Cintiq Companion 2 weird ram scratch sizes Photoshop CC

Well, then I'll have a weird question.

Here are the facts:

Having a companion, without the screen, long story short, Wacom replaced by an improved CC2, 16 GB vs 8 gb etc.

Running the latest version of photoshop on both the CC (which, with the exception of his failure to screen, is well)

and CE2, the same file uses a much larger amount of ram on the CC2.

Create a document (7 x 10 72 dpi RGB file) very low on both

machines.  On the CC, it's 1 GB, while on CE2, it's like 5 GB.

In the two related videos, I show a larger file (comic size, 600 dpi, layers) opened on the two

machines and we see an even greater disparity in the reported ram.  I go through a series of image size

changes to see if the gap translates into a difference in performance.

As far as I can see, the CC2 runs much more quickly than the CC, but the performance difference is shrinking

greatly the more functions that are performed.

I guess I would like for you to see it and give his opinion on whether this is a real problem.

At the very least, it seems strange to the ram of the report.

I look forward to your thoughts.

Thank you!

well the 'problem' was just to have the tile cache set too high.

  • Wacom Cintiq Companion 2 + bug Flash Adobe ~ brush "jumps" on screen during the development

Equipment - Wacom Cintiq supplementary 2

Software - Adobe Flash CC 2015 (as well as 2014 and CS6... same bug replicated)

    Drivers - Wacom 6.3.11 - 4 ~ ~ ~ and Intel Iris Graphics 6100 version 10.18.14.4170

    OS - Windows 8.1

Let me start by saying 2 things:

    1. I've seen other posts similar to this issue, but often they resolve themselves by having disconnected and reconnected the cintiq or intuos in the computer. Given that the roommate of Wacom Cintiq is a stand-alone tablet computer running Windows 8 (.1), is not an option

2 spoiler alert... I have a solution for the symptom: change the text in the 'small 100%.' The problem, as I will describe below, is that it is a workaround for the symptom, and it does not solve the bug itself.

First... the question. In the image below, '1 2 3' on the left was drawn with Wacom pen using the Brush tool. '1 2 3' in the top-middle has been designed with my finger on the touch screen of the Companion 2. The lines right are actually 'points' that I did with the pen that jump radially out of a given time in the top right of the screen.

    flashcc2015.jpg

Second... the 'solution '. Change the display of the scale 'Small 100% ' (located in the control panel > hardware and audio > display...) Notice the orange arrow). I have attached an image with the parameter as seen in point 8.1 of Windows (see below). Now, it will solve the problem of the tip of pen jump away from the position of the real pencil.

    Flashcc2015solution.jpg

Third... Here's my problem. The Wacom Cintiq Companion 2 HD display is 2560 x 1440. The default setting for Windows 8 for this tablet has a text value scaling of 175%. The high screen resolution allows more work space real estate within Flash and windows of text scaling allows me to be able to read words and see the icons without forcing (because the actual size of the screen itself is relatively low compared to its resolution capabilities). After this "difficulty", so actually nothing appears on the screen, I need to lower the resolution of the tablet to the most 1920 x 1080 (meaning with scaling to 100%, yet the text is quite small, but it's a compromise to keep some of these program workspace real estate mentioned previously).

I was encouraged to do this post, so it could be a quick response to the immediate symptom of the brush jumping bug, leaving people less able to do their work without a break and ALSO so that we can go beyond to know if there is a more permanent solution to the problem. NOTE: Photoshop works like a dream. This is only a Flash issue (for me).

Finally, here are some details of troubleshooting, I already went through that does nothing to solve the underlying problem:

    -all drivers have been updated

-the most recent version of Flash has been downloaded

-Flash has been uninstalled (properties of withdrawal) and reinstalled

Wacom - driver has been uninstalled and reinstalled

Wacom user properties - were removed and re-configured

-Ink Windows has been disabled (which disables the pressure sensitivity) and recontroler

-Press- and - hold right-click has been disabled in Windows Tablet properties

-Shortcuts have been disabled in Windows Tablet properties

... There is more (like resetting windows at the factory and the resettlement without updating the drivers) also has nothing, but these are the most relevant elements. I was told that Adobe was aware of the problem and that it would be resolved. My goal is to discover a possible ETA on this difficulty and how it might come on (updated internal Flash? Layout workaround in Windows?) ... or, better yet, if it already exists! Like many people, Flash is the main program I use for work and I travel a lot (where the Wacom Cintiq purchase additional 2). This is a bug quite important that I would like to see resolved, if there is not yet, or answered here so she a. thanks team!

