Clear out in a loop for

Hi guys,.

I have a problem, so I activate timed values on the outputs analog of my RedLab card.

The problem is that when I stop the program, the outputs are always activate.

How can I solve this problem?

Best regards from max

What version of LabVIEW?

I forgot which version he presented, but lately, you can add a CONDITIONAL TERMINAL to a loop FOR.

Use it to stop the loop if the user clicks a button or if the voltage exceeds 3.14159 Volts, or whatever.

You can also use a basic while loop, set the AUTOMATIC indexing entries and compare yourself 'i' to N - 1, in the loop.

Stop BUTTON so STOP = TRUE or i = 3.14159 > N-1 or V...

  • clear the table of loop for

    Hello world

I have a question about the erasure of history to the table. It sounds simple, but I'm really confused...

As the example attached below, I've built a table within a while loop and a loop. After totally run the program once, when I run it a second time, it seems that the table has a memory of the last time, that is the size of table does not start from 0, and appears the old number from last time, even through its initialization of the for loop.

How can I make it go empty each time when I restart the table?

Need your help. Thank you very much. : )

You must also have a shift in the loop FOR. This will keep the data for the duration of the program, but it clear at the beginning of the next run.

  • Problem on the out of the loop For of Cluster

    Hello!  I'm using Labview 2009.

I have a problem in the transmission of the indexed number of a loop through function array-cluster to a cluster. Please check my attachment... The problem is, he always says the number of items in the numbers indexed is 9, any number of loops, I input for loop.

This problem has been solved before? I could not find any related post here...

    Raymond

    Hey Vg,

You have to right click on your table to the cluster, goto 'Size of Cluster' function and select, in this case, 2.

While in have you really tried? It's the standard solution, and it works in all cases that I have heard (including mine). Just rename the file, and a new one is created on the next launch.

  • VI is jump a loop "For".

Zipped VI is fixed, the upper level has "7_AD-DC producer consumer" as the title.  You will have to dig into the folder for access.

I have attached a picture of the Vi, highlighted in red is the loop in question.

The problem I have is that when I run the vi has the range of 0.25 to 0.5 Volt (chosen in the loop of producer not shown), it works fine, but if I run the vi put on the beach of 1 volt, it ignores all highlight loop, and finishes just the event.

The program aims to help the particular device calibration.  If you follow the path of the error, it crosses the upper part (1605, 1605 mode range, range of AC - DC, the factor N, etc.) all the way through the indicators for "1 k reference in ' and ' 1 k reference on.  The program runs right up through these measures of reference, but when it is in range Volt 1 (shown in the picture) it ignores the entire for loop.  I son of error in all, and I thought that those who would prevent race conditions and they would oblige the Vi to run as expected, but apparently not.

It's kinda a Vi spaghetti, I'm not the best with LabView, but it seems so strange to me that it works when the value 1/2 a volt but don't not 1 volt value.  I put the indicators on the elements that fuel the loop For, the number of frequencies and the tables of frequencies look good and I can't really think what causes violence to ignore the loop for.

The for loop is not in 'jumps' it of executing 0 times and out of default data for all tunnels.

You have an entrance tunnel auto-indexé why wire terminal N at all? The loop will be the least number of iterations it can.  N times, either the smaller auto-indexd table is something less.

EVEN worse: the indexed table auto comes from a tunnel exit case structure value "Use default if unwired" so you have two options.  There is a hidden code clear the Board before being sent out of the cases showed, OR the value of the number of frequencies is<>

  • Create a table in a loop 'for' (reset the number of loops)

    Hello

I try to incorporate a signal of acceleration from an analog input CRIO to get speed and then further integrate to get the moving of a vibration system.

I understand that to achieve integration, a table must be fed in. My problem is that I could not buffer the signal in a buffer block, as I couldn't find buffer blocks. so I decided to create my data table by using a loop "for". The nests of the loop 'for' inside a timed loop. The problem that I'm stuck on is how to reset the loop 'for' in order to fill the buffer with each iteration of the outer loop timed.

I enclose the code if that helps. Note that I use labview in 2013.

If anyone who has encountered a similar problem before can help me, I would be gratefull.

