  Flex tends to auto-update the wrapper file that it generates, which is frustrating if you change, then your changes are lost. I usually make a second copy of this file in the src folder and change this one. Flex will then leave it as-is (since he never controlled) but it will be deployed to your bin-debug folder (or wherever your output goes).

• You can install an email template, similar to the HTML design for all emails?

  Is there a way of setting Thunderbird that you can install a HTML e-mail template, or you can customize an e-mail so that it has the appearance of refined HTML.   You can easily create your own email template.

  You must have HTML enabled composition.
  Different methods of location of the 'account settings ':

  • Via the toolbar "Menu Bar":
  • "Tools" > "Account settings" > "Composition & addressing" for the e-mail account

  Through the pane of folders:

  • Right-click on the name of the e-mail account in the folders pane, and then select "settings".
  • then select "Composition & addressing" for the e-mail account

  Via "Menu Icon.

  • Menu icon > Options > account settings > "Composition & addressing" for the e-mail account

  "Select compose messages in HTML format"
  
  Click OK

  Then, open a new message 'write '.
  You should see the "formatting Bar" below "subject" and above the area of publication.
  "Formatting" bar you different heading colors, the fonts, the fonts and the background, bold, insert images, tables, links etc.

  How to install the addon:
  Download the addon as extension to your desktop or downloads folder.

  I did a site of muse, my edited the file htaccess on the server ftp client and now asks me to make additional changes without overwriting the changes.

  If the customer has used Muse for editing or the browser Edition you should get a message asking if you want to keep your changes or crush them. If they used a HTML and FTP Editor to make the changes you've lost compatibility of Muse.

  The html output is not editable from in Flash Catalyst. Once you have published your project, feel free to edit the html file in your favorite HTML Editor (I hope that Dreamweaver). You can once again to make sure you save your changes in the html code where you need to republish your project and do not overwrite your changes.

• Cannot paste the html link in the edit box of html for ebay using 24.0 FF on Kubuntu 12.04 - the destination of the link is displayed instead.

  In chrome and rekonq under Kubuntu 12.04, in all browsers including FF 24.0 under Windows 7 64 bit, ebay html editor (accessible by clicking on the 'HTML' tab next to the 'Standard' tab in the "Add a description" section of the "Edit registration" page) works as expected. For example paste a HTML from photobucket link to an image fits the link text in the editor. With FF 24.0 under Kubuntu 12.04 image is displayed, i.e. the link is followed.

  However, nothing is really stuck, the image is displayed, but nothing is changed in the HTML itself. Closure of the area of editing html and return to it details unchanged content.

  Paste the link into the Standard editor works as expected: the image appears in the wysiwg editor and go to the shows html editor html link was added.

  Editing in the html editor works as it should, pasted from an external source links are followed instead of being stuck in.

  Correction: this is not a problem with FF. Links pasted from another tab in the same instance of FF behave correctly. The problem is caused by pasting links from an external source. I don't see why links from external sources stick properly in other browsers, but of a life too short to investigate that.

• HR HTML 9.02 and Source Control 3.1 will not save files in design mode, only the HTML view.

  We use RoboHelp 9.02 (just 9 and charged the next day so up-to-date, we 9,02) and Robo Source Control 3.1 and when we check a file and change the file, we can not save the file in Design view.  If we click on the HTML mode, we can save the file.  We have reproduced this on multiple files at the same time our computers accessing the server.  Now using RoboHelp HTML on a local project is functioning normally, only when we have access to the files on the server we select the HTML mode in order to save the topic.

  While this is an acceptable work around short term, we need this bug to get fixed unless someone knows of a checkbox somewhere that we must check in design mode to record and studied.

  I will be happy to provide you with any input and or test the additional fixes to help to fix this bug.  It is completely reproducible and constant on all tested subjects.  Source code control works insofar as this case the subject is verified by one the other cannot access the topic.  Once the topic is saved in HTML, then the subject can be archived and changes are visible by the other author.

  After the installation of Robo 9, Adobe Acrobat Professional 8 has been removed from the computer and MS Word 2000 did not work.  I've upgraded to Office/Word 2003 and I can now use Word 2003.  I have not attempted to reload Acrobat yet but that is next on my list.  Acrobat Professional was removed from these two computers during the installation.  Word 2000 exists only on the laptop.  I was in the queue to get updated later in the year, so they gave me a key and Word 03 seems to operate normally.  Did not check the Excel or PowerPoint 2000.

  Other news, you may be interested to know:

  • Both computers use Windows XP.
  • Both have office 2003.  -C' is because Word 2000 stopped working when Robo 9 has been installed.
  • Both have with max memory 32-bit operating systems.
  • Both have multiple monitors.
  • One is a laptop, the other is a desktop computer.
  • Both computers had 8.02 Robo? but RH8 was uninstalled before installing RH9.
  • 3.1 source code control has not been reinstalled on the server since version was the same that came with RH9
  • Source control has been reinstalled as a step of troubleshooting on the laptop without change.
  • RSO3 middle-tier service is running on all 3 computers and RSO3 server runs on the server pc.
  • Two users have administrator rights so all of the checkboxes are checked for access and control.

