  I suggest you perform the upgrade in-Place on Windows 7, this would help you to solve the problem without losing any data or application.

  I love chess and play using the pre-installed game Chess Titans on my Windows 7 pc. But recently, the animation, where it shows the moving parts, is not displayed. In the options box, 'show animations' is checked, but it is grayed out. If anyone can help?

  I don't have a PC with Chess Titans to test, but I have to assume that this would be the option 'Show animations inside windows', I think that the 1st or 2nd in the list.

• Chess Titans conceded not

  I have the black King is in check, and the only place that the King can move is covered. If black tries to move his piece to capture the mine, he also will place his King in check, basically, checkmate.   You should maybe download and install from some third-party Web sites. Chess Titans is not included in Windows Vista Home Basic or Windows Vista Starter.

  Not accessible games

  I haven't had any changes consciously, and the games do not work in any user account.  When I've done sfc/scannow (command prompt) he said that I was not the administrator.  I could learn from another source to solve this problem - in the start menu, right click on the command prompt icon, and then click Run as administrator.  Hope everybody help with this problem.  If you do not have command prompt in your Start menu, any type of command prompt in your search box and it should appear.

  Assuming you are using Windows 7, Chess Titans, click the game , and then Options. Now, make sure the box labeled always save the game at the output is checked.

  You can try the procedure if you are using windows vista or 7 below:

  a. Click Start > click Control Panel > click on uninstall a program
  b. click on turn Windows features on or off
  c. click on the Plus sign next to games.
  d. remove a checkmark next to Mahjong Titans.
  e. restart the computer
  f. now return to the same place and put a check mark for this game and restart the computer.

  These error messages can occur if you (or software) also disabled Aero. Aero must be on (and supported by the video card) to play Chess Titans. "192GO should be enough for everyone." (of the miniseries "Next generation jokes")

  EDIT: I tried compatibility mode, no luck.

  According to the program, it does not work on a 64-bit so make OS run natively is very likely.

  If you have another Windows license, you can still use Windows Virtual PC to run virtually, but keep in mind any visualization program has limited graphics ability and it may not always work well or very quickly.
