CIM training material

Hello... We are currently a VMWare Academy and intend to teach the ICM in the near future. Currently, we the NDG device and work on the implementation of the pod for future training. However, for a teachers college, where can I find resources such as the PPT and other training material? I browsed this site a lot, but I can't find anything but the links that point to other links.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi all

I use ESX3.5 for awhile now, and soon I will participate in the training of VSphere so I can try the VCP 4 exam. Can anyone recommend good books that are on the market that are good to explain the new features in Vsphere but also good preparation for examination and training courses.

I'd be curious to hear your comments.

    Thank you

  • under condition of read/write terminals on the side of the connector (basic training 3)

    Hello

During my practice towards the review of the CLD, I examine the Core 3 online training material too. I just read a few tips of 'best practices' on the forum, for example this post:

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW/Community-Nugget-wired-terminals-in-subdiagrams-clearing-up-the/m-p/...

It should be noted, that we should not use terminals (which are on the connector pane) to the inside of while loop or condition of the structure. Neither control, nor indicators (read/write terminals): "terminals conditionally read or written on the side of the connector are BAD!"

I can find many examples in the online training materials, when the indicators and controls are placed inside while loop and the case of structures in a Subvi.

I guess I should not do this during my review of the CLD, as they will run benchmark on my project? Should not be the core training materials updated some time? Or it's just not too important to have terminals on the outside? I would lose points during the CLD Exam my project as in the Core 3 screws?

example 1: Core 3, exercise 4-6 design of an error-handling strategy:

    EDIT:

What's even more ugly in this project, is that, in the case of 'Get empty Cue', the Cue output indicator is updated via a local variable, because the indicator is not accessible via 'outside ': wire

Nice catch on the training material.  that the application would take an if subject to a review of the CLD test graders.

As noted in the nugget: sentencing of perfomance for conditionally reached terminals is a function of the size of the data.  So, it is sometimes acceptable for simple data.  The larger point being to learn about compromise and make the right choice for your code.

Preping for the CLD on other means of hand knowing that VI Analyzer will run on your project.  Like any other code review you walk in - know the guidelines for the review and code to ' review ' as well as 'reply spec.'

I've not seen an instance where an example of shipping (2013 and later versions) would fail this test VIA (there are a few screws deep inside the vi.lib which can date back to before the adoption of this recommendation from style)

  • Where to find training for Windows 8.1?

    Original title: teacher

I need to buy something to teach me how to use 8.1 of Windows and Office 2013 {latest}. Professor teaches has a package for 2013 Office and Windows 8, but not article 8.1; 8.1 is sold separately. Would Windows 8 teach me to understand 8.1, or y at - there many differences?

However, there are some differences, mainly aesthetic. For example, Windows 8.1 we'll have more sizes tiles and customize your environment a little more.  Yet, it's probably important enough to want to take a course for him specifically.

A site that I recommend is Lynda.com, who has a TON of update training material.

  • Options of certification for DBA 9i trained in 2014 DB

    Hello

Looking for an affirmation if you please...

My background is; I took courses Oracle 9i a few years ago, but didn't have enough experience to feel at ease with the exams. Having now gained a good experience I would like now to start with the associated certification, but I don't know what is the best way for me despite scouring Web Oracle University site.

Ideally, I would like to take an OCA 9i and use my existing training material and then move on to 11 g/12 c so that I do not need to take additional training on similar topics.

Confusion I have is that I can't find a SQL 9i certification exam? It fell? Is 12 c the only material supported for SQL review now? I'll have this problem with the OCP exams or have I reason to say that OCP 9i exams are always available?

Advice from your own experience would be much appreciated. Thank you very much

9i exams were withdrawn last year.  The oldest track that can be taken now is for Oracle 10 g.  However, I would recommend certifying in 11g and upgrade to 12 c or certifying directly in 12 c.  For the moment, (i.e. 25 March 2014), I would probably recommend certifying 11 g first because the number of companies running 12 c will always be quite low.

