Classic classic BlackBerry established and photo transfer

I couldn't set up my e-mail account on my new classic - what I have to share my new SIM card first?  And although my contacts transferred to my Bold 9900 by Blackberry link, my pictures have not.  What is the best way to transfer images from a Bold 9900 at a new classic?

Thank you for your answers to my two questions.  My mail server is IMAP and requires advanced configuration and validation which, appears, cannot be done online.  And Blackberry link does not appear to allow me to copy images from the camera to my Bold 9900 at my classic.  If tomorrow I will be going to my ISP about my e-mail account and will copy my images from the camera to my computer and then on my computer to my classic.  Thanks for your help.

  • Smartphones Geotags blackBerry, GPS and photos

I found that some of my pictures from the camera are geotagged and this caused problems with sending photos. Unable to send a photo geotagged with BBM, email or normal picture messaging. Curiously, Whatsapp works OK. I uninstalled Google Maps (still have BB Maps) and turned off GPS location services. I can't find a way to turn off geotagging of photos without turning off the GPS. If GPS services is active, it can interfere with the camera because he won't take the shot until the GPS has had a difficult situation. Seems to be OK without GPS for now. What do you think?

I'm running a Bold 9780 with OS 6.0.0.294 with the latest app world and BBM.

    Hi BryanR

On the 9780 I, how to disable the geolocation is in camera mode.

At the bottom of the screen, you'll (left to right) the following:

    Your photos

    Geotagging

    Take photo

    Flash game

    Plug type of

    (Roughly)

On the second icon for geotagging to turn it off, the image should be a goal only.   If getoagging is enabled, then it will look like a red balloon.  Simply press this icon until you get the target. (not the target with the waves as it is turn on geotagging).

You shouldn't have a problem with the geolocation in the future.

Although according to the configuration of your phone, and the permissions you gave to Google Maps, which can also be using geolocation by default so check your permissions on this.

I can't understand why you can't email geotagged files even if, as I have no problem with my BB.

    I hope this helps.

  • Classic BlackBerry Verizon Wireless with the new classic of B.

I am a Verizon Wireless customer for more than 25 years. Also, I'm a Blackberry user for the same time.  I've been dying to get new Balckberry classic, however, told me that Verizon does not her due to a type of different network transmission or something like that. This, it is not compatible with their network.

I'm very, very sorry to hear that. My question is, ' you'll never make a b. classic that will be compatible with Verizon's network.  If so, when will it be available?

    Please notify earlier.

    Thank you.

  • Transfer photos classic blackBerry

How can I transfer photos from my classic BlackBerry I had in my computer before I bought the smartphone?

Ok. You can use the link to BlackBerry on your PC to transfer and synchronize the photos later.

For now, I just connect the BlackBerry to your PC and drag and drop photos from your card.

  • The classics all contacts blackBerry, Journal and msgs not passed the classic Bold 9780 Blackberry using the link

    Dear all,

I just got my classic Blackberry an upgarde to my Bold 9780. The first thing I did was to transfer all my call logs, text messages and contacts at classic BB using the BB link. I followed all the steps and complete the process.

Unfortunately, all contacts, text in waiting and call logs have not been transferred to my classic BB.

When BB link asks to connect my old Bold 9780 it creats a back to the top folder of request to connect the classic BB and transfers the backup file of the Bold 9780. End of no use as always all my contacts. At the end of the binding process attention msg appears * contacts, messages, and newspapers is poster in a feww minutes, IE it will take time to appear

Its almost 24 hours and all contacts have not appeared in the classic BB contact application.

I ask you all if any body can bring me a solution

    Thank you

Falak, you can disable this merger now in the settings of your contact.

  • Questions classic blackBerry Blackberry Classic compared to the features and functions of the Bold 9900

I am extremely satisfied with the functionality of my Blackberry Bold 9900 and yet I am fun the idea of upgrading to a classic Blackberry and had a few questions, some of them functional, but one of them is technical:

    (1) I have granularily configured different contacts to the ring through "silent" while some people may sound through if I'm having a NAP or sleep. The classic allows you granularily configure the option of 'ring through' on a manually configured silent mode?

    (2) can the classic surely go to sleep and wake up one day of week / weekend schedule? My current phone doesn't sleep at midnight and wake up at 06:00 every night of the week and 02:00 to 09:00 on weekends.

    (3) back in the day of Blackberry older had a view "of today" where you could see the incoming email and tasks on the main screen. I couldn't get that with my Bold 9900, but I found this interesting app called BePopup which jumps to the top of my texts and emails on the screen as they come, without touching a button. Can you get automatically posted emails or texts with that with the classic?

    (4) the Blackberry plan I have with my provider uses the platform communications for my Blackberry RIM and so my e-mails are immediate, arriving minutes always quicker than other CC (iPhone and Android users) distribution lists. That being said, is the new classic uses what platform these other phones use for messaging connectivity?

Any feedback regarding these essential functions would be greatly appreciated as it will help me in my decision. I am very happy with my 9900 and have little reason to upgrade... unless all of these options are available.

1.) Yes, you can see: http://docs.blackberry.com/en/smartphone_users/deliverables/67769/alc1334332742901.jsp

2.) I don't think that this feaure is available, I'm not quite sure

(3.) I'm not familiar with the view "today." To develop?

Yes 4). 10 blackBerry smartphones requires more BIS data plan. Given regular or WiFi will work.

