• I can't get updates since SP2 installation and update of the Windows Update Agent.

  I finally got it!  I tried two other proposed solutions, then I ran the System File Checker, which is no problem, then I ran Check Disk.  Check disk found and repaired files in the file system of BITS among others.  After that, I'm now completely up to date with Windows Update.  I was ready to give up.  I'm glad I did not.  For anyone else having similar problems, don't give up, the answer is there.

  If I understand correctly, you get a runtime error. Common causes of errors include software issues, a computer virus, but also a memory problem. Please answer a few questions before you start troubleshooting.

  Since when re you facing the issue? Do you have any security program installed on the computer? Have you done a recent software or changes to the material on the computer?

  Here's a great article on errors. Here is another link to scan the computer for any infection that might be causing the problem.

  Note: there is a risk of data loss if all the files are infected and which can be removed in the cleaning process.

  You can also contact the software manufacturer for all versions updated.

  2. Save the file on your desktop zip and extract the file:
     -Right-click on the file and select extract all...

  5. A command prompt window should open a similar message:
