Clone a project

I was wondering about the old application it is possible to clone a project but on the new application I can duplicate files in the same project but unable to move to this new project im empty.

Thank you

Hi Pablo.

There is currently no way to move pictures between projects or to duplicate a painting of a project and place it in another project.

If it works to copy the image to the Clipboard (while in a canvas) and paste it into the Photo layer on a canvas in another project? I know that's not the same thing, but if you just need the image there, it might work.

    I forgot. Yes, these files you must change manually, but not always.

    I suggest you use paths based on the path of the project file . And if you have an outdoor then it's ok, or?

    for example $$ _PRO_FILE_PWD_

    LIBS +=-L"$$_PRO_FILE_PWD_/3rdparty/libs/"-lpsapi

  • LoadLibrary fails with error code 5 after cloning project and SCF files to another directory.

    I have a project which communicates to an instrument on a USB UART.   The instrument telemetry packages are defined in the DLL that the main application load using LoadLibrary with a relative at the entrance path.  The plugin DLL is two directories below the application of all executable has been working well for months until I had need to clone the project (using Hg).  The cloned project is no longer responsible for the DLL.  The DLL is not corrupted as I can hard code their paths in my initial project for them and load them very well.  The cloned project concludes files (using GetFirstFile), so I know that the path string is corect, but that it is impossible to load the DLL using LoadLibrary.  The error code returned is 5.  Has anyone seen similar behavior when you try to copy or clone a project?

    Thanks for any help you can give!

    When you move or copy projects from one place to another I just copy the entire folder + subfolders and never had problems: CVI warns that roads had to be fix al corrects itself. However, error 5 should be "Access denied" then you can check the properties and the safety of the files copied to ensure that your code can access it properly.

    Otherwise, couldn't place the dll in some of the standard search paths? You will thus avoid problems in cases like yours.

    Hey there!

    Behance and Adobe portfolio work together for your projects of synchronization from one to the other.

    There is no way to "unsync" Behance and portfolio, however, there is a solution!

    • Clone the project you're working on Behance
    • Disable (using the toggle button) the project "synchronized" portfolio and not sync cloned the new project which has been cloned on Behance

    Hi - I am trying to create a project to help duplicate using RH6 + Robosource Control. I've copied project folder, renames, opened the project, renamed the project within the parameters of HR project and generated. Everything seemed fine, but I expect to be able to then 'add the project to source code control. The only option was "delete source code control" which means that the project was already in source code control. This is logical because the name of .cpj is the same... Miss me a fundamental concept and step here... (perhaps several)-can anyone help?
    Thanks in advance,
    Cathy

    Hi Cathy -.

    No, it's not very intuitive, is it? Unless you go through all the right steps to disconnect the CSR project, the project that you copied will think it is the original... a bit like a human in a science fiction movie clone! But I digress. Here's what you must do to clone a project under RoboSource Control:

    1. a copy of the project.
    2 remove the following files from the root of the new project:
    -pblsvrs.sss (if applicable)
    -mssccprj.scc (if present)
    -projectname.cpd
    -projectname.pss
    3. in Notepad, open projectname.xpj.
    4 remove all entries between and , but let the two tags.
    5. close Notepad, and then save the xpj file.
    You now have a project that is removed from the source control.
    6 open the project in HR and rename the project.

    You now have a new independent project.

  • What is included when generating with version control on?

    When you use the source control, it is possible to generate a presentation of unique source for an "older version"? For example I wrote documentation for a version of our product that must be released in a few days, but I don't want to not generate it in case of last minute changes. In the meantime, I want to continue to work on things for the next release. Is this possible? Or do what I have until I generate appear?
    I use RH5 right now, but it can be upgraded if necessary.

    Hi codesharing.

    RoboHelp will generate output files that residents on your pc at the moment. At the time of the generation, HR does not check if the files are up-to-date or not; This happens when you open the project, not when you generate.

