Changing the values of abbreviation from the database to the ADF object

I useADFJDeveloper 11g Release 2


I use Entity object called Project referring to the actual database table. This table contains fields that contain values of the abbreviation; for example this table filed called STATUS that describe the current state for the project. this filed will be values such as: 'A' approved for, 'X' for rejected and so on.

In the interface ( JSPX , or JSF Pages) I just drag / move the View object which refers to the Project Entity object . and the page displays the project files with their status as specified.

Is it possible to change the values of this observation to the real value of somewhere; It's like instead of the values (A, X,...) I want to have (approved, rejected,...)

You can write in an el in the value of the State field as "#{binding.status.inputValue == 'A'? '} '. {Approved ': "Rejected"}

    This script could help show how to get the type of field.  I'm reasonably show that he originally site of Stefan Cameron, http://forms.stefcameron.com/, but can not find it now.  Basically if you have a 'field' then ui.oneOfChild.className will give you the type of field.

    I don't think you'll have a chance to change the field type.  I think that you need to have all the field types you want on the form and that they are visible when necessary.

    You must add the id of the selectOneChoice as partialTriggers to the panelGroupLayout - check my example above.

    Also, you seem to keep the selectOneChoice inside the panelGroupLayout (who you want to fake visible). So, once you make the invisible panelGroupLayout, the selectOneChoice (which is inside your panelGroupLayout) will become also invisible.     I have never renamed a few items and found it easier to do an export of the application and then go through the sql file to identify the pages that were the elements, and then go to each page and change the appropriate objects. It could be that you might actually updated the export file itself and then re - import. You will need to ensure that you only replace the table names and allow for the fact that the export file may contain table names spread over two lines - you then to import into a new application id (just in case!)

    Another suggestion, perhaps, would be to rename the tables and then create using the original names of synonyms?

    You can also set an attributeValue in pagedef.xml
    bind this attributeValue with column of your table. This sets the value of the selected line to the variable attruibute.
    Will now link this with your desired component attributeValue.
    Put partial trigger on the component that should display this value.
    This will save you to write custom code and use the default table selection listener property, which marks the first default line.

    If can I update the dist_id directly in the tables distributionrights and distusedonce with the dist_id of our distributor without future problems in ACS4 value?

    You do not want to delete the record for the integrated Distributor, because that will cause problems and given what you have described the probably won't solve the problem.

    The most common cause of E_LIC_NO_DISTRIBUTION_RIGHTS is because you try to make a loan (URL with action = enterloan instead of action = enterorder), when you have not created a right distribution of type "ready".  In the administration console, if you have already created a right distribution of type buy, then in the inventory tab, with the Distributor, then the resource selected, you just need to click on the icon "+" next to the distribution rights and to create a new right 'ready' type distribution  If your problem is that you did not create the distribution rights for the Distributor, and then you can drag the resource on the distribution server to create a first 'buy' distribution right.

    Alternatively, you can also use DistribTool.jar to create the appropriate distribution right.  Documentation for this tool is in the documentation of source sample.

    However the DistribTool and AdminConsole end up doing the same thing, which is to use the ManageDistributionRights admin web service endpoint to create a new right of distribution.  If these tools are not to your liking, you're probably better choose a writing tool in your preferred language to make calls to services web admin, so that you can make it work as you want it to work instead of the DistribTool way or AdminConsole works.

    I have a requirement in the ADF where there are two LOVs. The values in the second LOV based on the values that I selected in the 1st LOV should change dynamically.
    In addition, the 1st LOV accepts 3 values for each value that I select, a different query is executed to fill the 2nd LOV.
    I have a gross thought I can use 3 different read only view objects containing these 3 queries. And according to the value that I select in the 1st LOV I can run the object matching the view of the bean to support. But my doubt is how to link the results of this query that is executed to fill the 2nd LOV.

    All your queries based on the table? If Yes, you can use a variable binding for the lov attribute relative to the query to run on the LOV child.

    If they are based on different tables, you can create 3 different lovs for the child attribute and select what lov seem based on the parent attribute.

    I'll explain my problem... At the beginning of the application, the user choose a year, each year can have 3 status and based on the State to restrict or grant access to certain tabs, pages and options. I put the status of the year selected in an Application element and then I just use an authorization scheme to check if the user can access pages or options.