  • Evo training

For Evo succeed vmware must ensure that access to training for the same and doesn't depend on partners of training material.

Most of the mentioned hardware isn't a great professional experience in training.

VMware can also add a Module of training Evo in VSAN deploy and manage courses.

Non availability of training was one of the reasons that vmware VSA cannot get traction in the market.

You make some valid points here, but there are a number of things that must be clarified...

First of all, EVO is pre-installed at the factory. So really the only 'installation' is upward and the connections to the TOR. In fact, I think that an EVO is easier to install a VSA is and gives more usable disk space and for a cost per gigabyte...

IF the customer has given the OEM of the IPs, IP ranges, names and passwords - then it literally is a 15 min installation after clicking on 'building the device '. However, if the client wishes to customize the prior Evo build - for example to change the VLAN Tags (that they provided) which would add a few minutes...

vDS is NOT a prequistie. Evo uses standard switches... Even if under license of Enterprize Plus an EVO. There is no requirement to configure the distributed switches.

The real 'demand' is here that the customer needs to 10Gb switch - I think its fair to say that is not common in the SMB/ROBO environment. I suspect that many OEMs will ask the client to validate their switch configuration. IPv4/IPv6 multicast is used by the "Zero Configuration: network" on the networks of management/VSAN. As the name suggests, no configuration is required on the EVO, its used as part of the discovery process to find the nodes and find new devices. We spend more this tick off the box option on the switch for the VLANs that need...

Any one of my plans is to order an EVO one of our fair suppliers as a customer and document/folder this process. So, I can get a feel for the real world customer experience would be. In fact I could see if my wife, Carmel can set up... :-)

  • Fireworks training: cs5 vs. cs4

    Hello

I am looking for training on fireworks.

In reality, these courses are are on fireworks cs5 but I have only the version cs4.

I would like to know if the interface, menus... cs5 is totally different from cs4, so if I can follow a training of cs5 on my cs4 version.

    So, what are the differences?

    Thank you

Overall, you should be fine to learn how to use Fireworks CS4 with the training material for CS5. There are no differences in the interface or menus, although certainly incremental differences exist between the two versions. If you are interested, here's a decent article on CS5 feature improvements:

    http://Fireworks.smashingmagazine.com/2010/05/22/Adobe-Fireworks-is-it-worth-switching-to-CS5 /.

Basically, you should use what you have found and start learning!

  • Tecra A8: Mat * un DVD - Ram UJ - 841 s is not read / burn any disc

    Hi all

I have a laptop Tecra A8 with Mat * un DVD - Ram UJ - 841 s. This device is not read / burn any disc. However, Mat * one bed the recovery CD at startup.

I tried everything: I deleted the registry entries (lower and upper), I uninstalled Ant again once the driver installed... but it doesn't work. Any help?

    Best regards

    Ribera.

    Hello

In addition to the fact that you can boot from the Toshiba Recovery CD, I think that it s a problem of training material
I think it's a matter of calibration of lens readers possibly the lens can not calibrate correctly in the right position of s, and this is why the drive can't handle the inserted media.

This could be the worst case, because this fault is repairable by replacing the drive.

  • time real cRIO and confusion of FPGA

I'm confused on the use in real time or FPGA.

I learn from training material, you use cRIO with FPGA and real-time, you have two

synchronization means: one is the analytical engine, another is calendar FPGA. However, the frequency of synchronization

real time is limited to 500 Hz, see attachment.

I wonder, if I want to acquire samples using 5 k rate of real-time data acquisition card

system, such as cRIO and sampling interval is 1 Hz. That is, using a timed loop which is 1 Hz and inside

the loop, can I use DAQmx to acquire waveform using5k rates?  or I have to using of FPGA to acquire waveforms

Whe I want to acquire signals with greater than 500 Hz rate?

cDAQ is not an FPGA, but use DAQmx.