    Concerning

    Ali

You can use a shift register initialized as inputs to your curls, to build your table of one. However, you realize, don't you, that the execution of your program as written loops as soon as the computer can spit out responses, then the output array may contain several points that took place before the entry has updated? Assuming that your thing cRIO (I've not worked with these) has integrated into its routine acquisition of calendar data, I suggest you put that inside the loop to get a data point by reading.

And do you really want your graph to distance for update only every thousand points (points of acceleration million) speed?

  • How to select the first item in an array in a loop FOR

    Hello.

    I use Labview 8.5

In my application, I have a loop 'for' where I read some values from a device. (strings and digital)

As you know Labview 'stores' values up to what the loop 'for' is completed, and then they come out in a table.

    Ok.

I want to just use the first element for strings and digital and then do something with it, like to compare (for digital)

For strings, I used successfully 'Split 1 D Array' and choose 'everything first subarray'. Good.

Now for digital that works too, but the result is an element, array type too. I need to be digital (decimal) is not no table type, because I need to compare (greater than 0). Then use a case...

So, table of an element in a digital decimal? Or the table at the first decimal element. How?

I tried also with the subset of the table. Even think. Labview won't let me compare a table 1 d with 0. It makes sense, but how to convert, to have the first decimal element?

Try to use the 'Index Array' function. If you do not connect to the terminal of the index value, it will return the first elelemnt in the table. If wire you an index, it will return the value specified.

  • How to export a value of a loop for?

    Hello

I have a loop and a few other loops running at the same time. The loop is used to read the values of a PMT connected to a data acquisition. I need to export the value of the loop counter in order to to use in a case statement, which takes place outside of the loop. I tried the defintion it out of the loop, using automatic indexing (which exports an array containing all the values of the counter stacked from what I understand) or without automatic indexing, which as I understand it only exports the current value of the loop. But these two were not working, I tried for example to print the value of the counter on an indication on the map and it was like no matter what. On the contrary, when I put an indicator inside the loop it was printing the value of the counter normally. Do you have tips on how I could do or why is - it does not work? I also checked records the shift but it does not resemble their use is appropriate for my problem.

    Thank you

If you do a search (at least in LabVIEW 8.6.1) under "Help", "search for the help of LabVIEW" 'producer' you will find discussions on what you're trying to do. "Under the 'Fisland ', 'New" pulldowns, should also, under 'Frameworks' "Design Patterns" there are called examples ' Producer/consumer' will open a model in different ways to do what you are trying. As being the previous poster said, while that globals are not inherently bad, their use comes with certain risks. There has been a number of discussions on that (and the people who can provide one, so like, 'local' risk). Without going too deeply into it, the main concern is to know when the data is read from them are valid/updated compared to when it is written.

  • Output graphics of two loops for

I would like to see a graph of the output generated in both loops for.

    X: steps (i x I have two loops)

Y: Y1 should graph the polar output

Y2 should chart the Azimuthal output

Probably very simple to resolve/upgrade in place.  (The output file works fine).

    Thank you

    Kevin

    Good work Kevin.

I have some suggestions for you (I don't know what it will be eventually, because then maybe they're based):

    • If the data do not change over time, you can use a graphic instead of a graph; Whatever it is, reduce the necessary processing power by updating the two parcels only once for a full run of the outside loop (see below)
    • You have a lot of indicators that are not obviously necessary (they simply out what puts out control - off 4;) Stop 5; Polar; Azimuthal, etc.).  When you submit here, the code is more it is easy to understand and faster you get an answer (minimal document also helps understand us what all is for).
    • Use the decrement vi but don't take it off 1 (reduced the increase in code).
    • Avoid strain - explicitly cast I32 to double so that no appeal should be made to the Manager of memory running (will reduce your footprint of memory of codes).
    • Written file are intensive and bays of building CU generally allocate dynamically memory - try to avoid these as much as possible.  In your VI, you can write to the file once when all iterations are complete.  This will reduce the runtime of the VI.

Anyway, there are a whole bunch of thoughts that you probably care to hear, but I hope they have been helpful.