    Where you're sitting right now, I'd be suspicious of continuous development that you want included in your immediate release. I consider two options to deal with this:
    1. Add your new hardware, but apply tags to build it so that it is excluded from your version. You can remove the tags to build later.
    2. in the alternative, to clone the project source files that are on your pc now. Keep a copy in a safe place like a copy of archive for your release. (It's probably a good idea in any case.) Place another copy in a new directory, and remove the control code source as follows:
    a. delete the following files from the root of the project: mssccprj.scc, projectname.cpd, pblsvrs.sss and projectname.pss.
    b. using Notepad, open projectname.xpj.
    c. remove all entries between and , but let the two tags.
    d. close Notepad, and then save the xpj file.
    You now have a project that is removed from the source control. You can make final changes before your release in this version of the project and build from here. (Please note that these changes must also be added to your 'real' source controlled as well). At the same time, you can continue with new developments in your project under source control.

    Theoretically, you should be able to label different versions of your project in the RSC. However, at this stage of the project, I doubt you want to experiment with it. I would go with one of the two options above.

    I would certainly encourage store this copy archived your project for all milestone version, just for your own protection against the terrible influence of Murphy's law.

  • Version control issues

    Hello world

    Can someone please tell me how to create a copy of a project that can be opened, edition, etc without affecting the project we have in Visual SourceSafe? We strive to create documents printed from our CHM files, and instead of playing with our project work, we want to test a copy first. I copied the project in Explorer, it opened and got an of SourceSafe Options dialog box. We went to file-> delete the Version control and that the project work, away from SourceSafe.
    All I want is a copy of the draft to play with until we get it to look like we want to, and then make the changes in the working draft.

    This is a repetition of the procedure.

    To clone a project under RoboSource Control:

    1. a copy of the project.

  • 'Clone' of the project library (.lvlib)

    We have a study on sound localization - move us a speaker with a robotic arm, play sound through the speaker, ask our subjects to point a laser where they perceive the location of the sound and press a button.  We can also turn on LEDs and lasers, adjust sync settings, even to move the sound source.  The various tests are "programmed" by entries into an Excel workbook with columns for the timing, healthy situation, sound settings, etc.  In addition to the Excel workbook, we generate 3 output files - a header file XML that describes the configuration of the recording (analog and digital channel names and scales) and saves the settings of each trial as it is executed, an XML event which records all of the events of "point-in-time", such as Messages, status changes, or modifies the digital I/o, and a file of examples that contains N (usually 16) sampled analog and digital channels sampled at 1 kHz.  We control all of this a LabVIEW Real-time project, which also includes routines to study, manipulate and analyze data of output files.

    The project evolves (slowly) - we are currently at Version 2.0 (Version 1.x was developed in LabVIEW 7.0, this is the complete rewrite 2012/2014, "start from scratch and do it right, or at least better").  We are contemplating adding the ability to study the sounds delivered via stereo headphones (vary the volume from left to right or by adding a small time gap between channels) and calls this Version 2.1.

    To try and prevent "Version hell", we intend to do "backward compatibility" Versions - we will Add some new columns to the workbook Excel for new parameters in headphones, but put in place LabVIEW code to simply "do nothing" (with headphones) if he reads a Version 2.0 workbook where these parameters are lacking.  This allows us to code of Version 2.1 allows to make a Version 2.0 experience.

    We are faced with one of the problems are to know how read and analyze or manipulate data files resulting.  For example, the header file contains specific sets the version of the data, which are analyzed by the XML parser and converted directly into a Cluster of LabVIEW.  Thus a Version 2.0 file must be read by the code who "knows" a Cluster of Trial Version 2.0, whereas a 2.1 file needs a trial 2.1 Cluster.

    When I read the header file, the first thing I encounter is the Version number (2.0 or 2.1).  Knowing this, I could, in principle, use a Case statement to call a Version 2.0 or Version 2.1 analysis routine.  But I am trying to 'avoid a mess', and libraries in the project seems a good way to do so, if I understand how to use them properly.

