Clone of another hard disk Vista system

I works under Vista 32 bit on 250GBs hard drive (C :) and now want to move on to bigger hard drive.) After that I can reformat the old hdd as a hard drive for data.
So, how do I clone or copy Vista systems include directory, adjustment system, registry, and other from the old to the new hard drive and then I can start the new hard disk as a C: Vista?

Vista backup, depending on version.

When you buy a new theHard drive Hard Drive manufacturer has normally cloning software available on the Web site for you 'move' your operating system.

  • Move from Vista to Windows 7 AND transfer on a different hard disk operating system

I want to upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit and in the same movement of time the OS Vista Home Premium 32-bit & a Seagate 80 GB HARD drive to two 250 GB hard drives in a RAID configuration. I intend to replace the 80 GB HARD disk with a faster drive Windows XP, so I find myself with a dual-boot system.  Apart from the exchange of small hard drives, the system will be unchanged compared to when I activated Vista.  Since it seems I have to reinstall all the programs on W7 in any case (damn and the breath), I wonder if it will be necessary (for reasons of product activation) or useful (for operational reasons) to first clone Vista to the larger players. I am aware that Seagate provides cloning software, also free that 250 GB seems a little bit today - but he will do well while this PC is still working. In case it is relevant, the Vista is OEM (I built the PC and I bought Vista with the motherboard), but I will get the retail version of Windows 7.  Most experts with thanks...

    Hello

We cannot move the operating system from one hard disk to another. However, we can install the operating system on another hard drive or take the whole operating system if necessary system image backup.
NOTE: You'll have to do a custom Setup to upgrade to the 64 bit version of Windows 7.
Windows Backup gives you the opportunity to create a system image, which is an exact image of a disk. A system image includes Windows and your control panel, programs and files. You can use a system image to restore the contents of your computer if your hard drive or computer ever stops working. When you restore your computer from a system image, it's a complete restoration; You cannot choose to restore individual items and all of your current programs, Control Panel, and the files are overwritten.

  • Can I use easy transfer of the hard disk Vista for 64-bit Windows 7 computer?

My computer laptop 32 bit vista is dead, but the hard drive is intact.  I can access it using a disk blacx disk drive hard usb.  All files seem to be good.  I gave the disc all permissions for changes, etc., so that it is not just to read only.  He sees my new laptop running windows 7 64 bit.  I found files in the record Office of the old drive so that part works.

I tried to use easy transfer in windows 7.  Installed on the old disk of vista.  But I can't launch the vista easy transfer since this computer is dead.

Is there a way I can transfer my emails, photos, documents and the itune files?

    Thank you.

You can use Knoppixhttp://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html with a good ISO as Copier: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm as well as a blank CD (made on a different computer).  This should give you sufficient access to the Vista system 'dead' (if you can not get in any other way) backup/transfer your important data (like everything else you mentioned) to the one you use (an external hard drive, flash player,...). You will not be able to save your settings or your programs because they require the enforcement system to use easy transfer and regular functions copy and paste will do the trick. If Knoppix doesn't work, try slaving the hard drive to another computer, and then after the data you want to save it.

    I hope this helps.

  • Help - need to consolidate the partitions on the hard disk after system recovery

There are 4 partitions on my laptop Lenovo w/Vista. They are the main with the system OS etc. files partition, then an extended 9.7 GB partition labeled volume D: 98 GB of unallocated space and then finally the OEM with the recovery image section. I want to create a partition that is important as the C: volume with all that on it. The only other partition would be the volume of the OEM. Now when I try to use the unallocated space (create a simple volume with quick format) it says the operation cannot be completed because there is not enough space on the hard drive; that cannot be true because the unallocated space is 98 GB +. I got the OS to the factory setting thinking that it would be re - format the hard disk for the installation of 2 original score. No luck. I need help! We cannot add a lot of apps of software in the form of program files before the C: drive runs out of space. Help!

  • Switching to SSD HARD disk drives system

I intend to install an SSD in my current PC and move my 8.1 Windows Installer to it. I have my key and a Flash Drive with the installation. But given that the SSD is a little less than half the size of my HARD drive today (instead of 500 GB 240 GB) I can't keep everything on the HARD drive now on the SSD.

