check emails in windows 8

Hi to you all

It's just me, I can't seem to save an e-mail to another folder i.e. documents, impossible to find even a button/icon/app backup call what you want
Yes im new windows 8, but the help file is just useless
see you soon

Hi Steve,.

Thanks for the reply.

I want to suggest that you can save attachments if present in your e-mail in the document folder.

Please follow the steps below to save documents in modern Mail App.

Arrival an attachment in an e-mail through the application Mail in Windows 8, you'll recognize it: it is a large rectangle at the top of your e-mail. The rectangle lists the name of the file containing the Word as download listed located directly underneath.

(a) click on the word download next to the attachment.

This indicates the app Mail actually download the file. Until you click on the rectangle, the Mail app shows only the name of the attached file and the file size. Once the download is complete, the rectangle turns into an icon representative recently downloaded file.

(b) when the file is downloaded on the Mail app, click on the attached file icon and choose Save.

Who tells the Mail application to copy the file to your e-mail and save it in a folder on your computer.

(c) choose a folder to receive the file saved.

The file selector Windows 8 will appear, allowing you to navigate to a folder.

(d) click on the files of words in upper left corner file selector and then choose which library to receive the incoming file: Documents, pictures, music or videos.

Save the file in one of your four libraries is the best way to ensure that you will find it later.

(e) click the button Save in the lower right of the file selector.

The Mail app saves the file in the library of your choice.

Once you have saved the file, the Mail app returns to the screen. And if you notice, the accessory is still inside the email. This is because the registration of attachments always saves a copy of the file sent. It is very convenient, because if you accidentally delete your saved file, you can return to the original e-mail and save the file again once

I hope this solves your problem, please contact us if you have any further questions.

How save you an email in the Inbox Windows 7 to a folder on the desktop? In Windows XP, you can right click on the email address and have the ability to record on various issues. Do a right click in Windows 7 does not seem to work.

Windows 7 is an operating system, not a mail client. Unlike XP and other versions of Windows, Win7 comes not with built in the e-mail program, so it is essential you specify that you are using.

I'll take a TROUBLEMAKER that you use Windows Live Mail. If you click on a message header, you have the same options as its OE made, including copies in the folder and move to folder in the program itself.

If you want to save a message to a folder on the desktop, your choice is always the same as OE. Either: File | Save slot, or just simply drag the message to a folder on the desktop. Bruce Hagen MS - MVP [Mail]

  • Emails from Windows Mail (only those!) incorrect impression

It is on behalf of my mother, who I'm helping remote...

She just bought and installed an HP Officejet 6500 Wireless all-in-one all in one printer to use with his laptop, running Windows Vista. Apparently everything is going well, except that she is unable to print correctly, emails from Windows Mail.   What emerges from the printer is about the left third of the email, printed on the right third of the paper.  It's so weird, I downloaded an analysis of the example of it at:http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/3729/emailscan.jpg

I have consulted the laptop remotely and checked everything obvious like size settings - not that I see a lot of alter, paper, but does not include what could be wrong.  It's only the emails that are affected, and there are two weeks that they were very good impression on his printer previous (one another, but very old, Officejet).

    Any ideas please?

    Thank you

Windows Mail uses the same as Internet Explorer print engine. It seems that the left margin is way.

In IE: File | Page layout. Default is 0.75, (19mm), all around.

  • Why can I print my email in Windows Live Mail?

Why can I print my email in Windows Live Mail? The printer icon does not even save a print request. Is it because of IE10? I have to copy and paste emails in Notepad to print? Time to return to IE9?

    Hello

-Is this problem specific to Windows Live Mail? Can be printed on different Web pages?

This problem may occur for one or more of the following scenarios:

Scenario 1: Your video card or video driver is damaged or outdated. Note Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can also cause script errors when printing from Internet Explorer
Scenario 2: You don't have printer permissions assigned
Scenario 3: Protected Mode is enabled for the web page Internet safety zone
Scenario 4: There is a problem with temporary folders on your user account and the low folder under the location of % TEMP % has been removed.

  • preserve in the "Inbox" emails in Windows Live Mail

When the messages are downloaded from my provider ISP (Charter) in my Windows Live Mail Inbox, they disappear at random.  Email I get and then put in the folder delete remains, but not those I decide to leave the Inbox.  I think it may be related to email on my Smartphone (Nokia 925) settings.  I recently changed the POP IMAP settings and this is where the problem started.  Is there a way to change the settings in Windows Live Mail to preserve e-mails in the Inbox?

I had the same problem with the new rest password.

    Can you please help.

I didn't know that my user name and password are correct-

This is your Gmail credentials that are not accepted. On this page: my client isn't accepting my login and my password, you will see several measures to be taken. Work through them, test the account in Windows Live Mail after each of them.

I have reset my password with the help of the Microsoft Web site.

  • After saving the emails from windows live mail, why not open them on my computer as the file extension is wlmail.fol?

After saving the emails from windows live mail, why not open them on my computer as the file extension is wlmail.fol?

wlmail.fol is a tiny text giving the name of the folder. The exported messages will have filenames like 00D13E83 - 000025DF.eml. If you don't see all of the files like this, your export probably did not work properly.

