Please, in the future, remove all the verbiage above when you ask for a
issue. It has nothing to do with your question.

There are two answers to your question:

1. you can access the Clipboard Viewer and see what are the benefits using
clipbrd program, which is built into Vista.

2. Although many people recommend using clipbrd, personally I don't see
reason to do so. No Clipboard observer is really necessary. Just paste
the contents of the Clipboard in any program you want and you will be
See what's in it.

  • Continuity of Clipboard does not not on my Mac OS Sierra?

    I have a MacBook Pro in early 2011 and an iPhone 5, both set to update to the latest Mac OS and iOS.

    Is Bluetooth on both devices, but when I try to copy and paste a text of notes to notes from one device to another, it does not.

    I have tried rebooting without success: no PES support? Tnxs

    Hello Jet787,

    Thanks for this info and choosing the communities Support from Apple. I know the importance of being able to use the Univeral Clipboard feature is for you! If I understand correctly, you cannot copy / paste, even after rebooting. I would check the requirements and the rest of the steps in this article:

    To use the universal Clipboard, your devices must meet the requirements of continuity system. They must also be on the same network Wi - Fi and Bluetooth included in each (33 feet or 10 meters), and have Bluetooth and transfer enabled in the preferences system (on your Mac) and places (on your iOS devices). You must be connected to iCloud by using the same Apple ID on all your devices.

  • How can I disable universal Clipboard?

    Is it possible to disable the universal Clipboard feature without disabling all of the transfer process?

    I'm really uncomfortable with Universal Clipboard silently and automatically copy the Clipboard data between my devices. I sometimes have very sensitive data on my Clipboard, a password, and I want absolute control on where he's going. Even if it's just copying between my devices and never touch the Apple servers, as not safe enough for me.

    Sorry, you're out of luck.  Deactivation of transfer is currently the only way to disable the universal Clipboard.  Just to let you know, the content of your Clipboard is only copied to your device once you paste on the other device.  The Clipboard is NOT constantly pushed to all devices.

  • Universal Clipboard works only one way

    Hello

    I have a MacBook Pro running Mac OS Sierra and an iPhone 5 iOS running 10 of the retina

    Universal Clipboard does work for my Mac to my iPhone.

    When you try to copy stuff from my iPhone Mac does not seem to be able to paste them.

    I checked the time phone and Mac are recorded in the same Apple ID

    The Wi - Fi or Bluetooth connection are on both devices

    I disabled and enabled the transfer option in the settings of devices

    Someone knows what to do?

    Thanks, Idan

    Me too. Exactly the same problem. I have iPhone 6 with iOS 10.0.1 and MacBook Air Early-2015 with macOS Sierra installed on Mac App Store, this morning. Mac & iPhone copy paste works, but the reverse is not.

  • The requirements for the universal Clipboard not correct?

    Hello

    The requirements for the universal Clipboard for iMac is not correct. It should work on my iMac mid 2011, but it doesn't. It works on my Macbook Air mid-2013, so I know it works in general.

    You do not discuss Apple in these forums, we are all users like you.

  • Universal Clipboard does not - prerequisites

    Hello

    Problem:

    "I can't the universal Clipboard to work, even if I met all conditions prior and followed all the guides available at present".

    I have the following devices:

    • MacBook 12 "retina (Early 2015) with macOS Sierra, official release;
    • iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 10, official release.

    What follows is activated/enabled:

    • Bluetooth on both devices;
    • Wi - Fi on both devices.
    • Discount on both devices;
    • Same account iCloud on both devices.

    Things I've tried, with absolutely no results:

    • Copy and paste between the devices, both ways, but it does not (even after a few moments of waiting).
    • Deactivating Bluetooth on both devices and reactivation;
    • Disabling a Wi - Fi connection on both devices and reactivation;
    • Deactivation of discount on the two devices and reactivation;
    • ICloud on both devices and connection disconnect rear;
    • Restart both devices;
    • Reset NVRAM/SMC on Macbook;
    • Looking for updates (both are up to date).

    Details:

    "All other Sierra macOS / iOS 10 features work as expected." Transfer (and other characteristics of continuity - including mobile data sharing) works without any problem at all. It is only the universal Clipboard feature that does not work. I also ran a check of the system, Wi - Fi and Bluetooth chips are defective on these 2 devices. »

    There is no reason why the universal Clipboard feature does not work for me, as I have met all the prerequisites and done all the recommended troubleshooting steps.

    Can someone help me with a working solution?

    P.S.: go to the Apple Store or reinstallation of the OS is not what I call a working solution. It is only your time and solves nothing. The solution must be more practical, i.e. a file of damaged preferences or something like that).

    Problem solved.

    I reinstalled Mac OS Sierra and apparently it solved the problem.

    I don't know there was some preference and/or a file that has changed somewhere. It's a little extreme, but again, it is the only one who gave convincing results.

  • Universal Clipboard is encrypted and how the data is stored in iCloud

    Hello

    You need a deep understanding of the works of the new, universal Clipboard feature safety? The feature is nice, but do you copy your password by company store system administrator password... This password is moving all over the world and also through Apple servers... Don't make me happy.

    Who can guarantee that the communication is encrypted and the data stored in iCloud are not used for other purpose?