    [For now, I have to say that I tried a little experiment: I have created a new project, built Library1 in a folder with a 'Hello' and 'Test' Library1, built the library 2 (inside the folder library 2) with 'Hello' and 'Test' (different) and called the high-level.]  Worked well.  I then "took a shortcut" and copied the folder Library1 (outside of LabVIEW) on the menaces3.  When I said that the project to add 3 library, I had a mess of conflicts, which I couldn't resolve.  And I "broke" LabVIEW - even after removing all the .lvlib and the .lvproj files, I couldn't create a project and make a folder to add (Snapshot) without a missing file error to appear.  I did the experiment using LabVIEW 2012 - this problem has affected not only LabVIEW 2012, but also 2013 LabVIEW and LabVIEW 2014, but not LabVIEW 2011.  I spoke with the support of OR, which are also puzzled.  I am currently working in a new virtual machine until I can get LabVIEW "repaired"].

    What I want to do is identify all Version-specific routines in my folder of analysis and include data in this case TypeDefs for the Version-specific parts.  I would then "wrap" all this in a project library Version 2.0.  The code "on the outside" would have its own copy of TypeDefs (she could use the "Latest Version", as external routines are supposed to be 'backward compatibility'.

    So here are my questions.

    1. Suppose that I restructured my project so that I have a record, both "Real" and "Virtual" (in the project) parsing, and it contains a subfolder called Version 2.0 that contains the Version-specific TypeDefs and most of parsing code.  Is there an easy way to transform the Version 2.0 to Version 2.0 Library folder so that when I call functions in this library, they use Version 2.0 of the TypeDefs of the library, regardless of the TypeDefs declared in the main routine?

  • Assuming that I have a folder of Version 2.0 of work and the library, is there an easy way to "clone" to make a folder of Version 2.1 and the library?  If so, all I would need to do the "work" for Version 2.1 of the code would replace TypeDefs of Version 2.0 in the file of Version 2.1 with the "correct" TypeDefs, and (b) add any additional analysis code is required for the new features in the new Version.
  • I apologize for the long-winded nature of this issue.  I look for tutorials on libraries of the project (there are), but none covered this topic.  To pay for your patience, I am happy to write and submit to the OR for a future white paper on libraries of the project - which would speak?

    Bob Schor

    PS - Moderator - if it belongs to another Forum, feel free to move it.

    On the money Bob!  Save under... Duplicate the hierarchy to the new location (requires that the new library offers a new name)

    To convert a virtual folder to a lvlib just to create a new lvlib in the project and move the project members want in the new lvlib Project Explorer does the rest of the book nitty gritty on registration of the members of the lvlib with the new property information.  (You will be prompted to save the members when the composition is changed)

    And Yes, it's the kind of mistake you don't do twice.  And, believe it or not, I had this type of issue used to justify not using projects! "they are too much hassle when you mud round in windows Explorer ' then I asked them if the never borrowed the car of their father and did not him tell you parked above on the next Street.  They now use projects.

  • Project yet for DVD & Blu - ray - I can clone it?

    Hello

    I have a video ready to be exported from PremierePro and recorded in PAL 16:9 Full HD. Now, I need to create a DVD and a Blu - ray of the same video disc.

    I want to only create a project and then clone so that I can use it for both media.

    I have already created a project yet, pick a HD theme. I have now completed everything: I've only worked on the menu but no video, jet.

    I would like to know if I can now duplicate the folder and dedicate a folder (still draft) for the DVD and the other folder for Blu - Ray or if this is not possible. I think this should be possible, because if the video is 16:9 for the two media there should be no difference; but do not know.

    Don't forget, I've changed most of what the HD model had. I used just a few things.

    If this is not possible, can you please teach me how to work on the menus and the preparation of the DVD, before I have to insert the video, once when I create two separate circles in order to reproduce the customizations?

