Client VPN vs VPN 3005 concentrator using the Dial - up Internet GPRS connection

Hello!

I'm in trouble by using the GPRS Internet connection. I installed a VPN Client to connect to our VPN 3005 and it works fine but only using a V.90 Internet Dial-up regular connection. When I use GPRS I have access to the Internet, my VPN Client to connect successfully to the VPN3005, but I get no access to the Remote LAN (not even the ping test!). Can the overhead of 3DES cause something to do with this topic?

Kind regards

Russ

I also activated the udp encapsulation mode, however I notice that the success rate for the vpn full implementation of IKE (complete Exchange of keys and connection) is only abt 50% of no. some trys. I wonder if you have such an experience... Not sure it's because of the latency in GPRS.

  • Why FF uses the IE temporary Internet files directory?

I used Firefox exclusively as my browser for the last 6 months. Recently, I checked my "Temporary Internet Files" folder, where IE stores the pages visited and found complete and up-to-date, even if I had deleted everything that it when I started using FF. Why Firefox stores data here? Please note: on my computer, I have implemented the 'Temporary Internet Files' as folder hidden IE... IT IS NOT THE FF CACHE FOLDER. Thanks for any help.

If you visit a Web site that uses MS plugins like Windows Media Player or Silverlight then these plugins will use the cache (temporary Internet files) Windows than IE also uses.

  • My ear clicks the mute button when you use the Dialer

When the phone calls the Dialer should go black to keep from hitting the keys while to the call. It does, but something is still happening. Don't know how I move but I often hit the mute button accidentally in the middle of calls. Probably from 6 to 10 times. Naturally, it's very frustrating because the other line usually hang up until I can turn on the sound. It would be useful to move the buttons to the bottom of the screen. Anyone have any ideas on how to set the sensitivity dialer and inventory button or use a dialer better?

I've had it happen a few times and made a point to press the power button to force it to a black screen as it appears no way to adjust the sensitivity dialer and/or inventory button. I'm doing this, after I connected to a call dialed or received. It seems to be more reliable and didn't turn back, when on a call because I started to use this practice. It has a little now become second nature. Not the best answer but apparently a workaround if you prefer to use the Dialer.

    I hope this helps!

  • Now, I am unable to use the Terminal Server service to connect to one of my Windows XP machines.

    Hello

I used the Terminal Server service to connect to a remote Windows XP/Win 7 XP machine machines. At the beginning of this, it was beautiful, but after some time, say 1/2 hours, this remote XP computer has become inaccessible and even I couldn't use Teamviewer is there to connect! But when I went to this remote computer to XP, I noticed his connection was fine and I could ping www.google.com on it!

  • Use the client VPN tunnel to cross the LAN-to-LAN tunnel

I have been troubleshooting an issue and cannot cross an obstacle. The ASA is running ASA running 1,0000 code 24. I am using a client VPN tunnel to connect to the ASA. The ASA has already a LAN-to-LAN tunnel, set up and operating and I need the VPN client to access the remote site over the LAN-to-LAN tunnel.

The internal IP address of the local part is 192.168.0.0/24 and the IP address of the Remote LAN-to-LAN tunnel is 172.20.1.0/24. The clients are distributed 192.168.200.0/24 IPs. I have attached the relevant configuration for the SAA.

When the VPN client on the network, I can access resources on the ASA network internal. On the internal network of the SAA, users can access resources through the LAN-to-LAN tunnel. Client VPN cannot access resources on the LAN-to-LAN tunnel. For the latter, there are no hits on the C-TEST access list.

    Thank you for your help.

  • Cannot access Internet on VPN 3005 concentrator

I installed a new concentrator 3005. I am able to connect using the Cisco VPN client. Everything seems to work except the Internet. I am able to access everything in the local network, including local intranet Web pages. If I try to access Web pages on the outside, it does not. Any ideas?

OK, so it seems there is a configuration or a problem with routing somewhere. Concentrator vpn routing table look like? Is there a default route set correctly? You can use ping to ping the default gateway?

NAT is used? Is it possible the problem is that packages are not properly natted out to internet?

  • Client VPN is suspended in the secure communication channel

    Group,

I'm having a problem with VPN Client (Version 3.5.1) on a laptop computer from W2K connecting to a VPN 3005 dial hub. We have other laptops, connection successfully, however, I'm having one problem with the other two. The journal of VPN client has messages similar to the following:

    35 13:35:02.549 17/08/01 Sev = WARNING/3 IKE/0xE300006D

    May not match policy entry:

    local host = IP ADDR = 0.0.0.0, lcl_port = 0

Function initialize_qm failed with the error code of 0x00000000 (INSIDER: 825)

I have tried to delete the internal NIC on the portable, manually remove and reinstall the VPN client several times, remove and add TCP.

I think that my problem to be on the laptop itself, due to the fact that I have other laptops connect via VPN with similar software and the installation program.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thank you in advance, Greg

Yes, it is a problem on the client itself. It is one of the most frequent bugs around, and unfortuantely a fix is not too easy. We used to have to think about re - install Windows as the only solution, that most of the customers were not too happy to hear. We have since found a better procedure, although it is manual.

Read the notes for this bug CSCdv23894bug. Notes can be found at http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Bugtool/launch_bugtool.pl

  • Client VPN access router to the Internet through the same router! How?

    Hi all

I already setup VPN users connect to our router 1841 and corporate network. Use Cisco VPN Client and connection ends on the interface Dialer1 in 1841. This interface is also our ADSL Internet connection.

I need the VPN users out to the Internet via this VPN connection (it is through this Dialer1), rather than use the split tunneling and Internet browsing from their Local Internet service providers.

