Changes in account Hotmail and 30 days

Recently, I accessed my hotmail account to organize an alias and also get audit stage 2. For reasons I do not understand that I asked myself for my 'security information '. I have no idea what it is.

For some reason, an email address was attached to it with asterisks hiding some data. It looks like my wifes email. -What is that supposed to be my 'security info '?

Then asked me for my mobile number I gave - and then said that I could not access my account for 30 days - thanks a bunch. Turns out however that I can access my email - I can't do certain specific things. As what I wanted to do IE organize audit stage 2.

Today, I get an e-mail from MS:

«Info profile such as your name, date of birth or country has been changed on the Microsoft account * address email is removed from the privacy *.» (Ive removed some data from the address)

But this isn't my account: this is my account of wives. While on Earth is that supposed to mean? Of course, they have not changed its info?

To complicate matters more, when I went to my account (the browser) it says now:

"We are not ready for you yet."
Your 30-day waiting period ends on 10/11/2014. So far, you won't have able to connect to your account unless you have found your information security.
E-mail address is removed from the privacy *.

What it means? Firstly its now 22/10/2014. Unless theyre using another date format? Maybe they mean Nov 10?

And yet once my wifes email with no other information. or an explanation. What's goin'? It makes no sense.

If someone out there can figure out what is happening, I would be grateful. Why should MS be so cryptic with their communication?

The 30-day waiting period can not be waived.

What should I know about the 30-day waiting period?

Even when you choose to remove your obsolete security information, MS don't remove it completely for 30 days. This waiting period allows to deter pirates update your security information and access your account without your knowledge.

After 30 days, the user of the account will be able to access the security settings and update his inside information.

But the waiting period does not mean that you are locked in your Microsoft account.

Check if you can still access your email through https://mail.live.com.
