OBIEE and the results obtained by rownum satisfied your requirment.

• Changing the SQL source region according to requirement

  I have a region of reports that shows the results of some SQL codes. According to the value of a variable to the page I need to run a little different from SQL to get my results. Right now I use 5 different regions and display one suitable and hide others, according to the value of the variable on the page.
  
  It's a bit messy and I'm looking for a better way to do it. Is it possible to use a single region and change the SQL used as the source of the region after checking my page variable? for example something like this for the source of the region:

  for "normal" (non-interactive reports), you can provide a block plsql returning a sql query
  as the source of report...

  as said - this does not work with interactive reports...

  Start in safe mode by pressing f8 when you start your PC.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press return.  Once charged, try to change the area by car.  If it still does not work, try the procedure but with another another DVD zone 2 under Windows can be picky about what it accepts.  If it works, just restart your PC and Windows does not start normally.

  That should fix it, you must download the wrong file. I got this error before, by simply changing the flash version number and reexporting solves the problem. Flash can sometimes reroute your destination the exit .apk file folder, when your double apk download check that it has been created when you think it is, best way to do so is to publish and then transfer it, and after download be sure that it has been created a minute ago or so not on 30 March. Also try without the version label, it would be in conflict with something.

  I'm debugging a custom report complex which includes many variables bind and lexicals and uses several user_exits for flex collect field values. Is there anyway to see the SQL code that is actually generated in the report - that is, a type of log file?

  Assuming that all of the lexical settings are in your before and after triggers setting, why not add a message pop up in your setting after trigger to display what is used? Ex:

  -make the last statement in your setting after release:

  I am new to OBIEE and I already searched here in the forum but have not found an exact answer which could help me.
  I have a table in the warehouse where to get information on employees. It's employe_id, manager_id and name.
  Example:

  2 1 Meier
  
  Now, I would like to create a new column in the Mapping BI Admin tool business layer and add a SQL where to select the name of the Manager.
  Is this possible? And how can we do it? It will work with a new logical column? Where we add the SQL Code?

  OK, I think I got it - the name of Manager is on a separate table (or a search to return to the current table) and your thinking that you want to label your SQL in the report to find the name of Manager based on Director ID, you have?

  If so, import the table with the names of Manager in the physical layer. If this is the same table that you already have (but want to search him in the current table) then you need to create an alias for the current table.

  For each new table in the Phy layer, or an alias - define the join (current_table.manager_id = manager_table_or_aliased_current_table.employee_id)

  Once completed, we will on the source of the logic table in the MDB for this dimension, edit, on the general tab, "Add" and select the table / alias that you created in the phy layer. Click OK - it combines now two tables attached as a source - you can then map the name of the Manager search in your column 'name '.

  one of my filters is a "Term" Advanced sql code "' Code word ' = VALUEOF (NQ_SESSION. CSA_Analysis_Term)
  When I add the filter to the report (add a filter) the user does not understand the code above,

  I see your problem...

  When you have used this session variable in filters part you are able to see the session instead of the value variable last rite?

  You have guest of dashboard set to "Term". "' Term Code ' to the dashboard page?
  If so, why by default the session here filters variable part of the report? by default it prompt default dashboard section...

  just say guest is on the code term column in your report

• Monitoring stops working after changing the SQL Service account

  I have the Foglight for SQL Server cartridge. I recently changed the service account that is running the SQL Server engine and SQL Server Agent from a local account to a domain account. Everything works fine on the SQL Server side.

  No configuration changes have been made on the Foglight end, and none should be necessary Foglight is configured to use a separate service for SQL account both OS level followed. This account has always been in the local "Administrators" Group on the database server, as well as a "sysadmin" on the side of SQL Server server role. If I 'validate connectivity' within Foglight to that server, it shows that the connection is correct. I tried to remove the monitoring officer and recreation, but yet to see errors in the attached screenshot. Has anyone meet a similar problem?

  Although I couldn't find any indication that the agents were locked, I tried to release them anyway. That seemed to do the trick!
