check point and polygon in the same table
HelloCan I store two different types of geometry as the Point and polygon in a table with one column of the SDO-Gemetry? I read somewhere that we can only store one type either points, polygon or line in one table with only on column geom, is that correct? If so, what would be the solution if the data is of type points and polygons? Should I create different table?
Appreciate any response or any type of recommendation.
FYI - I use oracle 10g with oracle spatial extension.

The fact that you combine several types of geometry in the same column has obvisouly some impact in the way that you investigate this type of column.
you could include a clause, for example, to filter on the type of geometry: where a.loc.gtype = 2001 (point gtype).
you could also, as you ask specifically points, through the access of the x and the coordinate of the point y (type) with a.loc.sdo_point.x =... and even for y.
but I think in your case, once you have built your spatial index, it may be better (in terms of performance) to fetch the spatial operator that uses the spatial index.
so the where clause would be: where sdo_relate (a.loc, (2001,8307,SDO_POINT_TYPE (107.53,32.53,null), null, null), sdo_geometry "mask = EQUALITY '") = 'TRUE '.

I want to create a query that is a union such that 2nd resultset is based on the game of results 1. I have a table that has parent and child records in the same table.

Is it ok if create Mt10 as principal and ParentUnitcode as foreign keys in the table itself?
The foreign key base table: OrganizationalUnit
Foreign key columns: ParentUnitCode
Primary/Unique key base: OrganizationalUnit
Primary/unique key col: Mt10

If the two tables are favouring a one-to-one relationship so there no need to have two separate tables and so you can have free referential foreign keys in the same table where the primary key.

So, you want to see all the tbl1 lines, if they have a match in log1, and for the grand total of lines, you must count the log1 lines if they have a match with tbl1. This looks like a job for a FULL OUTER JOIN:

I'm slowly stumbling along trying to figure things out space.
I have two tables, GEO_POINTS:

and POLYGON_AREAS:

Neither table is engraved in stone, if any, I can change some structure.
I'm trying to understand how to write a query to retrieve all the points in a polygon, perhaps even with an optional buffer provided by the user.
Conversely, I would probably also need to know what polygons a point would have drawn in, and it's the only request I could make any progress on.
What I have so far, which is not working properly, is the following:

In the light of the foregoing, I want to select all the lines of a third table (DEPOSITS_SEARCH), for all polygons which is a point. The DEP_ID column is my primary key for most of the data tables in the database, and the number rose in my application query. However, the above returns all rows. It should only return one, because I only have a polygon of test defined so far.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

better, you use the SDO_WITHIN_DISTANCE operator.

Read what geometry2 means in there. Read the examples and you will see that you have the geometry second in space operator as a builder. If this is what you need.

Name of the file and the measure in the same table?

I wrote the following VI which opens each image file in a folder and measure a certain size on the image. He then puts the result in a table.
The table has a column and N lines since I N images in my folder. How can I change this VI so that it puts the name of the file in the same table as well as the measurement?
I want the table to look like:
File1 measurement1
File2 GCA2
...
and so on.
Currently, it just shows
measurement1
GCA2
....
and so on.

You cannot use the Table Express. Like the properties page says: this is for digital data. You will need to use a bit of real LabVIEW to create the table. A table is simply a string 2D array. Convert the digital chain, build an array of 1 d of the filename and numberic strings and use a shift register to build a 2D array. Something like the code below.

I created with success of LOV for these fields.

For example, I have two data STORE (point) "and"(polygon) ROAD"and each store must have a contact point or points of contact for the nearest road.
I know what the closest route is using SDO_NN, but I don't know hot to get the point of contact.

FRM - 40202:Field must be entered on two blocks with the same table
I have two blocks, blockA and blockB, both from the same table that is tableX.
When I ask of blockA and it worked, then I go to blockB and modify data, and save, there is no problem. But when I do not run the query of blockA or if the query did not return any results, I go to blockB and change some data then save, I got this error. The cursor then go to first blockA point. So now, I have to delete this empty line before the Save.
Any suggestion?you set a few initial values programmatically for a block?

I dealt with this problem for months. Even hired a comp tech to fix it and still have the same question. I had my computer wiped and windows 7 and 8 then reinstalled by a professional. This all started when I upgraded form 7 to 8. After 7 to 8 my computer kept getting this error. . kept crashing. He was supposed to be fixed and it still does the same thing. You can not do in a trigger. Even if correct you this error of syntax, you will get the exception that I mentioned above.
Oracle is a multi-user system. Other users can modify the same table that you use.
So even if you could try to interview "all the records for this employee" some of them may be locked if other users access them. Also, an insert statement could try to insert two rows for an employee and the trigger could not have seen the other lines still.
If you want to work with data SETS (all records for an employee), you must write the PL/SQL code that LOCKS all lines updated to prevent others to interfere.
Then you make your operations but NOT in a trigger. Perform inserts and then use an UPDATE query to set this value.
Then VALIDATE to unlock the lines.