    I wish to create two projects still separate and do create all the menu from scratch twice.

    Also, is there a valid book that I can buy being devoted to yet or is not required (perhaps because there is a lot of documentation on the Internet)? I learn properly.

    Thank you

    In theory, this should be possible, but in reality I would create certainly 2 separate projects.

    The main reason is that Blu - ray is 1920 x 1080 square pixels, DVD-video is 720 x 576 (PAL - more on this subject in a minute), and the pixels are rectangular, with the report being in the area of 1.4 PAL: 1 that can destroy a menu if simply scale you down because not only you lose half of your resolution vertical & almost 2/3 of your horizontal resolution , the pixels will be being stretched as well horizontally.

    For these reasons, you will need to choose fonts on the screen very carefully for the DVD version and I would be absolutely for certainty make 2 separate menu fixed if it was my project.

    PAL is not really an ideal standard to use, as it has a rate of 25 frames per second and you're simply unplayable outside the EU on the vast majority of the players & TV systems - you will definitely trouble to Japan & US.

    To make things even more difficult, you can't use progressive scan in PAL resolution either - it's just not in the Blu - ray standard - you will need to use interlaced.

    The video is probably the least of your worries, however. First & still may reduce but also make the necessary encoding MPEG-2 for DVD - personally I'd this separate 2 processes, review the decline in SD resolution first to a provisional 10-bit lossless codec and this review of a problem before I did the final version of MPEG-2 for DVD.

    Hope this helps

  • Clone fails - auxiliary database listener running but not no projection in LSNRCTL

    Hello

    I'm a DBA again working with databases Oracle 11.2.0.2 on Solaris.

    With RMAN, I'm trying to clone a database of production of server1 to the database of test on server2. The RMAN process fails with the error: RMAN-04006: auxiliary database error: ORA-12528: TNS:listener: all appropriate instances are blocking new connections.

    When I look at the auxiliary database (test), it is up and running, I can't tnsping it. However, under the heading 'lsnrctl services' I noticed that the corresponding listener is missing... even though when I check the running processes using ' ps - ef | grep LSNR", I can see the process.

    I can start and stop the listener for this database successfully, but it is still not listed under lsnrctl show or lsnrctl services. The entry for this database in the listener.ora file corresponds to the exact same format as other listeners of DB on the same server that display correctly.

    The use of generic names, the entry is:

    LOGGING_LSNR_XXXX = OFF

    LSNR_XXXX =
    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP (PORT = 1529))(HOST = server2))
    )
    )
    )

    SID_LIST_LSNR_XXXX =
    (SID_LIST =
    (SID_DESC =
    (GLOBAL_DBNAME = XXXX.domain.LOCAL)
    (SID_NAME = XXXX)
    (ORACLE_HOME = u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1)
    )
    )

    TRACE_LEVEL_LSNR_XXXX = OFF

    Our previous DBA is not available for assistance.

    I would greatly appreciate any ideas or advice.

    Thank you.

    I've renamed the listener.ora and stopped and restarted the listener, wait a minute, as you suggest. All databases on the server, but two appear in the commands below. One of the two that does not appear is the database in question. Is this provides additional clues? Thank you.

    It suggests to me that two missing databases have a value assigned to their 'LOCAL_LISTENER' init parameter, pointing to the non-standard port.

    It gives to think that the missing DBA has tried to look at things and created an environment unnecessarily complex.

    A single listener, with the default name for LISTENER, using the default port of 1521 is quite capable of--indeed, was designed for - several databases of several versions of several ORACLE_HOMEs service. Try to "name" a listener or put it on a default undefined port does nothing but confuse those who come behind.

    But I digress from the topic of your immediate problem. Return the listener.ora file, restart your receiver. Then note what JohnWatson said about the way of lsnrctl commands addressed to this non-standard listener.

