You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

Refer to these discussions because many more excellent advice however don't forget to check your antivirus
programs, the main drivers and BIOS update and also solve the problems with the cleanboot method
    first.

  • What 2 people when they are attached to my files?

For some reason, I now have folders that contain 2 little people on the bottom left and I am unable to read certain files.  The message is that I only have read-only privileges so impossible to open the program in the folder.  Wehn the fisrt started to happen, I could open the program and have full access, but as soon as I closed the file, I got the only message read next time I tried to connect.  I created all the folders and programs and the data in them so I don't know why I'm being denied access.  Can someone help and tell me what does the symbol mean on my file?

Hi, I'm sorry it took a few days to answer, but as you can imagine, these things take a lot of time trying.  I want to thank you for your response, I think I have stumbled on a solution.  First of all, I restored the computer just before my last update of windows, as I don't know that I don't have this problem until after that.  When the computer rebooted, the folder that used to have the little 2 people, no more!  However all the files and subfolders still had them so as you advised I ran malware and spy downloads who found nothing, so I downloaded the free trial version of Pandasoft and, as you had predicted, he finds 47 infections!  I'll keep this one!

Once I was happy that my system was OK, I tried the following.  I created another folder, copy the subfolders and files inside one by one, check that the small 2 people didn't follow them, then deleted all the files in the original folder.  Funny thing happened then they took ages to move to the trash and there was a comment in the box that says 'elements of discovery' - then I was informed that it was shared files!  That's what the small 2 people!  I don't know how or why they have become shared files, it is a stand-alone computer and I'm the only person who uses it, so I can only think that this is come on Windows update about may 10.  Since the announcement, I was contacted by other people who have had the same problem.

I was in all the files that I had problems with and everything seems to be OK now, at least I can enter in their, so before I receive another update of windows, I've created a new restore point and backup of my drive, just in case!

Thanks again for your help, it's good to know that there are people out there who take the time to help others.
