Checksum (4 characters)

Hi all

I have a serial device with a communication focused on the message, where he used the checksum of 4 characters at the end of the message (command).

Example command: "START " (space is included at the end).

in ASCII: "83 84 65 82 84 32."

so the sum is: "430"

This decimal to hexadecimal (4 characters) is: "01AE."

and the message desired is: "START 01AE.

So I tried with the array of strings of bytes and Add items table, but result is only "AE" and I have found no solution to repair.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    I am short of DASYLab 11 and try to write a set value of a Eurotherm temperature controller via the AE-BISYNCHRONES on RS232 Protocol. To do this, I have send some control characters as well as the address of the unit I'm dominant, then the a few characters command and the new set point, then a checksum XOR of the second part of the string (control characters + new set point). I can't find a way to do it, as the format /cx command gives the checksum of the entire string. I tried to place the first part of the string in the channel, the second part and the trainer of checksum in channel two, and then click sequential output, but that has not worked. • Remove the checksum of each row in the table

    Hallo

    I got out as table and since I have just read the data with the checksum

    For example, I have to neglect the last 2 bytes in each row of the table. I tried several times but I can't succeed. It would be nice if someone help me to go around this problem.

    Hi Karine,.

    have you tried really 'several times' to remove the last two characters of each string? Using an autoindexing FOR loop?

  • checksum calculation

    Hi everyone in the Forum,

    I have an instrument used to measure some concentartion of gas which emits a series message that looks like this

    2007-03-12 11:37:14 MDT,0x00000001,NH3,0.46,0.00,ppmm,21%,5.0,11,0,0,0

    or

    2007-03-12 11:37:22 MDT,0x00000001,NH3,0.41,0.00,ppmm,21%,5.0,11,0,0,0

    I analyze some of these characters, convert it to numbers and plotthem in real time. For example, 21% is the signal strength I draw in real time using labview. Now some time the instrumnet does not export the whole string completely and maybe missing half of the line. I want to run a sensitive position on the string checksum to check that it is complete and correct and not to dismiss this line. I tried to use CRC16 but each time it gives me a 4 digits and characters such as e.g. F415 or was only numbers for example 7014, I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO INTERPRET THESE CHARACTERS. Grateful if someone can give me a hint or tell me how to use the checkum (or only one) to reject the imcomplete channels.

    A CRC is only useful for checking that a transmission has been successful.  It works as a parity.  It must be added to the message from the sender and then verified by the receiver.  So in short, the CRC will not help you here.  It seems that data are separated by commas.  Maybe you can count how many commas are in the message to verify that you have all the settings message.

  • create the checksum of the c language

    I want a polycold of RS 232 via view of control laboratory.

    In the manual, I found the code to determine the amount of control. When I try this, I get other checksum values. I have a bit of language attached so c and the description of the manual.

    Who can help me and understand what must be the checksum.

    This seems to work:

    A very big hint is that when you send a '0' or '2' or 4' to the instrument you send ascii, not literal values.  A second clue is to have a few ascii-> mappings of characters in your head (by example 0, a, A) is often useful.

    Can you please help me to solve this error?

    Hi Andy,.

    each exclusion LC_ALL line contain the same value = "" pl_PL. UTF-8 ".

    All about UTF - 8 sounds good. LC_ALL is not necessary.
    Even your httpd.conf looks good on this part:

    AddDefaultCharset UTF-8

    But I found one thing in your ssl.conf on that I would take a look at:

    RewriteRule ^/$ https://%{SERVER_NAME}/apex\/f\?p=800$1 [R]

    AFAIK, rewriting must be able to encode all characters in non-ANSI like % xx hexadecimal codes in output if you turn it off:

    RewriteRule ^/$ https://%{SERVER_NAME}/apex\/f\?p=800$1 [NE,R]

    If in case you get already them coded, this will cause the encoding double that you see.
    You should check if all requests come this way. Otherwise, you should leave the unchanged original rule and add a rule (before this one) which is just success messages and does not change any other requests.

    If this isn't the solution, I have another assumption:

    ########## Our changes ######################################################################

    # P3P IE SSL Frame

    Header set P3P "policyref=\"/w3c/p3p.xml\", CP=\"NOI DSP COR NID CUR ADM DEV OUR BUS\""

    mod_headers (of course), so the headers are modified by this Manager. But I expect not usually an effect as what you see in this module, possibly the url is (re) coded here as well. You can try to check who is comment on this article or the line where mod_headers is responsible.

  • How to add the checksum in a link online?

    Hello world.
    I have a small problem... I am building an app and all pages have the Access Protection Page = 'Arguments must have checksum.
    APEX automatically adds the checksum to the URLS in each BRANCH to point and generates a link.
    When I build a link within a procedure, I use APEX_UTIL. Function PREPARE_URL to add this checksum.
    But when I build a link online, I don't know how to add this checksum. Maybe it's just a java thing, but I'm new to javascript so I'm here guys ask for help.
    There are 2 situations where I use the links online:

    As a value of element that displays a link:
    href = "f? p = & APP_ID.:22: & SESSION. : & DEBUG. : P22_TABID:9 "> history

    And in a target URL that opens a pop-up window, some like this:
    JavaScript:popUp2('f?p=&APP_ID.:22:&session.::&Debug.::P22_TABID:9',500,400)

    How to add totals to control here?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello

    Just for you (and the other) know, the APEX_UTIL. Function PREPARE_URL, Scott has done you, adds a parameter - & cs = - f originally? p URL. When using JavaScript, as in your example, you must escape the ampersand (and other element values, that may contain special characters). You can learn more on this topic in here - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10513_01/doc/apirefs.310/e12855/apex_util.htm#CDEIBCJD.