  • Closure of the Clones of models

    I use a Template and VI server to create several "clones" that allows me to perform several tasks in parallel.  The Clones are written as a stand-alone VI, with a stop button on the control panel until I push by program to stop the Clone.  If I create, for example, three clones, I'll get three before Clone 1 Clone 2 panels and 3 clone.

    When I go to close the project, I wonder if I want to save the created Clones.  The answer, of course, is always 'no '.  Is there a way to 'close' programmatically these Clones without saving them so I asked this question?  I'm happy to have the front panels are not visible - indeed, my routine to start the Clone has an option "Hide the front panel" and my routine to stop the Clone has an option "Close cover" - If either is set, the Clone of the front panel are not visible when the program terminates.  However, even in this case, the fence project asks me to save all the Clones.

    Another issue that could be related to "Unregistered Clones" - when the program and the Clones are stopped and I try to fill in the project, I get a message saying "the proposed closure will stop some current screws execution".  However, to the best of my knowledge, there is no screws running is there something that I am missing?  'Do something' to the farm/stop all that generated this message?

    I guess that there are the "arguments" (or maybe even 'evidence') on the best way to spawn asynchronous clones - using a model of VI (like me) and start to help run a VI, making the reentrant VI and it start by running a VI or using the asynchronous call start.  I don't know the relative merits of these different methods, but conceptually (think in terms of 'prove accuracy', explaining to others, maintenance, etc.), model VI method seems not 'wrong' to me.  In any case, it's the premise of my question.

    I have all the clones close to "" asking them to stop.  I have two chances to close their facades - I can choose to run them without having to open the front panel, or can choose to close the front before stopping them.  If I make one (or both) of these, I received both a message saying, I couldn't close the project without stopping a VI running (but there was no 'obviously' running VI) and asking me to save all the clones.

    The correct answer to my question was to be sure that the references used to open and close the clones has been closed, something that I had forgotten to do (I discovered and corrected this omission today).  It seems the answer to my question.

  • Why is this a version clone (read-only) open when I go down to the bottom for a sub - VI

    I just installed a trial version of LabView 2010. But I noticed that when I create a program of LV and descend to the bottom of a Subvi (is Subvi is also created by me, not a reference to a library), it opens a version only read of the Subvi, which I'm going to. The title of the window shows also the Subvi is down is a clone version, unmodifiable. Why? That's why an evaluation version?

    If you use a project, try opening the sub - vi by the project and not by the appellant vi.

    If you use not a project, it opens the traditional way: file > open > navigate to the subvi and select it.

    You can also (and simpler) try ctrl-M on the open clone to make it the master.

    To check if it is re-entering, on the file menu, select properties of VI > execution

    Look if there is a check mark in the reentrant run box.

    It does not matter if you only have an open reentrant vi.  If you have opened if the appellant vi, it will be a clone.  Boring, Yes.

  • Impossible to clone any code sample of BlackBerry of GitHub (on Windows at least)

    GitHub recently brought significant changes to their web site and workflow. It was that you could clone any public repository simply by downloading a ZIP file of the entire project.  It is no longer available, and now the only way to clone a repository must be running a git clone of the command line, or use the new GitHub application, which is much easier to use occasional (and not irritable). Or other method now requires to have an account on GitHub, so I advanced and created a new.

    Generally, the simplest workflow is to launch the GitHub application (not sure if this is true for non-Windows platforms), then use a browser to navigate to the repository on GitHub and drag the token "GitHub Inc." to the far left of the navigation bar of the browser on the GitHub application screen.

    At this point GitHub is supposed to appear a window asking where you want to clone the repository to locally. This happens for ALL the code examples in BlackBerry. Instead, you get a window that displays a message like this:

    The log file is completely useless, since it only contains entries on the GitHub application startup, do not attempt cloning. I pulled my hair for two days trying to solve this, thinking that my GitHub configuration was corrupted somehow, since I hadn't used for cloning any other depositary before the BlackBerry I have tried. For some reason any at 03:00 one morning that all of a sudden, I wondered if all other repositories might work, so I tried a few public ones as a cloning experiment. To my surprise, they were all cloned perfectly. Other tests revealed that ANY non-BlackBerry repository, I tried would be perfectly, clone while NONE of the BlackBerry code those would clone example. I tried since with repositories of the sample of BB at least a dozen, all with the same negative results.

