Change the timestamp format in mysql

I've created a field date_posted in Recordset1 in my database named my_db now by default is set to the current timestamp, now the problem is the value that is generated is in this format

yyyy-mm-dd hh: mm:

but I want it to appear in this format it

month date; year to hh: mm am/pm

lets make it simple by this example, say that the month is June date is 15 and the time is 10:24

the default format is like this

2009-06-15 10:24

but I want it to be like that

June 15, 2009 at 10:24

Please help and thanks in advance.

Use the function DATE_FORMAT()) MySQL in your SQL query and assign the result to an alias.

SELECT col1, col2, DATE_FORMAT(datecol, '%M %D, %Y at %k:%i %p') AS formatted_date
FROM mytable

"datecol" is the name of the column that is stored in your date. The date formatting will be available in your recordset as formatted_date.

Moreover, this question was asked repeatedly in this forum. You should be able to find the answer using the search function.

How can I change the default format for burning discs of this system of active files to ISO image format?  I don't want the active file as the default system and really don't want to have to choose what I want to use the default every time.  It's boring. I have Vista x 64 on my computer and have not yet adapted to all the changes in XP.

Thanks, but it's not useful.  It is more that an 'improvement' Microsoft did that, as I fear, is a total and far failure to be an improvement.  It also means that I'll just use a 3rd party program to burn all my CD/DVDs.  You know if I wanted to be able to remove, reformat, etc.. CD/DVD I would use those rewritable.  That's why they exist.

  • How to change the date format in Lightroom, when importing images?

When you import into Lightroom, you get the following structure in Lightroom for Macintosh HD.

    Year-> Date.

I want some level 3 like this structure.   Year-> month-> Date

    How to do this?

    Hi lennartr,

When you import images, you can change the Date Format in "Copy as DNG, copy or move", but not in the Add box.

On the right panel, you expand the Destination folder and change the Date Format.

  • Options for PDF export - how to change the date format?

    Hello

I use Adobe InDesign CC June 2015 on Windows 7.

When I export a PDF file to print, the date and the format is ' mm/dd/yyyy' (e.g. 2015/12/11 15:14:21) but I want to be ' dd/mm/yyyy' (for example 12/11/2015-15:14:21).

I know it's possible because my colleagues have this date format on their PDFs.

Do you know where I can change this option?

  • How can I change the default formatting on the content placeholder?

Captivate 7. I'm reworking a copy of an existing theme, and I was able to change all the styles and the default settings easily... except host on the object of the content placeholder. I manually change the information Format and character for each of them. I can't find a matching entry in the Style of the object manager. What Miss me? Thanks for the help!

    Mary

I think the problem here is that a placeholder is NOT expected to be used in the final result.  He will be replaced by a sort of object that it represents.  For example if it is a placeholder text box so the style of the object will eventually be applied to a text box, NOT the placeholder.

  • Change the DATE FORMAT in a data store

I created a few projects with the help of a Teradata technology using tables that allow to CREATE_TARG_TABLE the Yes option.

Model / data store, there are DATE fields, but I can't change the DATE FORMAT, change the field.

When the process starts and creates the table in the database, create using FORMAT of DATE "AA-MM-DD" and I would like to create as "YYYY-MM-DD".

Y at - it a step that I am doing wrong, to be able to change the DATE FORMAT?

    From already thank,

    Hello

--> Physical Architecture topology--> Teradata--> data types, create a new data type (or modify the existing DATE data type), then set it to the desired format of the syntax 'Create Table' and 'Format data type accessible writable.

That is to say DATE FORMAT "YYYY-MM-DD".

Then all your tables created will use this format. (I just tested it, it works).

Let us know if you have any problems.

    See you soon

This is why many people say that the safest way to avoid the problem of date format is format of date, hardcode in every SQL statement. A logon trigger should also be an option if you are sure that the application doesn't runs another

  • How do I change the date format in the section of the United States to the United Kingdom

    As in the question.

    Hello

  • Can I change the date format day/United States (month day year) in the United Kingdom (date month year)?

When I consult databases via Firefox, the format of date/day is set at: day, month, year (AMERICAN style), while I need, day, month, year, I work in the United Kingdom and the 'bad' format is VERY confusing and could lead to errors and mistakes. IE has that format, but I don't want to return to using that.

You use the English (United States) version of Firefox ESR 24.3.0. You can download the English version of (British) below:

    1. under Options - content - language, make sure that English/United Kingdom [en-us] is located at the top of the list.

    2. in the Windows Control Panel category, region and language, make sure that the short Date is set at your convenience.

You can check the date and time at the library of Firefox, bookmarks category format. Press Ctrl + Shift + B to open it, and then note the dates in the added to the right column.

  • change the date format

I want to change the format of the date in the top bar of the screen.

    The current format is:

    Wed 11:53

I want to change it to:

    Saturday, December 5, 2015 11:53

In other words, I want to register the date, including the year.

    Any suggestions?

Go to System Preferences / Date & Time; then on the clock tab. There are 2 checkboxes for only the Date and day. Check both.

  • How can I change the data format of the digital display of the digital meter?

I created a screen that uses digital counters to display data.  Each meter has its visible digital display so that the user can see the level accurately.  I have changed the format of the data from the meter to 2 digits of precision and want to display to have the same format, but there seems to be no way to do it.  The digital display is locked to 6 significant figures, which will be confusing for my users.  I know that this was possible in previous versions of LabVIEW, but was somehow lost to 8.6.1 and 2009.

I am aware that I could do some "work-arounds" with channels or replacing the digital screens with digital indicators, but it is not acceptable.  How can I change the properties of digital signage?

    Hi AEI_JR,

on the Properties dialog box, when you set the display format of the counter, you will find a switch to choose between 'Digital' (the default) and "digital display"...
