  PANTONE Color Manager does not 'automatically' Refresh libraries; on the contrary, it gives you access to libraries for export in your applications.

  The steps to do this are entirely documented within the system of online help installed with the software and accessible from the Help menu. You can find them on Page 11 y. Here's a brief description:

  1. If your target applications are open, close them.
  2. launch PANTONE Color Manager
  3. go on display/Fandeck, then select the library you want to export.*
  4. go to file/export/select your application/choose L * a * b * to print or sRGB for Web design *.
  5. the library is exported and is now accessible from your target application.

  * PANTONE Color Manager also allows you the flexibility to assemble and work with color palettes, or apply an output profile for your front of libraries/pallets for export, to provide management of the PANTONE colors for a particular device. Please refer to the 'Help' system for more details.

  * PANTONE + Color Bridge libraries must be exported in CMYK.

  I have a CS3 with a 10.5.8, operating system and I want to print a file that I did with the Pantone color chart.

  My printer is a Canon Pixma iP 4000.

  I tried to use photoshop manages colors in handling, with cmyk-US web coated printer profile, with relative colorimetric intent color rendering.

  You will need xxxx PANTONE ink... ie: its for offset printing, printing etc. of screen not for desktop printers

• Help to find the Pantone colors

  Hello

  I try to use Pantone colors and some of them do not appear when I type the number e.g. 2333 CP.  I'm going between different libraries, sex / non-couche, etc., and most of them see fine.

  I have about 40 colors to find / match because I use to create accurate models of clothes.  It seems to be of those who are 2XXX I have problems with. Does anyone know what is the problem?

  There is a Pantone iPhone app that includes 4 figures. A sample of the color (of modest value) comes with its Lab value (among others). By entering the value of laboratory in the Photoshop color picker, you can see and have precise color. Your 2333 C is 46, 1, 3. (It shows Lab to two decimal places. I rounded it)

  I use Illustrator CC15 and I'll be damned if I can find a Pantone swatch library. He has everything but. It is an important tool for designers and printers. Is this all just hidden or non-existent? I googled several times with key words such as Pantone Illustrator CC libraries and you can find that old information on Illustrator CS4, CS5 and CS6.   For many of us, they are the ultimate reference when it comes to print, and they are often used as the basis for the choice of values CMYK, not only as substitutes, but probably more often as inspiration. And also as a source of inspiration for the choice of the RGB for the web and all that.

• After you have installed the latest Pantone color library in photoshop, some colors are inaccessible

  I try to refer to a specific Pantone color in Photoshop. I want to use the color library browser, so that I can easily get an overview of my chosen color variants. The color, I'm working with is not available in the original Pantone Coated color book provided with my version of Photoshop. So I downloaded and installed the Pantone color Manager and checked the color I want IS identified in the book lying in the Pantone color Manager. Great! I saved the book of color as a .acb file and installed in Photoshop. But I can not yet select some colors. They exist in Pantone color Manager, but they are not searchable from within Photoshop. Very strange!

  Here are the steps I followed to bring the book of the color in Photoshop:

  1. launch Pantone Color Manager

  2. Select the formula Guide - coated color book

  3. perform a search for "2128" and ensure that color exists.

  4. choose Save as... and save the file with a .acb (Adobe color book) file. I named it "PANTONE + Solid Coated - V3.acb.

  5. exit Photoshop

  6 copy the book of color in books color file in Photoshop (/ Applications / Adobe Photoshop CC 2015/Presets/color books).

  7. start Photoshop.

  8. open the color picker and click the button "color libraries".

  9. choose my new book of color in the menu ("PANTONE + Solid Coated-V3')

  10 type '2128': not found (Photoshop shows me 212c instead).

  I scrolled the book color in Photoshop - color isn't here!

  What I am doing wrong?

  You want to export the color book. Then it must meet 2-1-2-8 in the Photoshop color picker and I would choose Lab as the color model during export.

  Hi, this seems to be a minor problem, but I'm having this...

  Like all designers, I usually use Pantone colors, so I like to have always very accessible the Pantone color chart...

  Illustrator remind opened all the windows, I told him to have opened, for example the window of the magic wand... the window brushes... the window styles... the window color chart... every single window is retained by Adobe Illustrator, which is quite normal.

  Good, however, if I want to show the pantone color chart... I'm going to... Window... Swatch Library... Books of color...

  Perfect, the Pantone color chart window appears and all is well.

  However, when I close illustrator... this window disappears and when I open Illustrator, it don't me remember this window was opened and only show more, so the show once again I have to go to the window... Swatch Library... Books of color... PANTONE + Solid Coated

  I would like to remember color windows books as Illustrator do not forget others windows placed in my workspace, but it doesn't.

  I tried to save my work space and nothing...

  Can someone please help as how to change my document to be pantone 280C?

  If the identity of the brand should always be Pantone 280 logo should exist as such. Ideally, a logo should be designed in the expected color, in levels of gray and black & white. Are these are available in the original native format? Always lean towards the use of a vector image format if available.