For a successful export, follow these directions:

    1. Set Windows Live Mail to work offline before starting.
    2. Create a temporary folder on your desktop * to contain the exported messages.
    3. In the Export Wizard, select the temporary folder, and then select all the folders.* *
    4. When it is complete, check that the number of files in each folder to the temporary folder is one more than the number of messages in the corresponding folder of WLMail.
    5. Copy the temporary file to its final destination.
If you use a reader not NTFS to do this, you will see a warning that certain file properties will not be copied files. This can be ignored.

    * Windows Live Mail do not work with files that are not on a local drive, as opposed to an external or network drive. This is avoided by using the office as a temporary folder location.
    * If you want to export the files sampled only, select each of them containing messages. Subfolders are not automatically selected by default.

  • Cannot receive emails through Windows Live Mail

I'm unable to receive emails with Windows Live Mail.  I get the message "you are currently working offline.  You want to go online now? "Check the Yes box, I get the same message twice.  After the third time I get the message «there was an error when you attempt to connect to the service Windows Live Calendar.» If the error persists, check if there is an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or communicate with the service. "I am able to receive and send messages through a comcast.net site but want to be able to use Live Mail I have in the past.  I started having this mistake two days ago.

Open Internet Explorer, and then press Alt + F to open the file menu. If work offline is selected, deselect it. If it is not selected, select it, wait a few moments and then deselect. Now check if Windows Live Mail is still offline. If this is the case, repeat the cycle to select/deselect in IE until WLMail Gets the message.

What version of Internet Explorer is installed? In Internet Explorer, press Alt - H has to do.

  • BlackBerry smartphone email Setup - Windows LiveMail error - update failed

Hello everyone, I'll try to be as accurate as possible, I'm sorry, until find us this first situation first, screenshots will have to wait.

I made the turn on the merry-go-round of configuration e-mail for more than a few hours now and I can't understand what could possibly impede this simple installation procedure. I forget something obvious ridiculously here?

Hooked up to a B - Berry Curve 9300 by Koodoo Mobile here in Canada a few days ago.

The package includes 2 GB of data, a text access and calling the package with visual voicemail.

Everything seems to work normally, I mean, I go to Configuration > email accounts (there is a short break, the software checks the updates), and then I get to the email settings window where you can choose among different messaging clients (Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL, Windows Live...)

By clicking on Windows Live, this opens up a submenu (@hotmail.com, @msn.com, @live.com)

I have scroll and select @hotmail.com enter my address complete email and password - hit continue and I get the error message "failed to update".

I have BES activated/installed or do I need to download a book service?

Do I need to adjust mobile settings in Windows Live?

Should I throw my curve of B-Berry under a bus and hope for the best?

On that last note, but what gives a joke? Any help appreciated and thanks in advance to all contributors.

I could not find all the answers on this forum about the error message that I received everything trying to implement my client WindowsLive Mail.

A quick call to Koodo Mobile quickly solved the problem. The technician would however not specify the cause of the problem. I know that Service books were broadcast on my device, as we had to check that the device has been registered on the network by means of access to the host Routing Table (Options > Search Bar > type in host , and then scroll down to select the host Routing Table - use the Menu key to save) and then I turned off the BB Curve 9300 removed the battery for 30 seconds and then reinstalled the battery allowing the machine to start.

    Everything works perfectly now.

You can reach Customer Service at 1-866-99-KOODO (1-866-995-6636).

Hope that this help anyone having similar problems with their BB Curve 9300.

  • Loss of historical emails using Windows Easy Transfer

Was previously running Windows XP with Office 2010, including Outlook 2010. Want to upgrade to Office 2013 which does not work on Windows XP so decided to upgrade to Windows 7 Home premium.  Following the instructions in Microsoft that I used Windows Easy Transfer to save all settings and data by following the instructions on an external hard drive. Has also created a copy of My Documents just to be safe. Following the instructions I installed Windows 7, reinstalled the data and settings from the Windows download file is then installed Office 2013.

All data files appear to be present and my contacts were all in Outlook 2013 however no historical emails were present. I had a lot of stored in subfolders under Inbox and sent messages and everything disappeared.

It seems strange that all contacts were copied and transferred across using Windows Easy Transfer, but not historical emails. There is no specific reference to this problem in Microsoft "upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7 instruction set.

Is it true that the files containing the e-mails were copied, but Outlook 2013 is looking for them in a different place, or does Windows Easy Transfer copy not the Inbox and sent to the files that would be a huge gap?

Windows Easy Transfer is not good to backup Outlook emails at all.

If you did a custom installation, check if the Windows.old folder to the root of the hard disk to see if your. PST file is there and copy it to your Documents folder in Windows 7.

Save the folder outlook located under:

    C:\Windows.old\Documents and Settings\Account_Name\Local Settings\Microsoft\Outlook

When you migrate to Windows 7, and then reinstall Microsoft Office, just backup copy of the contents of the folder Outlook in the following location:

    C:\Users\Account_Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\
