change the success message in the APEX

Hello

I would like to show the user that the process is a success or a failure. I can do this easily by writing a text in the boxes provided for the success message and the failure message but everytime I get a sign 'X' as well as these messages. Is it possible to avoid that?

Thanks and greetings
VG

Hello

Just to be a little more specific... If you change your model page and scroll down to sub-model section, you will find models from 'Success Message' and 'Notification '. You will see something like this:

#SUCCESS_MESSAGE#

To remove the "X", you need to remove this part of the code:

  • It is possible to change the apex.submit () method?

    Hello everyone,

    It seems that the apex.submit () method always executes a HTTP-POST method. Something like this:

    POST /pls/htmldb_devdb11/wwv_flow.accept HTTP/1.1
    Content-Length: 180
    p_flow_id = 136 & p_flow_step_id = 17 & p_instance = 962043850817501 & p_page_submission_id = 1613388309541601 & p_request = T_ORDERS & p_md5_checksum = & p_page_checksum = 82507D5724D222E8E9BCB19A79C6D62F

    I wish I could change this to a GET, it's something like this:

    GET /pls/htmldb_devdb11/wwv_flow.accept?p_flow_id=136 & p_flow_step_id = 17 & p_instance = 962043850817501 & p_page_submission_id = 1613388309541601 & p_request = T_ORDERS & p_md5_checksum =, & p_page_checksum = 82507D5724D222E8E9BCB19A79C6D62F HTTP/1.1

    Hello Luis,.

    There is a solution that you could use. Edit each template of your website and add the following JavaScript just before the end body tag:

    You can't influence (as I know) how APEX produces chains of substitution #FORM_OPEN # and #FORM_CLOSE #.

  • Changing the Apex of http server scenario or an auditor of XE installation.

    Hello!.
    I installed Oracle 11 g XE. After that, I've updated to Apex 4.2 all it works very well, but... default XE installs and configures apex to use the gateway pl/sql embebed.
    In this scenario, the images are stored directly in the database in oracle XML DB repository. This can be a problem because XE have a limit of 11 GB and my apex application is simple, but it can download images for clients, etc. and in this schenma that the photos will consume space in the database instead of using in the linux file system.
    Can I install the HTTP server in a 11g XE and reconfigure apexr?, or can I change to apache + earphone? or easier... can I download images outside the XML DB in my apex application easily?
    Thank you and sorry for my English.

    As far as I KNOW, the SST is a product authorized, not free. So you can consider this aspect.

    , or can I change to apache + earphone?

    You need a container with ApexListerner JEE, not Apache. Not supported, but a good option is Glassfish Community Server. You can always choose to deploy the Apache, in addition to JEE container, for URL rewriting, etc.

    or easier... can I download images outside the XML DB in my apex application easily?

    EPG is not the fastest server around.
    I'd go with Apache + GF + ApexListener.

    See you soon,.

    Hi Wes,

    If your connection to database has changed, you must either delete the old configuration completely, so you could run + / listenerConfigure + again, or if you change the connection parameters in the configuration file.
    In any case, you must locate the config.dir (if you have not configured this setting, it is the ${java.io.tmpdir} of your WLS). If you want to do it again, delete the contents of this directory. Otherwise change the apex - config.xml , you will find. The relevant keys may depend on your previous configuration, but should not be difficult to identify. They are at the beginning of the apex - config.xml and begin by apex.db. .

    Gus

    Do not turn off the indicator of successful display, instead of this message you can remove the standard success message by adding the following to your Page-> Execute attributes when the charges article page:

    $("div#success-message").hide();

    More better if you add this to zero page if you prefer to use throughout the application.

    About, Skillbuilders Modal plugin Page I would say please submit more information or if possible set up for example in apex.oracle.com.

  • the APEX api call, change the repository, in the context of the application has no effect

    Hello

    I call APEX api stored procedures manipulate the repository (such as apex_lang.update_translated_string, apex_lang.publish_application or apex_instance_admin.set_parameter) pl/sql by setting apex_util.set_security_group_id (< workspace_id >) following this example indicated in the documentation of the api of the APEX:

    Start

    --

    -If running SQL * Plus, there set the environment

    -for the workspace Application Express associated with this schema. The

    -call to apex_util.set_security_group_id is not required if

    -you are running as part of the Application Builder

    - or an Application Express application.

    --

    C1 in (select workspace_id from apex_workspaces)

    loop

    apex_util.set_security_group_id (C1.workspace_id);

    "exit";

    end loop;

    -Now, actually create the mapping of the language

    apex_lang.update_translated_string (p_id = 123456789 >)

    , p_language = > 'nl '.

    p_string = > "says is a test");

    commit;

    end;

    /

    Call it the SQL guest (or Toad) everything works fine.

    But when trying to call apex_lang.update_translated_string from an application (with or without the security_group_id) APEX, nothing happens. No error message, the process is complete, but the string in the filing of the translation has not changed. Same effect for other api call that I mentioned. I tried the different authentication scheme in my application: DB account, users of the APEX, custom.

    An idea or a clue on what I'm missing here?