  Having identified some problems in our global variable file in another project, I had a look at this project and found a few variables were empty, have a mystery character input or information applied to the variable fonts.  Rather than change back the variable only one digit or a character with no set form and text input in variables of the virgins, I deleted the unused variables of the project that just happened to 99% of the variables because we divided this part of the project in a booth along the project.  Remove the variables solved the problem where we had to switch from Design view to HTML view in order to save a topic.  I find this rather strange since none of the topics referenced stray variables.  Now we have only the variable of the version that refers to all subjects in the foot.  Everything seems to work fine now.  If you encounter this problem, have a good look at your file of global variables, line by line, to see if there is something other than text or numbers and delete everything except for the text.

• Why Responsive mode Design might disagree with the box of the HTML element model?

  In the web page, I am writing right now, number of width of the sensitive design view does not match the width specified in the view of the box model (meaning that my questions of media do not seem to be triggered the breakpoints of good width). See the attached screenshot that displays the Appointment page, view the box model and a ToolTip with dimensions of the HTML element.

  I have yet to reproduce it in a simpler page, although I'm still trying. I dismissed the possible influence inland iframes and the viewport metatag.

  So, I would like to know what could cause two tools to account for the figures of different widths.

  Oh! That's all! I was slightly zoomed-out and after a Cmd + 0, RDV now accepts exactly with the box model, and queries of the media are behaving as they should.

  Quick Note: the zoom was causing a second problem, since she has been scaling 430px for a number between 481px and 480px wide, triggering neither of my media queries (which had max-width: 480px, the other min-width: 481px). It was almost as confusing as the numbers is not the first place.

• When I use Firefox to watch the changes I make to the HTML files locally, it does not show changes made to images, unless I restart the browser. Is this a bug?

  I have the local and versions at distance of a page is open in two tabs. I change images (keeping the same name in the HTML code) and download the modified image. The tab that displays the remote page does a refresh to show the change. The tab showing the local page of do not. I tried to open it in a new window, but it still doesn't change. Only if I restart Firefox does show the change. Why? Is this a bug?

  Try using Ctrl-Shift-R or Ctrl-F5 to reload the page. This tells Firefox to reload all the content on the page, ignoring cached assets copies.

  I don't know why this is happening in the first place, although I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that the remote copy is loaded from a web server (including a bunch of headers allowing browsers to know when we need to get a new copy of an asset), while the local copy is loaded directly into the file system.

• Active HTML appear of people with disabilities in the media designer

  Just getting started with the DMS 5.3. I added a few test html resources in the DMM, but when you create a presentation in the media designer, they appear dimmed, people with reduced mobility. What is the reason for this?

  Which element of the designer helps you when trying to add to the HTML assets? If you choose the 'Media' item, it is expected that you cannot load HTML in there. You must use the 'Playlist' with "All Types of media" element to add HTML content.

• the drive designation, change to G: Won't hold

  I have 4 new backup drives. Seagates.  Two were G and two player F.   I changed the drive F and G for a car, but it won't last.  I have to change every time I use two backup discs F.

  How can I change the drive designation and do stay changed for life.   The backup disk is connected to our Windows Server.

• v13.0.3.495 - cannot change the tab stops in the paragraph Designer

  Don't know whether or not it was a problem in recent versions (haven't adjusted the tab stops in a while).

  I have a paragraph format with:

  -First = 0.25 "

  GCH - 0.5 "

  -Tab stop = 0.375 "L

  I tried to change the tab stop on a 0.5 "W, went into the designer of paragraph, under the direction of tab stops, changed the value, you click on continue.

  Paragraph designer reappeared, stop tab value appeared as 0.5 "L for a while, and then returned to 0.375".

  No idea why this is happening or how to fix?

  I had almost the same problem (also FM 13.03.495) a few weeks ago. I tried to change a tab stop from left to right, aligned. If I remember correctly, I clicked on apply in the paragraph Designer, and then the tab stop setting is returned to its original state.

  I have not noticed that in a single file. Since I couldn't reproduce this with other files, I ignored this problem. I think I've changed this tab stop in another file and copy the paragraph format in the problematic file.

  You can access the source of the individual items on the canvas by selecting it and then right click. There will be a "View Source" option in the context menu. However, if you need access to the source for the container itself (rather than just what is inside), which unfortunately is not possible.

  I have observed that a code in the html page broken will if auto correct when we view it in Design view. How do I disable this feature?

  My requirement is that I need to have excerpts as

  First single: < div id = "extract" >... Text has a value of 1 <! - opening first extracted div - >

  Second excerpt: text is set to 2 < / div > <! - div in the second extract from closing - >

  Current problem is when I save the first and the second extracted and after the consultation in the 'Design', a closing div (< div >) got automatically created in the first extract and open div (< div >) was created in the second excerpt.

  Is it possible to disable this feature of HR?

  I have that reason to read this as simply an excerpt in a snippet? If this isn't something, I tried and I doubt it's possible. You cannot turn off AutoCorrect, but you can avoid it by using a rather text editor. However, you lose a lot of the features of RoboHelp.
