Click on playback of music files on MS Media Player

When I play the music files on Media Player I hear clicks that are not there when I listen to the same files on my MP3 player. It happens to downloaded files and cds ripped to Media Player. This began to happen in the last 6 months or so - it used to be very good. Can I do to solve this problem?

  • How can I access my music files through Windows Media Player?

    OK, here's the facts:
    I have Windows Vista.
Most of my music in my music is missing.
I can view and listen to the music of "missing" in Windows Media Player (library).
In Windows Media player, if I click on a song and 'open file location' need me for my music, and the file is not there.
Looking for songs via the start menu or through my computer does not work.
MP3 audio files are also missing.

Not having access to the original files, I can't add music files individually to my mp3 (Windows Media Player lets you synchronize files only, and I don't want to lose a part of the 'missing' files I have on my mp3 using the Sync feature).

How can I access my music? Clearly, it is still on my computer somewhere since I can play through Windows Media Player.

    Hello

Step 1: Check what all records are controlled by the player. Then check these records, if the music file is present.

  • How can I print a list of all my music files in Windows Media Player 11?

I use windows vista home premium service pack 2.  I tried to download exporter of news media (mpexp.dll) and I get a message saying that I need to be logged on as administrator to perform this operation, however, I am logged on as administrator.  In addition, I can't download the pleasures of winter to windows media player 9 series pack 2003.

    Hello greenheron,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers Forum!

You can try export playlist of media information by an application word by following the steps in the link below:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/KnowledgeCenter/HOWTO/mediainfoexp.aspx

We inform you that you will install Media exporter info. This exporter is basically designed for Media Player 9 and would work for Media player 11.

The process is a little different:

Follow this workaround solution to install the exporter of media:

Step 1 - Download and install Media exporter Info

You can try to run the program in compatibility mode for Windows XP.

Make older programs in this version of Windows

    http://windowshelp.Microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/help/bf416877-c83f-4476-a3da-8ec98dcf5f101033.mspx

Step 2 - use of the exporter to export of information media

Open Windows Media Player.  A small Media exporter Info window must already be open.  If not, you can open it manually: on the Tools menu, go to plugins and choose the exporter of News Media.  If you do not see the Tools menu initially, just right click somewhere on the blue bar dark near the top of your window of WMP.

    1. Click Properties to select where the file is saved and what application to load it in.  Will the file be formatted differently depending on the application you choose, but Excel is the best option if you want to clean it to show only the artist/album names (see below).
    2. Click Export.   The file will be exported, but it will contain much more than just artist names and album information.  The next step shows how to clean it.

Step 3 (optional) - clean the list exported in Excel

    1. Delete all columns except for artist and Album (columns B and C) by default.
    2. Select the two remaining columns.
    3. In the tab menu or data, choose the function remove duplicates.
    4. Check the my data has headers check box, and then click OK.
    5. That's all.  Now you should have a clean list of albums as well as the names of their artists.  You can print this list directly or export it to Word and format more far away to make it prettier.

You can also try running the program as administrator.

To run a program as an administrator, follow these steps:

    1. right click on the icon that you use to run the program and then click run as administrator.

2 when you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or click continue.

Try this and get back to us if it does not work.

  • Organize music files in Windows Media Player after extraction.

Whenever I ripped a cd with Windows Media Player, all the titles of the songs are all in the right order and therefore not in the right order, why? I use Windows Media Player after all to get the missing information from the album. So why do this?

Track one becomes track 2 and 5 becomes 7 then what happens? And I tried to edit myself as well but every time I click Update album info it just messes up amel!

Actually, it's funny how it never used to do that before.

    Hi haslam,.

When you rip (copy) the tracks on a CD, Windows Media Player attempts to identify songs on the CD by connecting to Internet and search of the database of Windows Media, which is run by Microsoft. In most cases, the player is able to retrieve information of media of the database online and then add the information to the files Windows Media Audio (WMA) or MP3 which are created during the ripping process.

Check the settings of the library in windows media player. Steps to follow:

    a. open Windows media player

  • Problem with Media Player, Itunes, Spotify, etc., playback of music files.

Windows Media Player, the new app music, Spotify... I even downloaded iTunes to try. NOTHING played music files. Windows Media Player just showed a red "x" next to any file was attempted. ITunes, Spotify and others just simply never begin when you click on play. The game starts and stops with no movement of the cursor or time.

The audio was working with some programs. Like Windows Live Movie Maker, when I imported a music file to a video, it plays very well. All the sounds of the OS worked fine. Internet audio everything worked fine. Yet, none of the standard programs music would play all files. Nothing seemed to work.

It was the audio drivers all the time! I never had no driver works partially, with some programs and not others, like this before.

    Anyone else having this problem?

However, I was able to reinstall the drivers to operate.

    Hello

    1. facing this problem with the .asx format?
    2. you remember to make changes to the system?
    3. where is the file?

Error message: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is not supported. If you typed a URL in the open URL dialog box, try using a different transport protocol (for example, "http:" or "rtsp:"). »
Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is not supported by the player or not supported by the server.
If you encountered this error by clicking a link on a Web page, the link isn't valid.
If you encountered this error by typing a URL in the open URL dialog, try opening the file using a different transport protocol (for example, "http:" or "rtsp:").
The following is a list of protocols supported by the player and the correct URL syntax examples:

    (a) MMS://serveur/nom_fichier (for example, a file with a .wma, .wmv, .asf, or .mp3 extension)
    (b) http://server/filename
    (c) rtsp://server/filename
    (d) mms://server/sami.asf? SAMI = http://server/sami/sami_demo.smi (SAMI file)
If the Player supports the protocol you used in the URL and you can't always read the content, check that the drive is configured to use all of its supported protocols.

    To configure the protocol settings
    (a) in the Player Windows Media, on the Tools menu, click Options.
    (b) in the Options dialog box, on the tab of network in the Streaming protocols area, select all the checkboxes (Multicast, UDP, TCP, and HTTP) Protocol, so that a check mark appears in each.
    (c) note that the supported protocols can be used only to distribute digital media files. Windows Media Player cannot be used as a browser.
If the fixes above don't work, you can rename the folder of information network for the drive so that it can rebuild its information network files after restarting it.

To rename the folder of information networking of player.