    UPDATE for WINDOWS 10

To recap: I mentioned in the original post I made above that the bug Flash jump at the heart of this message seems to be caused by a scaling function in Windows. This feature exists because of situations like mine where I own a portable tablet (Wacom Cintiq Companion 2) with a physical screen size relatively small, but the high resolution capability. High resolution is good because computing means that signs Flash will take up less screen real estate, allowing more space for work/workshop space. However, high resolution on a small screen also means that things like icons and the text of the window are very small and difficult to read. That's what the functionality of scaling in Windows has compensation for... but it also caused a problem with the brush (see images/posts earlier).

(Apparently) there is a new feature in Windows 10 which allows you to increase the TEXT size without scaling of all the features of display (such as icons).

    * Now I'm able to put my small screen of the actual size of a high-resolution AND can't read the text in things like menus and icons without the jump bug.* *.

I hope this helps some of you out there with this similar problem. Remember, no matter what you do... Make sure that the scale is set to "Smaller - 100%" as I did in the original post. Happy drawing!

  • Creating a character from scratch in Photoshop - can not move arms/legs separately in character animator?

For the first time creating a character from scratch in Photoshop, and I can't do the arms and legs move separately from the body. When I click on one arm and drag, whole body stretches with her. I already copied the structure of exact file of the buddy "photoshop" model, but always without success. The face works fine, I can do blink and make the movements of the mouth. It's just the body with that I have problems. Any thoughts? Here is a screenshot of my layers in Photoshop and below is a screenshot of the puppet character animator properties.

    Screen Shot 2016-04-06 at 12.33.53 PM.png

    Screen Shot 2016-04-06 at 12.36.44 PM.png

Usually, it's because it's think mistakenly that the arms and body are interconnected like a mesh somehow. Try clicking on 'Show the mesh' in the toolbar at the bottom, and then select the layers - the triangles overlap only in the art of character, or white spots? If it's over white spots, as well as between the body and the arm, so you can check and delete / erase any trace of problem.

Another thing to try is in the right panel under properties of the puppet, try to set the Mesh outline instead of Auto shape. It's another way to look at the stitch which sometimes does not take into account such issues.

    Hello

You can upgrade up to 4 GB of RAM.

256 MB DDR2 Synchronous DRAM (SDRAM) at 533 MHz and 667 MHz, expandable to 4.0 GB

Check page 1-3 of the link for more information below

  • RAM Max size Possible

    Hello

What is the maximum size of RAM including a HP 15 notebook - d107TX be updated?

    Sanjay

I found this info on THIS PAGE about the HP 15-d107TX

HP 15-d107TX (G8D80PA) is with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i3 of the fourth generation processor-based HM86 Express chipset. He is assisted by a standard 4GB DDR3 RAM that runs to 1,600 MHz and is also expandable up to 16 GB via two ports SODIMM.

  • SUGGESTED FOR 4 GB OF RAM FILE SIZE

Hi guys I want to know what size of page file is recommended for a 4 GB of RAM. coz im in game and my pc is about 5 years and I just want to know if there is such a thing on a size of page file recommended RAM of 4 GB.
    I have a:

When you have your C partition on a classic fixed hard disk (disk other than a solid state drive) and you use a managed Windows file, it creates a situation where fragmentation happens faster. The swap file gets scattered all over the disk. If the fragments of files between the scattered pieces of the file are removed the next file to write, if it is of any size, is immediately in a fragmented state. This is because the available disk space is fragmented. A Defrag tool using third party like Defraggler you can defragment the disk.

  • Question about full discs scratch in Photoshop CC

What can I make mistake "scratch disks" in Photoshop?  Program does not open.  I have eliminated programs already on my hard drive, and I got appx 396 GB of free memory on a 1 to.  I can't change the preferences because the program does not open.

