Change to the network C4780

I have a C4780 in my motorhome for my wife to use while we travel.  I had to change the routers and need to change the network settings on the printer.  I can't find the CD that came with the thing, so according to the plant site HP has no way for me to change the network name and the settings of the printer.  Is there a way to do it without the CD, or have I lost forever wireless capabilities?

Thank you

...... JB

You can download the full feature software using the link below and save the driver to your desktop. Once the download is complete, double-click the file to start the installation. In the Installation of HP screen click on the option "reconfigure network settings."

  • Changes to the network when the reconfiguration of the DHCP server to the static IP address

I installed new positions of work on my network and had WDS push the image so we have installed DHCP to do this. After all the work stations were Setup, I started to change static IP DHCP on the workstations as we prefer to use static IP addresses.  Some computers work fine, some don't. The problem I have is when changing from a static IP, as active network passes the network of the area to the Public network. However, when it is configured to use DHCP, the active network is the domain network. What am I, I missing which will cause the active networks of change to public networks at the static IP change? I checked the settings ip IP, Subnet, DG and DNS and they seem correct. I tried to withdrawal, join. I tried the update NIC driver. I tried to uninstall the NETWORK adapter and reboot. If anyone has seen this before?

Gotta show the physical addresses of networks diff diff. Wat can b the actual physical address of the pc?

    Hello

When you use the command ipconfig with the/All option, this will bring up an address or a list of different addresses depending on whether you have a multiple network connected to your PC. If your computer has multiple network cards, the physical address of each adapter is listed separately

Find the "card Ethernet connection to the Local network," which is your physical address/MAC address of the computer.

Let us know the status of the issue. If you need help, please after return. We will be happy to help you.

  • Printer HP C4795 unrecognized by the network

I have a printer HP C4795 wireless for 2 years.  It worked fine until recently.  It is no longer recognized on my network.  I made no changes to the network in the last 6 months.

    Some other points

-When I use the USB port to connect the printer directly to the computer, it does not recognize the printer.

-Wireless Network Test fails repeatedly.  The printer can't find my Home Network.  I have installed and run the program HP Network Diagnostics.  It cannot detect the HP printer.

-The Diagnostics Summary says the wireless is on and works wireless.  Also, when I do a network scan, HPsetup is recognized.

-J' unplugged the router for 30 seconds and then turned back on.  No luck.

-Test report on the summary section of the network configuration, it indicates a network name different than the one I am trying to connect to.  I've never heard of this denomination of network contained in the summary of configuration.

-J' have turned the printer on and off several times.  The blue light is always on.

-I know that my network is OK.  I have 6 other devices on the network works fine, including 3 PC, a Mac, a Wii and a device of BluRay.

OK, using the CD that comes with it, enter the configuration of the router and first check to see that it has the latest firmware.

In addition, while you are in it make sure that 802.11 g is enabled (this printer is not a 802.11n radio), that MAC filtering is disabled and that you broadcast your network name (SSID).

I'm having and ESXi host with 10 VM, all connected to the same portgroup on the virtual switch. To allow THT, I created the last slots with 5.1 ESXi compatibility and later (VM version 9), where all the other machines have ESXi 4.x and later (VM 7).

Now, I'm having the issue 2 machines with version 9 can talk to each other, and version 7 cannot talk to each other. It is not possible to make a ping to a version 7 virtual machine vm version 9 and vice versa.

An idea, a re there known issues, something I did wrong? From what I saw that day was to be a major change in the networking between these versions.

    Any help welcomed verrrrrry!

  • How to set preferences for the network folder in VMWare Fusion

I use VMWare Fusion to run a virtual PC on my Mac which I use QuickBooks to MUCH for my business. I'm trying to get the Writer of Intuit, a complementary product to work, QuickBooks statement but there need me to change the security settings on the "network drive" my files are on. and multiple users. »

Help! How can I do this?