    As I said, the other way to clone a repository with git clone CLI command or use a tool such as TortoiseGit, actually running a git clone under the hood. Anyway, trying to clone a repository of sample BB the command indicates that there is no repository at the specified URL.

    Many of the sample of BlackBerry apps can be downloaded from the home page Momentics, but many less popular are not included and only can be cloned from the GitHub site. Given that it is impossible, it's a show total Cap unless you want to watch one of the most common of the homepage.

    Here are a few deposits NON-BlackBerry which clone perfectly using the two methods I describe above:

    https://github.com/colinsc/Koha/

    https://github.com/pianohacker/Koha

    https://github.com/bendc/Sprint

    https://github.com/mikeflynn/egg.js

    https://github.com/square/keywhiz

    https://github.com/CoderMJLee/MJExtension

    These are all repositories just randomly from several sources with nothing in common except that they are public GitHub repositories. All clone them easily. Now try to clone ANY repository of sample of BlackBerry. This one, for example...

    https://github.com/BlackBerry/Cascades-samples/tree/master/cascadescookbookcpp

    Cloning will fail. Can someone at BlackBerry please look at this?

    IIRC, you need to clone the whole samples, they are not available as individual projects.

  • DBaaS Snap Clone holds 50 GB on ZFSSA

    Hello

    We have implemented DBaaS Snap Clones in OEM with ZFSSA.

    Each volume created the ZFSSA reserve 50 GB of storage.

    Dig in the newspapers of the process of creating thin clone I found commands below:

    Got the value of the Variable list: smf_clone_size_list = [52428800]

    ...

    actions select mycloud smf_vol_1234 select set booking = 52428800 k

    So I guess that a reservation just OEM side, not project ZFSSA settings.

    "Space accessible by writing" on a screen "Cloud Self Service Portal Setup: database ' has been set at 100 GB and I think that this setting refers to the space reserved, but want to be sure before change it.

    I could decrease the reservation of the console ZFSSA BUI, but I am looking for an automatic approach.

    Someone at - it faces the same problem? How to change placeholder for the Clones of Snap DBaaS?

    Best regards

    Mikhail.

    Hello

    I found an answer.

    We create the model of service using: create_service_template of emcli command:

    emcli create_service_template-name = "TemplateName" - input_file = "json.params"...

    input_file contains the service model configuration data:

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E24628_01/EM.121/e17786/cli_verb_ref.htm#EMCLI518

    SnapClone reserved 50 GB on ZFSSA because of the setting:

      { "name" : "THIN_PROVISIONING:MOUNT_ADDL_SIZE_LIST",
        "subconfigurations" : [ { "name" : "MOUNT_ADDL_SIZE_LIST:1",
              "value" : "50"
            }
          ]
      },

    When I changed the value of 25, modified accordingly placeholder.

    I was previously using CS5 and had no problems whatsoever using my Wacom Intuos Pro tablet.

    I recently bought CC and right from the beginning I had these problems. Thinking it was me and/or software needing to be updated I rebooted and check for updates and then restarted once more. No change.

    I've heard questions like that and have experimented with not having all the music in the background and also tried the Clone Source method that some have found useful. I have found that nothing done.

    The problem is that when I click Alt/Option and click on the place where what I want to clone, the ScreenTip remains on the source image select and only after pressing the Alt/Option key does not change. It is so hit and Miss if the place you have chosen is the place you want to clone from. What you imagine is not an ideal way to try to work.

    For me personally, the clone tool is an important tool and use it to each project.

    I am weather wondering a connected usb keyboard would work better? Its strange as so far it so the only tool I have a problem with.