    Cheers, Matt

    Himanshu salvation,

To start reading your matrix of the second line, you can use a table of Index function once you have loaded the table of your spreadsheet file. The function Array Index lie in the range of functions under functions > programming > Board Index. The help of LabView is very useful to explain how to use this function.

With regard to the accuracy of the numbers when read you the spreadsheet file that you read is formatted in fractional chain, since form you it converted into a mixed string before saving. In order to recover all the precision, read the worksheet as a string and then convert it to a string using a string Fract/Exp to fractional numbers conversion function. This feature is on the range of functions for String > String/Number Conversion > Fract/Exp string in number. The help of LabView is also very useful for explaining the operation of this function.

  • How to save a graph after each iteration in a loop for?

    Hello

I wrote the code that initializes a spectrometer. Once initialized, if the "Capture" button is pressed, the spectrometer takes a new spectrum three times (see loop for) every second. This spectrum is shown as a diagram in my front. My code works fine... it will update the spectrum every second.

However, I would like to be able to record each of these three iterations in the form of separate graph. Basically I want to click on "Capture" and have my code to save three graphics to a specified folder. How can I do this?

    I have attached my VI.

    Thank you.

Probably the easiest is to take the data of the for loop and pass out in a tunnel that is indexed.  Manipulate the resulting data table you want.  You could also do a producer/consumer and write files as the data comes out.

  • You can trigger through communication Modbus TCP/IP PLC data acquisition without using a loop for?

    Hello

I am trying to contact a facility through a Modbus TCP/IP communication PLC. I'm new to this method, but the idea is that the installation will send the logical (Boolean) values 1 bit by ethernet to my workstation which read and then will begin data acquisition. Basically, I need a triger to come to my pc. I placed my vi inside a structure case T/F which will run according to the signal, it receives data acquisition. However, for it constantly waiting, I put this in a loop for. The works of vi, but playback signals sometimes lagging behind due to the loop for. If I take the loop out and just run labview permanently, it works perfectly, but I know that the option is only for debugging and should not be used. So my question is, is there a better way to wait for an incoming signal?

    Hello!

Please note that the order of execution of the write operations on the shared variable 000002 is not determined.

For example, nothing prevents this order of execution:

    (1) value false 000002

    (2) set to true 000002

    (3) execution of the loop

In what concerns the delay, you might consider placing a waiting vi in the case of 'false', or the loop uses 100% of CPU if I'm not mistaken...

    Kind regards

  • Table of path error 1430 in the loop for

    Hello!

I have a problem with the 1430 error: path is empty or relative, which seems impossible. The thing is that I have a battery of indicators of path connected to the loop for (check the .jpg and there is no problem with writing to a file by using the paths of an array with the first and last index.) Others are not saved because of the error... to be honest, that all data paths are absolute. Record in the file of the idicator path is the work of a Subvi (merge data vi) but it is in a for loop because I need to make it available to multiple files. There is no error that occur with the work of Subvi to a path. The question is: what labview makes with the paths saved in a table between the loops? I have just run out of ideas so if someone had some time, I would really appreciate for all the tips and ideas.

    K.

    Hello again,

If someone was interested in the happy ending: the solution is: 2 loops for. I think there must be something with the way that labview sends data between iterations. In any case - don't know how much exactly but works

  • How to stop and start a loop for

I got the code and a loop running in a while loop.  What I need to do, is simply to suspend the processing of the loop until a condition is met, but retains its position of iteration throughout each pause time (not necessarily time, just paused until the following condition is met).  I tried wiring of a Boolean value to "continue if true" terminal of the for loop, but the reboot of the iteration count to 0 when the loop is restarted.  Is there a way to stop the loop for and continue to the particular iteration, it is in?

Breakpoints, conditional, or normal are intended just for debugging your code.  I had the sense of your question as you want make a break is part of the normal operation of your code.  I would NOT recommend using a breakpoint for this situation.  It would make it appear the diagram showing the breakpoint when it occurs.  A user not to mention that the programmer wouldn't know what to do in this case.

Yes, both the inner and outer loops would shift registers.

Implementation of a structure dealing with a small loop inside the "case of a break" is feasible.  Depends on what you are or wait while the operation of the program is "paused."