    Thank you

    Dawn

I don't use QuickBooks but Google search for EIS networking and multiple users hit Albums is support QuickBooks - statement of Intuit writer (SIE) network and multi-user functionality and he said: 'because we do not recommend this, the files must be local when you work with them. It is necessary to copy the file IF you want to work with on your local disk, and when the finished work with the file, copy it to the server. "so this means to copy the file in the folder shared VMware on the Windows filesystem, as an example the office that you use also the feature and then mirrored folders when it copy in the shared folder of VMware.

If you don't want to do that, then it seems that the major changes that need to be taken are on the side of Windows and not really a matter of VMware Fusion in itself however in the perspective of VMware Fusion, VMware shared folder should be set to read & write and is the only permissions that VMware Fusion has no control on in this regard.  Another aspect of the permissions would be on OS X and the permissions on the folder as a shared folder on VMware normally, only the owner has read & write permissions and other default permissions for reading only.  You may also need to change the permissions to read & write however what I read after looking at a few other answers the main objective research to resolve that matter Windows itself using the .NET Framework Configuration tool.

So I really do not see this as a matter of VMware Fusion and see it in the totally as an issue security policy mainly on Windows, although the other mentioned permissions must be at least check and then only modified if necessary after that making the necessary changes on Windows is not sufficient even though as long as the folder shared VMware is set read/write & I think the rest this is totally of the Windows side.

  • Not set to read only on the files so that they can be shared and changed on a network.

I've seen any other questions on this subject, but they do not solve my problem.  I had to reset my network because I have a new router.  Now I can open the files on my main computer from another computer, but they always opened read-only.  I tried to set sharing and security to allow the share on the network and allow network users to change files.  But I can not turn off the box next to 'read only' in the general tab.  I also tried to start XP in safe mode and take possession of the file (article 308421), but this does not work either.

I also tried in vain to change the attributes of command line to remove the read-only attribute and to set the system attribute, use the following command:

    attrib - r + s drive:------------

After trying a few other corrections, I finally did a system restore before the installation of the network.  Then, I used the Network Wizard to reconfigure the network. I changed the name of the computer, so I knew what was the new connection.  Then I copied the wizard network on a USB key and reconfigured the second computer.  Now everything works fine (I can open, edit and save files between computers) even if the readonly attribute is always highlighted on the record.

  • Network discovery, file sharing settings keep changing by itself and Alltel to set the network location continues to ask the wireless device

former title: network location settings. Discovery of NW. File sharing. public folder sharing. AVG 9.0 'tools' and network connections.

My Alltel Wireless device again set the network location. And continues to change my network settings for the discovery of NW to:, as well as file sharing for: file public and sharing: read-only.  I have AVG Security 9.0 and under 'tools' and connections network shows several svchost with States reading service connections listening and unknown. I don't want no access to my computer and cannot find any computer consultants who can get this to stop. What can I do?

    Hello

    1. the options apply automatically on?
    2. have you made changes on the computer recently?
    3. have you installed any Alltel Wireless application to manage network connections?
    4. What is the current network location type on? Is it home, work or public?
Network discovery and file sharing settings depend on the network location. For examle, if you set the network as a public location it turn on file sharing.  So I would ask you to turn all the parameters and then choose the type of network and check if the parameters change again.

    Method 1.
I recommend you to check if the problem exists in clean boot. May be a third party application is causing these changes.
See the article below for instructions on how to start your computer in a clean boot state.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: When the diagnosis is complete, don't forget to reset your computer to normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article.

    Method 2.
Also check the settings under tools in AVG security suite. You may need to check with the help of AVG on it.
Or you can disable the antivirus software and check if that causes this behavior.
Temporarily disable the security software installed on the computer and check if the problem persists.
    Disable the anti-virus software
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software
Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    I hope this helps.

    Alberto smell, MD

As dalime said, you must set the name of the router and then the guest account is generated on that basis.  But it's a bit stupid.  If you have configured your router from the web panel name or after you set up your guest account, it will generate a generic name of Cisco.

    Solution:

    (1) disable comments

    (2) change the name of the router (as dalime has shown)

    (3) (cancel) the stupid usb key exchange request

    (4) change the name of the router to what it should be

    (5) (cancel) the stupid usb key exchange request

    (6) turn on comments and now he will recognize the name of the OK to add router "-guest" at the end of