    Thanks and greetings

    Security and privacy - Apple Support Overview iCloud

    Although not listed here, all data transmitted to the Apple servers is encrypted in transit and on the server.

    I can't offer any advice on the question of whether your transmissions could be intercepted and decoded.

    They say they also unequivocally that they never provide encryption keys to any third party. Which has been further strengthened with their recent dealings with the FBI.

    You'll have to decide for yourself if you agree with what Apple says.

  • Universal Clipboard working somehow

    Universal Clipboard works well for me my MacBook Pro for iPhone, but its not working only not from iPhone to MacBook Pro. No idea what could be the problem here?

    I also have this problem. He is able to copy of MacBook Air and paste on the iPhone, but it doesn't work in another way. After having copied a text on the iPhone, the Mac Clipboard is not synchronized.

  • How does the universal Clipboard?

    I tried the function universal Clipboard referred to in the http://help.apple.com/macOS/Sierra/WN/?lang=en_US#/universal-clipboard.

    My Mac running Sierra and my iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 10 are right next to each other.

    I copied a URL in the address bar in Chrome and then try to paste in the application Notes on my iPhone, but nothing has stuck.

    What are the requirements/limitations of this feature?

  • How can I copy the list of names of files in the finder and set the Clipboard filenames separated by commas?

    Hi guys, I was wonder if anyone can give me a hand with a script.

    I need to be able to paste a list of file names of the files as follows:

    0001.jpg 0002.jpg 0003.jpg 0004.jpg

    At the moment, if I select the files in the Finder, copy to the Clipboard and paste them in TextEdit, they are like this:

    0001.jpg

    0002.jpg

    0003.jpg

    0004.jpg

    I found a similar but slightly different script and I don't know how to change it. Here it is:

    Define extension_list to {"jpg", "" JPG","jpeg","JPEG"}

    the value cbNames (Clipboard text) paragraphs

    Set csvNames to {}

    the tid value delimiters to point to the text of the AppleScript

    the text value of the AppleScript point delimiters ".»

    -now, make a list of names without extensions

    Repeat with the names in cbNames

    If the point 2 of the text names is extension_list then

    copy of text 1 of names at the end of csvNames

    end if

    end repeat

    Journal csvNames

    -now the filenames as comma CONCATENATE string separated

    the text value of the point delimiters AppleScript «»

    csvNames value cross-as text

    the text value of the point AppleScript delimiters tid

    There is an easier way. Open a TextEdit document and paste the list in. Place the cursor at the end of the first item and drag it to the start of the second.

    Press on + command + c to copy and then command + f to bring up find it. Press command + v (do not click in the first search field). Check the 'Replace' box, click in the field replace, and then type a comma and a space.

    Click 'All' and then 'done '.

  • How to enable Firefox to access my Clipboard, so that I can paste it in a browser window?

    Copy from another document and paste it into our site SharePoint - I get the message that "the your browser is not configured to allow access to the Clipboard of your computer." Use Ctrl + X to cut, Ctrl + C for copy and Ctrl + V to paste. However, Ctrl + V will paste not really anything like that and I can't find any configuration setting in Firefox that can be changed.

    Firefox does not currently allow web pages access the Clipboard through JavaScript, so, your only option would be to use the keyboard.

    Shift + insert work in case the site is intercept the CTRL key?

    What kind of content you are trying to paste?
    That is plain text or the format of content?

    Use keyboard shortcuts if the buttons on the web page or other methods do not work.

    • Copy: Ctrl + C or Ctrl + insert (Mac: command + C)
    • Paste: Ctrl + V or shift + insert (Mac: command + V)
    • Cut: Ctrl + X or shift + delete (Mac: command + X)
  • Clipboard in Fx Android does not work why?

    (Hope this isn't a duplicate: when I started posting, the system asked me to confirm my e-mail address and said that my message would be displayed, but the system said now I haven't sent anything.) A little later: my mistake, a misunderstanding of the language of the system forum. I had posted, which seems to not be the same as sent. My original post was, in fact, posted, but I looked in the wrong place.)

    With Android Kitkat 4.x, I could set up an account with Keepass, get my user name or password saved to the Clipboard, then go to Fx, set up a logon account page, press and hold in the area id or password, and the popup 'Paste' seems to me; clicking on the icon would transfer the data from the Clipboard to the corresponding logon box.

    With Android 5.0 Lollipop, it does not work: instead of the paste popup, I get an arrow in the login box telling me where to type in the data. I know the Clipboard Android works: using Keepass, I can record the date in the Clipboard and then, for example, go to Gmail, hold on, 'Paste', click on that and see the Clipboard data transferred to Gmail. The Fx problem exists since I received my phone Moto X last March thanks to every Android Fx update, the most recent of which this release.

    When I long press on the field, I get a bar upstairs that has an icon of the dough. I have attached a screenshot (reduced size) of what I see. (It was one thing to chance, that I copied, because I don't have Keepass.)

    You don't get something like this?

    Oops, perhaps it is 5.1 and not 5.0

    I should have asked before:

    What exact steps where you next when you've copied and pasted into a 'newly opened document.

    My steps were (on my Samsung Tab S 10 4.4.2 running):

    1. in Firefox selected, then copied text
    2. past in app Google Dungeon
    3. successfully pasted the text in Dungeon in the 'add a quick note', also tapped the new note icon and pasted the text into a new note