  • Tasks really weird when you insert photoshop files in my indesign document

    Dear Indesigners

I had encountered this problem before. Then I exported the file in JPEG format and print from there on.

But now he really mind what adobe does.

I'm creating a birthcard. There, I designed the background (in indesign with lines simple and circles). Photo with Ribbon that I designed in photoshop. Circle around the image model is also in Indesign.

When I print this file from indesign, I have really weird stains on my part of Photoshop document.  You can check it in the attachment.

If I export and print it from there, the tasks are nowhere to be seen.

Is this some weird setting that I looked over? The Photoshop document is in CMYK format.

    It is the export file:

    Design front - export.jpg

This is the file scanned, print (increased contrast)

    Design front - scan.jpg

  • RAM / Scratch

As someone else has pointed out in a recent post there seems to be some uncertainty (at least for me) as agglomerates PS needs a disc scratch if there is a lot of RAM.  I'm about to build a new computer and ask yourself the following:

    (1) I work with files up to 1 to 1.5 MB and I have 12 MB of RAM, I am likely to see much difference in performance if the drive working (on a separate PS/OS drive) is a 7200 RPM drive vs a VelociRaptor 10000 RPM?

    (2) other than the slightly faster speed that opens the PS I am likely to see much difference in performance if the OS/S disc is a 1000 RPM vs 7200 RPM?

    (3) it is going to be any difference in performance if the file I'm trying is located on the PS/OS disk vs a separate drive? Is it suboptimal to place the file being developed on the same drive as the drive working if the scratch is a disc full of BONE and the pagefile?

    Thank you.

    Howard

    (1) Yes, slightly

    (2) Yes, slightly

    (3) separate disk for scratch PS is optimal for performance.

  • Weird acting text size: s

Well, I have problems with my text size in photoshop...

18pt text is huge... far too great for an 18 pt text...

But if I 1.8 pt, the text becomes as a text 18 pt (as it should be done)

    so here's an example:

18 pt <-pt 36 (but that's what it looks like in photoshop: s)

1.8 pt <-it is in fact 18 pt

can someone help me with this problem?

No, it isn't, the point 1 is 1/72 inch with a resolution of 72 DPI (pixels per inch), 1 point is equal to 1 pixel. However, if your image is at 300 PPI 1 point is equal to 300/72 = 4.16 pixels.

  • Scratch brush Photoshop CS6 problem

As you can see in the video above, I have a problem where the brush streaks all the way through to my document when I used the Brush tool. This only happens if I drag the brush. I can click and make the fixed lines, but when I drag the brush the streak appears. It was beyond frustrating. I googled the hell out of this issue, and I came up with absolutely nothing.

Any help or Assistant would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Try right clicking on the tool in the tool options bar, and then click Reset all tools.  If the do not correct the problem, try resetting your Photoshop preferences.

CS6 is very buggy if all CS6 updates are not installed.  You should be one of these levels. Perpetual CS6 Mac 13.0.6, Windows 13.0.1.3 or subscription CS6 version 13.1.2.

  • Weird image damaged in Photoshop

Appears only in photoshop CC. What why and how get rid of?

When it appears the 1st time that I had to the CC of Photoshop is closed, open it again and start working, but after awhile, it again.

    Screen Shot 2015-08-24 at 20.12.17.png

Try to uncheck the box in the preferences > performance > graphics processor use, then by restarting Photoshop. If this solves the problem, check with the manufacturer about a possible update.

  • layer of scale current canvas size Photoshop

I've been googling and reading, but I was not able to find an action or method to select a layer, and they scale to the size of the canvas? This seems to be something that should be built in?

Anyone know of a script or action that I can use?

Sometimes, it must be able to evolve upwards or downwards.

And I don't need to keep the proportions. The scale just to fill.

    Thanks for your help

    Maxi

PS: I know Russell Brown paper Texture extension, charged layers are scale to fit the canvas.

What is your units of the rule? I only get the error in CS6 if the rule per cent. If your rule is set to % I can add code to the script will correct the error.