Of course, this Dialer1 is also 'nat outside' and FastEthernet is LAN and "nat inside '.

So I'll need NAT these VPN-pool addresses to address IP Dialer1. But what would be 'nat inside' in this case...

    Can anyone help?

a loopback interface must be configured to "nat inside '.

    for example

    Loopback int 1

    IP 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.0

    No tap

    IP nat inside

    access-list 199 refuse ip<1841 private="" net=""><1841 private="" net="" mask="">

    access-list 199 ip allow a

    allowed policy-road route map 10

    corresponds to the IP 199

    set ip next-hop 1.1.1.2

    interface Dialer0

  • How to avoid using the library native ttJdbcCS when connecting to remote host?

I'm testing the Java program with the product that limits the use of native libraries.
I use the 'client' mode to connect to TimesTen DB (which is done by using the plug, not the shared memory).

It seems that even in client mode TimesTen JDBC driver calls the library native ttJdbcCS when doing remote queries.
Why it does not use Java sockets? What is necessary for the native library?
Is it possible to eliminate the use of native libraries in client mode of the JDBC TimesTen driver somehow?

I fear that it is not possible to eliminate the use of native code for TimesTen libraries. Both direct drivers and customer are drivers of type 1 (JDBC/ODBC bridge). In both cases the JDBC driver Java code called NYI optimization library ttJdbc/ttJdbcCS and that the library in the direct or client ODBC driver (also called native code).

If you want to use TimesTen then you must be able to allow the use of these native code libraries. The only other alternative is to implement your own client/server mehcanism such that you can put your own component 'server' on the machine running TimesTen and then use pure Java to communicate with this component of the 'customer '. Generally, it is however a lot of work.

  • A Web site that I use States: this agency will support is no longer using the Protocol of internet security TLS 1.0 or 1.1 - how to change this with Firefox?

I use a site that now has the following statement:

Safety notice: as part of our ongoing efforts to improve security, this agency will be no longer support the use of the internet security TLS 1.0 protocol effective August 1. In addition, we will also stop the support for the Security Protocol Internet TLS 1.1 on 1 September. This means you must update your browser to use this site. For any questions about the update, please consult your browser provider.

    How do I change this?

Unless your Firefox settings have been changed, Firefox is ready for sites that use TLS 1.2, the latest version of the SSL protocol.

For example, if you click on the Green padlock on this site, so more information, the bottom of the Panel security in the Page Info dialog box should show that the page was encrypted using TLS 1.2. I have attached a screenshot showing where to find this information.

Can you confirm that this works?

  • Using the second ethernet port to connect to the printer?

Hi I have a Mac Pro 2.1 old school and I'm wondering if I can connect to the network with an ethernet port and connect the latter to a printer?

    If so, how?

    Yosemite running.

    Thank you

Physically, you use a port and a cable to connect to your network and use the second port and a second cable to connect directly to the printer. The printer must obviously have an interface Ethernet himself.

However, you need to configure the second port on the Mac and the Ethernet port on the printer for each manually configured the TCP/IP addresses and these should be in a range of different network to your main network.

If you the main network is something like 192.168.1.1 then your printer and the port on the Mac connection to this need to be in another network, such as 192.168.11.1.

In theory, if the printer supports Hello aka. mDNS, then maybe you can get away with not having to configure TCP/IP addresses for the connection.

The main reasons to use a second separate connection as this would be the performance or security, and frankly I don't think that's really relevant here. This would mean that no other computers on your network will be able to access the printer.

  • Firefox uses the page host internet explorer after restarting the PC, even if I change again, it passes every time

I use a laptop for my work. I have internet explore what is necessary for our things work related and internet intranet explore uses the intranet homepage of our work. I also use firefox and want to use a different home page (IE Bing, google, whatever...). So things work related I use IE, for web browsing of non-working, I use firefox. Recently whenever I reboot my PC and launch firefox, firefox uses my Explorer (working on the intranet) home page internet. I then easily reset on my preference (bing.com) and as long as the PC is on, if I close and Open firefox it keeps bing.com as my home page. I could do this 20 x and it will keep the bing.com homepage. However when I shut down and restart the PC, firefox goes back to the use of the IE homepage (on the intranet of the work). Is there a permanent way to fix this. Our IT Department has been no help. Started a week before what is happening they upgraded our computers to internet explore 11. I tried to reset Firefox but that does not solve the problem.

Hi hunted, something is change or replace your prefs.js file.

Maybe you can thwart it by creating a user.js file. This file is read at startup of Firefox and replace prefs.js. Basically, it only needs a single line, if you could open prefs.js in a text editor after you have corrected to the homepage preference, use Save as to create user.js and then remove all the lines and save/close.

    More information on user.js: http://kb.mozillazine.org/User.js_file

  • Is there anyway to use the safari offers passwords to connect to applications on the iPhone?

I was just curious to know because I have a lot of apps on my phone with Web sites and most of them I download after that I have initially sign on the corresponding website. Since I own an iMac I usually invites me with the request to use a suggested password of safari. I want to be able to use them as much as I can, because I think that is a large generator and all my passwords would be different (and it's better that try to think of one, or, worse, by using a password for everything, and I hate you connecting via Facebook) but the problem is that when I install the app and it wants connect me it seem not to be an option on all (app to the) less, I didn't see a) to recover the password in the keychain. As a result, I end up making my own password for a website that has a corresponding application I know id to use more than the Web site. Is it possible to do besides having to actually go to the section passwords saved in my settings on the iPhone whenever I want to do this? As always, thanks in advance.

No, Safari cannot fill passwords for applications. You can use a like LastPass password manager that allows you to copy and paste the secret codes (I think).
