  I bought Windows 8 a month ago and have been using it since with no problems, until today, so a summary of what happened:
  I installed Windows 8 Pro 10/27/2012, performed a clean installation and created two user accounts for security reasons, an administrator account (Windows Live) and a local user account, the account that I use every day (UAC enabled etc.).
  I have two running, Norton 360, and Webroot SecureAnywhere security solutions, all being two completely up to date and security scans are frequently performed.
  During this last month, I also installed a reliable software (like steam, backup and other software), and whenever I need to install new software I need elevation (UAC) and need to enter the Admin password in order to give the user rights to install or modify all parameters (so I know that my password is OK).
  Now, today, when I arrived home, Sugarsync software found one updated and asked to rise. I entered the password, but it was not accepted... I thought that I was entered miss it so I tried again and again and again and again... It is not just to be accepted. I, of course, knew the password has been entered correctly because I need to enter more than once per day every day for the last month and I entered without any problems (I checked the keyboard and language settings and open the notebook and typed the password to make sure it wasn't a mistake of keyboard or something). Then I though my Windows Live account has been compromised and tried to connect, the connection was successful, be it I choose Reset the password and changed. Even after changing the password, the connection has failed.
  Recovery, I know that no one has changed my admin password. I know also that I am correctly enter and my Windows Live account is OK (at least it seems), now I'm locked in the normal user account.
  So the question is, is this a known problem? I read a few posts on what seems to be the same problem, but they are all either abandoned or inconclusive.
  Although I backed everything up, I really do not want to perform another installation, is an official Microsoft Fix it?

  I had a problem on logging Admin because the administrator account is a Windows Live account and it has been locked by Webroot fix anywhere, but once Webroot has launched an update, everything was fixed.

  But do you have security solutions installed? Your local account or is it a Windows Live account? If it's a Live account, you can connect to Windows Live using a browser and your credentials?