    Kind regards

  • Monospaced number characters in the Finder

    I'm on a MacBook Pro running Mac OS Sierra (upgrade on the spot, not a clean install) of the retina 2012. In the time that I've been using the new OS, I was finding myself annoyed by the way in which files are displayed in the Finder. It seems that the new police (I don't remember what is happening a few weeks ago on El Capitan) have set with spacing of the numeric characters, which causes the file list display the contents of the directory in a wavelike pattern which gives it a rather ugly appearance and becomes annoying when you try to scan through the list of files.

    I've read mention a lot about a new San Francisco monospaced font that I think made his debut this year, but why it is not implemented as a system font is disconcerting. Is it the way it is supposed to be, or something not properly get upgraded during the update process? If there is some sort of command terminal or utility for Finder using a correct fixed-width font, I'd like to hear it!

    FWIW, I do not believe any version of Mac OS x uses a fixed-width/spacing font in the Finder. Even if the numeric characters are spacing you would have the same problem with alphabetic characters mixed. And even if everything was at constant spacing there would be a ripple on the right because of the names of files of different length.

  • Window Popup with strange characters when you want to play music from the cloud

    When I try to play music on the cloud (music downloaded on my computer), I get a popup with some strange characters. It was working fine 2 days ago. Nothing has changed on my computer. I tried uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling. Shows the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

    This is what looks like the pop-up window.

    PS - all anti-virus software are up and running.

    As an addendum, I tried to download music (by clicking on the cloud icon, which then shows an arrow pointing downwards). This popup has shown once again.

    Then I thought maybe it was having a problem with my account or my computer don't think she was allowed. So I checked my account login, and I was connected. Then I tried allowing my computer and this popup appeared again. I then tried my scroll wheel and it seems that it is a right screen. I guess that is the lower right button 'accept' but I'm not confident in the present.

    Strange things brewing.

  • How can I change European keyboard to English characters?

    I recently got an Apple iMac and the keyboard is European.  It's not hit a number of characters as they are shown on the keyboard which is irritating.

    I examined the means to change... through the language on the system of preferences Safari... but nothing helps.

    Advice please?

    The keyboard layout is controlled by the system/preferences/keyboard Sources (no Safari or any other application).

    Go there and make sure that only the layout for your keyboard is on the list.  If you'd say what language or you hardware keyboard is for, I could tell you is you need more exactly.

    If you are in the United Kingdom by using an Apple keyboard, you should have British on the list.  If you are using a Windows keyboard, you should have British-PC on the list.

  • Bug trying to create the link with the Cyrillic characters in URL

    I'm transforming words in my text on the links, but with Cyrillic characters in their URL (such as https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ хорошо). The problem is that, depending on how create the link, the page refuses to accept the URL.

    It's my preferred method (which accepts not the Pages):

    1. Write or select the text to be transformed into link;
    2. Press cmd + k;
    3. Paste the URL (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ хорошо) in the field;
    4. Hit enter or click out;
    5. When I check the link, it is www.apple.com.

    The strange is that other methods work very well.

    1 against nature (accepts Pages):

    1. Delete my word;
    2. In its place, paste the URL (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ хорошо);
    3. Hit the space bar (a link is created automatically with the correct URL);
    4. Edit the link that is created and change its text;
    5. When I check the link, he kept correct.

    2 against nature (accepts Pages):

    1. Write or select the text to be transformed into link;
    2. Press cmd + k;
    3. Find a way to build a version with my URL (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%D1%85%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%BE%D1%88%D0%BE) escape sequence;
    4. Paste the URL with escape sequence in link field;
    5. Hit enter or click out;
    6. When I check the link, ironically, is хорошо https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/.

    To stretch more:

    1. Editing a link created successfully (with any success methods above);
    2. Changed its URL (from хорошо https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ to https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ плохо)
    3. Hit enter or click out;
    4. When I check the link, it's still хорошо https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/;
    5. Finally edited and changed its URL still once, now remove the Cyrillic (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki);
    6. Press enter, click out and he finally accepted the URL.

    Pages seems to be denying the creation of links with the URL that contains Cyrillic characters (only?), but exclusively through his little creation of link popup. I think it's a simple problem, but I'm sure it's very annoying.

    Everyone knows the same?

    Cyrillic characters in the range of table encoding UTF-8 code points u + 0400 - u + 04 FF are represented by two bytes. These people must be encoded as a percentage (read the two paragraphs of the current standard of article), as the Pages v5.6.2 will convert automatically URI to this encoding for you in the link Inspector. It will simply ignore what it considers incorrect URI links, they are Cyrillic, or even English.

    Use what is easier for you, and that Pages v5.6.2 accepts.
