  If in LR, I hit CTRL-E, I get 3 options for editing.   Try resetting the Eraser tool.

• PES 11 Editor fails to restart after release

  Organizer and editor of launch after the computer restarts. But after the release of the program, one Organizer will re-launch-editor will not.   Need help! Suddenly, all my PDF files convert themselfes PSE-files! PDF files sent as attachments in emails increase in PSE-files and is of no use to me. And worse: all my old files PDF saved on my computer has been changed in PES-files. All the icons for PDF files on my desktop have a blue mark with 'PSE' in them instead of the red symbol of PDF. And it is impossible to suddenly to open that PDF files that they have been spared as. Open it as illegible PSE documents.

  Yes, something has changed. WINDOWS has changed. The files have not changed, because it's nothing to do with the file.

  It works like this: there's an association 'default' for a file type. Don't worry the jargon. What this means is that for each file type (DOC, TXT, JPG, PDF, PES...) Windows has an app (program) to run. For each file type, is also an icon for this application.

  So, if the default link for the PDF files is Adobe Reader, and then, when you double-click a PDF file, it opens Adobe Reader. And the icon comes from Adobe Reader.

  But, if the default association for PDF Photoshop Elements files, when you double-click a PDF file, it opens Photoshop Elements. And the icon comes from Photoshop Elements. This doesn't mean that they are files PES!

  When you change the association it affects all files, BUT the files do not change.

  As I said, you can probably fix this in the preferences of the Adobe Reader software. You can also sometimes fix in Windows, with the right-click - Open with - Adobe Reader. You have an option "always use this program"? Try it.

• PES 9 rollback (after change in Solid State Disk)

  I upgraded my laptop with an SDS (clean install, no clone). Everything else remained the same. PSE has been uninstalled from the previous hard drive.

  The installation program just stops before the end, roll back the complete installation. Problem with sharing of technology.

  PSE was one of the first programs I've tried to install after the SDS update, so I don't think there should be other programs that influence.

  Downloaded PES 14 trial and it installs without any problem. I do not need the additional features for the PSE 14 and actually found the interface a 'bit messed up' compared to version 9. Therefore, I have no intention of paying for an upgrade.

  Upgrade to Windows 10 (upgrade, not a clean install). Still not able to complete the installation of PES 9.

  Ended up using Gimp to create Christmas cards; that works well, but there are a few operations better resolved in PSE.

• Change CMS to PES 10 resize pixels

  I'm new to PES 10, just change of PSE 8. I'm used to change the sizes of image in pixels because that's what it takes a lot of Web sites. In PSE8, I was able to change the size of the image in pixels in image resize. PES 10 I can't find how to do that it uses by default to change the image of cms or the thumb. I have looked under preferences and cannot find a way to change the steps for resizing. There a change in pixels, but it does not appear under resizing.

  How can I change the cms for the pixels located under the resizing? any help is appreciated.

  Image resampling is selected, and then change the pixel dimensions. Type directly in the width and height boxes, and then click OK.

  Actually if constrain you the proportions you just type the value of the width and height changes automatically.

• PES 10 can't change read-only groups layer (aka I want to just make a custom in the elements DVD menu)

  A little history: I wanted to make a custom menu, so I opened a copy of one of the menu canned. In PS Elements 10 PSD files.  It opened with all the layers and their showing sublayers.  So far so good.  I made a lot of editting and had my menu pretty much right, recorded and burned a DVD with it.  I saw a few corrections that I need to do so I opened the same. PSD file and it showed all main layers (with the folder icon) but not the attached layers.

  I double-clicked to open these layers and got:

  "You try to open a group, which is not supported in Photoshop Elements.  The layers in this group will be simplified in a single layer.  Simplify the layers? Yes No. »

  I just change these things yesterday.  Everything I've done since then is save my software online. I saw that it said in this forum that "Elements doesn't support layer group/sets' but she was referring to an earlier version, I guess.

  Question 1: Is it always true PES 10?

• PES 10 - does anyone know if the photodownloader changed?

  With PES 9 minimum screen size size has been changed to prohibit any user with a screen of PC height of less than 800 px get the dialog box advanced option (in the organizer's preferences). PhotoDownloader couldn't be so used its form Basic (and horrible). Does anyone know if this has been restored to a minimum height, for example, a display of 768 height px as in all other versions, including PSE 8?

  Yes, it seems that the minimum resolution for the Advanced dialog box is 1024 x 768 in pse pse 8 to 10.

  I tried 1024 x 768 and the Advanced dialog box has worked, but did not work with 1280 x 720.

• How to change the picture in a pastel in PES 11 illustration

  Hello from a newbie.  I'm trying to find a nice effect that needs to create pastel illustrations of my photos. I think that it's done in PS by transforming the picture in black and white first, then using oil filter work for smooth effect paint I am after.  I can't find a way to achieve this effect in my PES 11, someone has any ideas to help.   Not sure what you mean when you say, «I hit OK...» ». Once you have the desired effect, you should do one, save as (psd or tiff). You end up with two or more adjustment layers in the Panel layers? (bottom right of the screen).

  recently upgraded from PSE6 to 9 on OSX - as Snow Leopard. I use the main editing very well, usually PES launch of in iphoto for editing photos, I organised it. But I just noticed that I have nothing visible in the control panel. No effect in edit mode complete, nothing at all if I select guided or quick edit modes.

  Has anyone else had a similar problem?

  Uninstall (use the uninstall program in the PES 9 folder in applications) and reinstall. That seems to have worked for other people with this problem.

• Error applying changes during the installation of PES 11

  I can't install Photoshop elements 11. First attempt resulted in error 1336. There was an error creating a temporary file that is needed to perform this installation. After reading the help online, I ran MSConfig by following the instructions, selective startup; HID Microsoft services and all the remains disabled.

  After rebooting, my computer would not work. Since the Windows 7 DVD, I ran the system repair tool. He ran CheckDisk obviously. After completing the computer now works correctly.

  But when I try to install Photoshop this error pops up: error application of transformations. Check that specified transform paths are valid.

  After searching the Web, it seems that the issue is in the registry. I cleaned the registry with CCleaner.

  How this can be solved?