Is there a way to define the library pointers to another drive? What workout programs installed by default? Can I keep the old drive and use for this purpose? Is there some essential applications, such as browsers or Office, this need to live on the SSD? And I can recover my Outlook e-mail directories when I re-install Outlook?

The purpose of having an SSD is also not only for the operating system runs faster, but also for your applications. Redirect requests to the mechanical hard drive would go to this effect. You should only redirect your personal folder on the HARD disk.

    pass the SSD HARD drive

See the instructions below how to do this using Easeus do save:

    http://www.TODO-backup.com/backup-resource/data-transfer/move-Windows8.1-from-HDD-to-SSD.htm

You will probably need an external hard drive with enough space for the installation of backup hard disk.

You can then use the instructions in the following article to redirect your libraries mechanical hard disk if you decide to keep it and use it for data.

  • Pavilion g7-1281nr: how to make a record of the hard disk operating system

I tried to google the answer and know how to make a disc of windows 7 operating system.  We are starting to see some problems with windows and I want a real physical disk in case we have a hard disk crash.  the problem is google and the hp support page says to click a shortcut in windows to start the process, but this shortcut does not exist. I have HP LaunchBox manager and HP Setup Manager.  What to do to make the drive o/s?

I'm sorry, but your information is wrong.  The correct way to be able to burn the discs is:

    go to start

    find HP help and Support

Click on the one here is the HP configuration manager

    run this program

    Click set up backup

in the new window, you have 2 options

    Automatically back up files locally

    or

    Create recovery discs

    choose to create recovery disks

    Now click on

    Launch the HP Recovery Manager

    Now you can choose

    Recovery media creation

It is not in the start menu as stated the help files you sent.

I figured it out by just clicking things and fell into it.

  • I have a clone of the hard disk that my images are on for the trip.  How to run LR using that drive rather than what he became in general?

I cloned the drive that my images are on a hard disk that is tougher to travel.  Think of this as an extra back upward.  How to run LR using that drive rather than what he became in general?  My plan is to return to the top/clone the drive trip to the typical reader when I go home.  The catalogue is available on a MacBook Air I'll use at any time.  It is not just enough space on the hard drive of MB Air for images.  I thought of naming the road trip with the same name as the player who is at home, and know that LR, but I think I'll get confused by doing this. The info on the two drives is the same at this point.

    Thank you.

You use the update folder location command, as explained in part 2 of this document: http://www.computer-darkroom.com/lr2_find_folder/find-folder.htm

You can consider using Smart saw instead of wearing of the pictures with you on an external drive, if you have the space.

    Hello

    ·         You have several configured on the system start?

This can happen if you have a multiboot system, or if there are multiple partitions on the disk.

During the installation of XP, make sure that you select C: as the partition where you want to install the operating system. Then to comply once more he comply when it prompts you to install XP on the C: drive. Check whether the problem is resolved. I suggest you follow the steps mentioned in the article below.

  • Secondary hard disk to 'system '?

I have several hard drives in my PC. Disk management tells me that the C: drive is "Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, primary Partition, as it should be, and I expect other readers to simply be"Primary Partition"normally." However, my drive H: is "System, active, primary Partition" - and indeed, when I unplugged once, the computer failed to load Windows.

Why is this crucial disc to my PC run, and that means that I can't replace it? I think the drive has failed and if it means that I have to reinstall Windows 7 I will be very annoyed. If I need, I will be able to copy the files on it on a larger replacement disk and keep the computer running?
    Thank you

    Hello

By reading your description, why don' t you consider to use a third-party partition management tool to help you manage your disks? There are free programs that work. I just resize my partition and change the State of the partition that I needed (logical change of primary partition and then as active). Indeed, I have much enjoyed. Now I share with you what I found this software useful in

I hope it can help you!

  • Question about CS5.5 to another hard disk on the same PC

I would spend my CS5.5 to another drive on the same system, purely a matter of real estate on the C drive, now piled up. I have a 1 terabyte of disk I want to spend this sequel to. I don't know that I have to disable and uninstall before that and hope CS5.5 can live on non - C drive as well.

Apart from disabling, what other factors could I be dominant? Thank you in advance.

You can not move installed programs

When you install a program it lies not only in the program folder files

It spread during the operating system: registry, associations with other programs, etc, etc.
