  I have improved my Qosmio X 300-126 to win 7 and installed all the drivers (from the toshiba site) and updated my bios and the optical drive (dvd drive) and the thing is that

  Flash cards only works with the mouse and no keyboard shortcut! as the FN key is dead but worked fine in vista.
  And the other problem is that the reader of card don t work, which I think is the "unknown device" that I have in the Panel and devices don't know how to fix this problem.

  I had the same problem after upgrade to windows 7, but the solution is pretty easy: just install the latest Toshiba Value added Package and Support Utility for Windows 7 Flash cards. If it s is not no for Windows 7 on X 300, just search by Satellite L500 and download them it worked for me! :)

  You need to download card reader driver. You can find it on the Toshiba site too. :)

• Satellite M60: Problem with SD/MMC card reader

  I have a Satellite M60 Series. Has been pre-installed with Windows XP Home. I have upgraded to Windows XP Pro, SP 1.
  Installed all the drivers, but got an error when you try to install the Intel Chipset drivers, allways ask it lacks USB driver usbehc.sys. Another problem is that I can not read the SD/MMC card reader. In fact I reinstalled the Cardbus driver, but still I am not able to read any card about it.
  I appreciate really all advice on this subject.

  Satellite M60 is newer units and I have no experience with it, but if you please check the download area of Toshiba and you will find instructions to facilities. You will see that cart drive is with cardbus driver.

  I don't know if it's important, but all drivers are designed for SP2 and if you use SP1, it is possible that there is a problem because of this.

  I upgraded to Windows 7 to 8 some time ago and noticed that my PC is sluggish. My Realtek CardReader is more compatible, but I can't update or uninstall apparently. I tried both and the problem persists. In my device manager then my memory - tech devices the Realtek PCIE card reader has a yellow exclamation mark next to it. I don't know what to do because I can't uninstall it OR update the driver.

  If there is that no device Base system not listed in Device Manager in need of drivers, then the unit is completely dead/disconnected from the motherboard.

  I use a card reader Addonics AEPUDDU Digi - PCMCIA (USB for PC connection) drive with a desktop XP computer.  Now, when I plug in any card memory PCMCIA (I tried several), the card reader recognizes the insertion of the card (the Green led lights up), like the PC (the icon appears in the system tray), but it does not affect no matter what drive letter to the map, so I can't access it all (through Windows Explorer).  If I click on the icon to eject, I get the usual pop-up message ("Remove USB mass storage device"), still only refers to a drive letter.  Clicking on this message gives the 'Safe to Remove Hardware' popup normal.

  Assuming you are trying to read of the same type and media memory size that used to work and other USB devices plugged into the same USB taken work, it seems that the device failed.  That means Addonics offers technical support?

  Hi, I had a T61 7665 - 12G with a problem on the smart card reader. The Device Manager in windows 7 Enterprise, does not. And the only way to install the driver must already discovered HW.

  This means that a update driver card reader won't help you!

  First of all, you should check your user manual to see which cards are compatible with your internal card reader!
  Generally, these details can be found in the manual pre-installed.

  Model of laptop you know me not, but I doubt you'd be able to use the 8 GB Sony Memory Stick. Perhaps the size didn't is simply not supported.
