  I'm afraid there is bad news in England tonight.

  It is quite possible to damage, a USB key which will eject not correctly and abruptly removed as you did. When you do that at the request of Pages which is its continuously (after the first recorded) on the USB, you interrupt a write operation and cause a file corruption.

  The bad news is that due to the internal structure of a v5 Pages document, once it is damaged, there no recovery of its content. Except, that the document was once on your boot drive and took a Time Machine backup, or there's another copy somewhere. You can restore the old version. If you have just created, updated this document on the USB key, then ouch.

  You can try this USB mounting and then from Launchpad: others: disk utility, click on the USB stick in the left panel and then click the first aid in the utility disc toolbar. Once this is done, select the name of the device (for example, Sandisk blah blah) and in the menu file: eject. Quit disk utility.

  Mount your USB stick again and see if you can open this document with Pages or preview Pages. Faint hope, but maybe just...

  Hello.  I'm having a strange problem when I run Windows Media Player 11 on Windows Vista Ultimate (64-bit).  It does not immediately occur, but whenever I run WMP, my internet connection will be some time after you cease to be able to open new internet connections - for example, I can't open the Web Pages in Internet Explorer, my Sidebar gadgets can not update and such, but my IRC client remains connected to his server (although I can't connect to a new server).  As I said, my internet does not die immediately, it might take an hour or two, but if I run WMP and that he do nothing else whatsoever but leave my computer for once it is a guarantee that this problem occurs.  To fix that I can understand, the only way is to restart.

  I read something about what is possibly caused by WMP somehow using up to the maximum allowed simultaneous incomplete tcp/ip connect attempts, but it should be originally the 4226 error code is not present when I run the Windows Event Viewer.

  I use Avast! for my virus scanner and I have BOINC/SETI @Home running in the background.  Turn it off does not seem to make a difference, however.  I'm not under any P2P software.