  It is important to know how it is to be printed. My answer "1 - export a PDF ready press and your printer to print all in Pantone 280.» They print everything in shades of gray and run Pantone 280 " only works in traditional offset. If it is digital printing answer 2 applies.

  For a jpg file, open the image in Photoshop (or equivalent) and convert it to grayscale (giving it a unique name; save your original).

  In InDesign select the image with the direct Selection tool and apply the Pantone color chart.

  the window displaying the pantone colors shows just sort of Pantone colors (PANTONE ex P 32 - 8U). I need to select among "normal Pantone colors. In the "color mode" list I can choose all the different colors pantone scale, but in the end, I get just this strange Pantone P range. I have this problem only in indesign; in Illustrator, I can just pick colors from pantone, I want. HEEELP PLEASE! TIA

  You are looking for a shade in Illustrator, 2027 and 2028. They are part of the PMS Solid Coated series Guide Plus formula of 2013.
  
  Looked in the PANTONE + CMYK and PANTONE libraries + solid coating and they didn't come. All the tracks?
  

  They are part of the 336 new colors that have rolled into the swatches Pantone 2 Version in early 2014. None of these books of swatch is provided by Adobe.

  You can either buy the Pantone Color Manager and export them. I believe you can also download and install the trial version and export them. If you have recent books of Pantone physical, I think you can get a free copy of the PCM - look on their Web site for more information.

• Change the background color of the slide show full-screen when the option fit content proportionally

  I signed up for a demo of Muse and I must say that I am very impressed. After using Dreamweaver in the past in school, often get bogged down in the code, Muse is a designers dream. I even told a few friends about it, calling for «InDesign for web designers» The features and tutorials on Adobes site, are fab but I need now to a little help.

  I want several images to fit the entire screen on a specific section of my Muse site, just below the navigation bar. I noticed the best way to do this is to create a slideshow full screen. With this option I can add one or more images fade in and out - communicate various messages and points of sale. By default, as the widget options are defined in the charging framework, which extends from my image to completely fill the browser. Unfortunately with this selected the image loses some quality and seems to zoom in, getting cropped in the process. When you change the settings to adjust the content proportionally everything looks great. The chart is smack bang under my sailing as I desire however there is also a horrible gray area each side because the graph is now its original size. Grey on each side seems to be the background color of the slideshow, but I can't find a way to change this - from grey to black. • Folder "Global colors without a name" of Pantone Color Manager ASE

  I'm not sure if this - or something similar - has been answered before, but I couldn't find any suitable thread/message /...

  All first of all system information:

  OSX imac running 10.8.x and macbook OSX 10.9.1 running

  * Illustrator CC

  * Pantone Color Manager

  I try to use the Pantone Fashion and home / color paper library provided by Pantone color Manager, clean for the use of the radiant missawi 18-3224 TPX (color of 2014). I saved the library named in a *.ase file and opened it in artificial intelligence. The number of colors, I guess, that all colors are imported, but I can't find the 18-3224. BUT there are a lot of 'no name Global Colors"with some of them who could be in question. Using 'pantone.ase xxd' in the terminal I can find at least the name "radiant 18-3224 TPX Orchid", which means, it is saved in the given file. Does anyone have an idea where start or - even better - how to solve this problem?

  Dear Scott:

  Your copy of PANTONE Color Manager is seriously out of date, because this problem has been fixed for a long time.

  To correct this, you will need to register at myPANTONE if you have not already done so - it is a free registration and will allow access to the PANTONE Color Manager update installer.  If you need to register you can do it first at https://www.pantone.com/pages/MYP_myPantone/mypMemberProfile.aspx.

  So here are the steps needed to correct this problem:

  1. delete all exported PANTONE FASHION + libraries HOUSE of all Adobe applications.

  2. log into your myPANTONE account and go to tools/downloaded software.

  3. download the PANTONE Color Manager for Mac or Windows Installer as appropriate.  It is the first product on the software downloads page.

  4. run the installer of PANTONE Color Manager directly on your current installation, which will update to version 2.1.

  5. the re-export the PANTONE FASHION + HOME of PANTONE Color Manager libraries for your Adobe products.  All exported PANTONE FASHION + HOME colors will now properly appear in Adobe Illustrator.

  Please note: when you start the PANTONE Color Manager Update, you will be asked to perform a "PantoneLIVE" update on the cotton F & H PANTONE library.  This update will remove the cotton F & H PANTONE and PANTONE F & H cotton - libraries of new colors and replace them with a single cotton F & H PANTONE library with all the colors of 2,100 in chromatic arrangement.

  If I have only the pantone color, find the CMYK in artificial intelligence?

  Double click on the sample, and you should see the CMYK values for this ink.

  

  If you want to convert this to print in CMYK, there are 2 settings to change

  • Book in CMYK
  • Spot to process

  You will notice the icon change in the color chart to show that this color is so more spot but CMYK.

  There is now no exact value of CMYK to PMS colors. Adobe and Pantone changed their CMYK values over the years. While most of the CMYK matches are close, some are significantly different because you have only 4 inks trying to simulate the pantone together library, and a fluorescent or metallic PMS color for example would be very far. More muddy PMS colours usually have a close game, but especially those most dynamic have a close game.