  • BlackBerry classic to synchronize Contacts and calendar on 3 devices (BlackBerry Classic, PRO Surface and a laptop)

    Hello

I have a classic BlackBerry. I try to sync my contacts and Calendar Details on 3 devices, my BB, Surface PRO and my laptop using the Link BlackBerry software. I use Microsoft Outlook on my laptop and the Surface where I synchronize from. When I connect my BB to my laptop, can I synchronize all the contacts created on my BB for the laptop and the contacts created on the laptop for my BB, even with the calendar, calendar events created on the BB will be synchronized on the laptop and vice versa. When I connect my BB to my Surface, I can do the same thing there, sync contacts & calendar events created on the SURFACE Pro for the BB and vice versa.

What I'm looking for, it's that all contacts & calendar events created on my Pro SURFACE which have been synchronized on my BB must also be synchronized on my laptop when I connect my BB to my laptop and vice versa, as any event or the contacts created on my laptop that have been synchronized on my BB must then be synchronized on the Surface PRO Microsoft Outlook. So I try to reach that 3 of all devices must have the same calendar and contacts whenever I connect my BB device (Surface & laptop) to synchronize with the BB link.

I would appreciate a response from anyone.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

Rather than captive link, I recommend you go to OTA sync... see:

Using this method, I have my email, calendar and contacts sync all 3 SmartPhones BB, 1 BB PlayBook, 1 Windows/Outlook2013 system, and a MAC (although, by introducing the MAC and it's limits, I had to implement a hybrid solution... email from HotMail, but the calendar/contacts via Google). I don't know any way to do what you want to link (and it would be more instant OTA anyway and let it do everything remotely rather than purely local).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Blackberry classic flashing on and outside

My classic is flashing on for 7 seconds in the classic title Blackberry screen, then off for 7 seconds.  It will not turn off little matter how long I hold the power button.  I tried several combinations of buttons for a few seconds and nothing will stop it flashing on and off in 7 seconds.

Just to be sure, I do the reset correctly, my classic Blackberry has a power button on the top.  In your instructions to reset, it says "press and hold the power button on top edge.  I go up and down volume buttons on the side with a little mute button in the middle.  Power on top.  Let me know if that makes sense.

  • BlackBerry App investigating the classic BlackBerry, T-Mobile and the WiFi calling app

I am looking for on this forum after being (possibly) achieved through BlackBerry World (located here, so you can make reference to what I'm going to talk: https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/35524900 ) this app is marked as 'BlackBerry Lmtd' being the developer, that's why it is implicit that BlackBerry updates to this app and is responsible for its support. I am at this point, after trying (for weeks) to find how this whole process of WiFi calling went down, I was told by T-Mobile at the level executive response that BlackBerry was next to insider support. In its current form the above application currently supports only prior 2 BB10 peripheral T-Mobile, the Q10 and Z10. Despite the classic hit the shelves of T-Mobile, despite the fact that T-Mobile as well as the TWO classic BlackBerry supports WiFi called, it seems to come down to this app gets an update. I write here wondering if there is information about the status of this application as well as the support with regard to devices. Will be it be updated to include the classic? Is this a known issue? Is this really T-Mobile app? Just anything, any kind of transparency or tiny tidbit of information be always so would appreciate! If anyone has information or can better direct me on where to take my survey, I am more than happy to wait for your answers! Thank you for your time.

That's the beauty of this site... we do not work for carriers, nor for the BB. So, we can be truly independent and share more that they would be allowed to share. But, keep in mind that everything we know is therefore not official (unless it is a public site, such as the database of BB KB). We are sure that we are right on these points, but being not "in it", we can't know with 100% certainty.

You're most welcome and good luck!

  • Security SIM screen classic blackBerry and autonomy

I love my classic Blackberry. But there is a problem. In my pocket the phone sometimes ends with the screen asking me to enter the SIM Pin code. The phone is usually leather Holster. The problem is, whenever I wear around the phone in my pocket, without recognizing that it is in this State "SIM-security screen", the phone consumes a lot of battery. In this State, the battery lasts just four hours.

Out of the case I was not able to reproduce the problem. I tried to do by pressing the keys at random.

Is there any configuration, I can do to avoid this?

    Best regards

    Ludvík

Interesting... maybe this KB is about:

The instructions may or may not correctly apply BB10, but maybe you can find the same result on your device.

    Good luck!

  • Files not supported classic blackBerry

I have inserted a 32 GB SD card in my classic Blackberry and settles all the multimedia files on it. After a few days I couldn't open my pictures and my videos from SD card. I got an error like "corrupt data". My default location for all photos taken by the camera is now the SD card. After a while I take pictures I do not see them, only the thumbnails.

I get the error "this file contains an unsupported media format" for some mp3 files. I have delete and copy again my OneDrive account and receive the same error. What is the problem? Please help me.

Could be a faulty SD card.

I suggest that you reformat the classic or the PC card.

  • Is there a Firefox application available for the classic Blackberry 2015 model?

I have a classic Blackberry. I was wondering if it is possible to obtain a browser Firefox on a classic Blackberry app to use rather than the stock browser?

    TThanks

The BackBerry operating system is like 10 BlackBerry and the BlackBerry Tablet OS older for PlayBook is based on QNX. Once long ago, you could build Firefox for QNX, but support for QNX has long been removed from the Mozilla source tree.

There has been no development of Mozilla mobile browser for any material or BlackBerry OS.

Mozilla Firefox has for mobile desktop Windows, Mac OSX, Linux and Firefox for Android 2.3 +. There is also the "BONE of Firefox" used on say that some budget phones and some new Tv's Panasonic. They have also recently started with a shell for iOS 8.2 Firefox browser +.