    Kind regards

    Christian

    Dear Mr. Rokitta,

    I tested myself on apex.oracle.com just now, and I had no problem using your anonymous PL/SQL block to update the chain of my filing of translation.  It worked successfully to these two SQL commands in SQL Workshop and also inside an APEX application running.  I also looked at the underlying code, and it's so simple - also long the security_group_id is set correctly, the specified ID is valid and the language code is the code of language of the APEX_APPLICATION_TRANS_REPOS chain, the update should go ahead.

    If set you a test on apex.oracle.com case where this would have been does not work, I would be happy to take a look.

    Merry Christmas.

  • Bland success message, make the "sticky" notification message

    APEX 4, RDBMS 11 GR 2, theme 13 (gray/blue)

    I attempt to use dynamic action of fade out of success messages and notification messages (error) "sticky."

    Theme 13, the id of the div that is used for the #SUCCESS_MESSAGE # and #NOTIFICATION_MESSAGE # is t13MessaqgeHolder.  Div for a success message class is t13SuccessMessage and a message notification is t13Notification.

    I noticed other themes use a (different) unique id for the success and the notification messages, but my company has standardized on theme 13.

    (Full disclosure: this code below is from Jonathon Taylor, How - to's of the APEX Web site)

    On the zero page, I create an event with the REAL action Page Load performs the following JavaScript code

    $("#t13MessageHolder").delay (1000) .fadeOut (3000);

    This works fine but the success and the notification of messages fade.  Is it possible to structure the code so that the messages of success fade, but the notification messages are sticky?

    If there is a way easier / better for this that I'm looking for, feel free to offer your recommendations.

    Thanks in advance.

    John

    If the divs resembles

    div id="t13MessageHolder" class="t13SuccessMessage"

    then, everything you need to do is change the selector, as Scott tries to get to.

    However, to select per class / id, you must use a dot instead of a hash.

    $(".t13SuccessMessage")

    You don't need. parent() unless you need to choose the parent of the selected item, which is not necessary if the message div is built as I wrote above - but to determine that we would need to see the actual html structure.

  • How to delay or not to fade the success message?

    Hello

    I use Apex version 4.2.2. I noticed that error messages do not fade and disappear only if we click on the 'x '. How could I achieve this with the success message? I would like to know how I could delay AND remove the auto fade. After that, I would be able to decide who is best for me. I tried referring here to make the delay, but it doesn't seem to work:

    https://forums.Oracle.com/message/11159689#11159689

    Would it be possible and if yes, where I was able to change?

    Thank you.

    Hello

    I had a situation in which, to have changed the fade time of success messages. You can find the code here: https://gist.github.com/vincentdeelen/7516812

    In the setTimeout of this function, the 4000 is the time in mili seconds that the message remains on the screen. You can change this value at your convenience.

    If you don't want the successmessage to fade at all, you can create an overload of the function like this:

    autoFadeSuccess = function() {return true ;};}

    Kind regards

    One way is to create a component hidden from this page and calculation value according page submit the request.
    for example if the application is updated then the item value record has been updated.

    Then put this point to the message of successful treatment of automatic line (DML) as & Px_YOUR_ITEM.

  • Changed the profile of TB OS update, same new messages keep downloading several times. Why?

    LinuxMint17, LinuxMint16 (erased hard disk and renistalled) was updated. Folder (including the profile of TB) restored successfully. Previous emails appear correctly, and new messages (POP) were recovered, but these same messages at least repeatedly, with each check "Get messages". Same problem on two different mail servers.

    Already more than 200 messages duplicated in under an hour! Close Thunderbird until I get a fix.

    I just found this article when you posted the link. When I tried to delete the files popstate.dat and could not do, I discovered the real problem:

    Somehow, when the backup program registered the Mail subfolder to the folder ~.thunderbird/e1aq0j8l.default , he set all files in this folder as root property, including the popstate.dat ones, which prevented the update of the POPstate of every server in Thunderbird.

    I changed the properties back to my group and user regular and everything works well.

  • Apex 5.0.2 error when changing the table name in the treatment of automatic line of process (process row)

    Hello

    I need a little help...

    For some reason, I have to change the underlying table for a treatment of automatic process (process Row) line (form).

    Although such a change is possible in the designer of the page (under "settings") Apex does not recognize the new name of the table, but seem to rather use the name of the original table "old."

    Pretty strange (new/modified) (the new table columns) are (correctly) error message.

    For example, the 'old' is: TABLE_1 and TABLE_2 new.

    TABLE_2 has a new COLUMN_NEW column (and corresponding P1234_COLUMN_NEW page element exists)

    Then the error message says something like: not found COLUMN_NEW column in TABLE_1. Althougt I changed the table to be TABLE_2.

    Maybe it's a bug or I do something wrong about this?

    Thank you in advance!

    André

    OK, just to get some - you changed the name of the table twice:

    -Rendering of section--> Page1234: Pagename--> pre-rendering--> after the header--> process of--> line from TABLE_2

    -Treatment article--> treatment--> process--> process of line from TABLE_2

    I thought, that always seek you the line of TABLE_1
