  We have installed Oracle Applications R12.1.1 on Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.3 successfully, we are not able to connect to the db SYS account.

  We tried to connect to the applications , it will connect, but it is throwing for SYS error message

  SQL > conn / @r12erp as sysdba

  ERROR:

  ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

  SQL > conn sys/change_on_install@r12erp as sysdba

  ERROR:

  ORA-01017: name of user and password invalid. connection refused

  What is the procedure to connect and change the SYS account.

  I am preparing a Linux machine for installation of Oracle Applications R12 and currently I have several problems with the HCVE tests that are part of the ANR ([Doc ID 250262.1| https://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/f?p=130:14:4000869102561861013:p14_database_id, p14_docid, p14_show_header, p14_show_help, p14_black_frame, p14_font:NOT, 250262.1, 1, 0, 0, helvetica]). Here are the first two problems:
  
  1. when I run the RDA (. rda.pl t hcve) and select a test (in this case, "Oracle Database 11 g R1 (11.1.0) PreInstall (Linux AMD64)"), the script wonder of the JDK 'House '. Why the script asks if the installation process will install JDK? If I jump it (i.e. just press enter), the JDK test shows up as failed in the results. What should I put here?
  
  2. the tests 'process limit' and 'Limit descriptors' fail both:
  
  A00120 doesn't have a process boundary less 16384
  A00130 FAILURE of lower limit to 65536 descriptors
  
  I put these two values in /etc/security/limits.conf according to the instructions here: [Doc ID 761566.1| https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/f?p=130:14:4000869102561861013:p14_database_id, p14_docid, p14_show_header, p14_show_help, p14_black_frame, p14_font:NOT, 761566.1, 1, 1, 1, helvetica]

  Hello

  If you mean how to access the e-Business Suite from the virtual machine, and then you just navigate to the same URL as you would normally. You may need to put the alias of the machine in your hosts file if you reference it via the name of the computer rather than the IP address.

  If you mean you want to load the form in the form designer (for example) then you will need to FTP the form from the server to the client (as you normally would), then open it in your client (XP virtual machine).

  If you want to use the workflow designer (according to your initial condition) then you must ensure that the TNSNAMES.ora file in workflow Home Builder has an entry for your instance on Linux, and then you should be able to connect to the database directly.

  I use metalink doc 406982.1 for cloning procedures. but I would like to know what I need to stop database or application levels during the preparation of the applications of cloning?
  
  It is not asked to stop any level, while you run adpreclone.pl, which; s why I got confused...
  
  I also did face following error when I tried to update the current information for the snapshot to complete APPL_TOP

  INST_TOP will be created when you run postclone (AutoConfig). If the source and the target instances must be on the same machine, you can differentiate them by the pool at port.

  in fact, I am cloning on the same machine to test the goal, so when I run aclone config / clone will be it create problems?

  There should be no problem, but it is recommended that you clone from another machine.

  How can I then check that cloning is done you corrrectly? Can I open OAM in the web browser using files of applications/clone?

  Once you are done with the clone, make sure that you can access the login page and open the app, enter and query data, do offer programs concurrent (Active users/responsibility), and also you can check the components of the application of OAM.

  where should I set port on which it will open?

  You will be asked to enter the pool of port when you run postclone, and it is defined in the context files.

• OC4J & Oracle Application Server.when which use? relationship between?

  In regards to Java EE platforms, I'm used to working with Sun, Glassfish platforms and Servlet as Tomcat containers.
  
  However, I need some straightening with the application servers Oracle... at least the three things that I called an... application server that is:
  
  • Weblogic server
  • Oracle Application Server
  • OC4J.
  
  I assumed the main specific questions, I have this topic are:
  
  (1) are all Java application servers?
  
  (2) what is the division of labour between all of them? [they all work like servlet containers?]  [or JNDI, etc...?] Or completely overlap their functions... or just partially?
  
  (3) are each one interchangeable [by that I mean: is only used at the time, they work in a hierarchy - for example, if someone wants to use the Oracle application server can use by itself or must they first OC4J?]
  
  
  I have much more difficulty in finding answers to well known topics, [as I am assuming that the use of application servers is]; at least, a much more difficult that I have do to find how to customize the code that I need and other steps down the line.
  I have read a large part of the documentation for these, but many blurs the line between the uses of OC4J and OAS, so what hole in the functionality of the OAS brings WebLogic in the image.

  1. the EM console is a Web application designed to manage the instance and you are allowed to create many OC4J containers according to the needs, think this OC4J as a case of Tomcat, which will have as much FMV to the need (something that still has no BCI).

  2 branch oracle BEA and Weblogic became to be the OAS Java container and they decied to change the name of OAS BCI and they will keep some OAS products and replace other BEA for use in BCI.

  Hi guys,.

  My customer has purchased X 3 new Rack System full Exadata and want to deploy Oracle Application R12.1.3 on server Exalogic as installation Application node 4 with RAC 4 node on Exadata database installation.

  Now, I want you configure installation of the CFP according to customer requirement, at the request of 4 nodes. I already have 2 Installation of the CFP node... Not clear on the installation of the CFP drank in Configuration Apps 4 knots.

  Can you please describe to the configuration of the CFP need to be done on 4-node Configuration of the AppLication. and some fail over scenarios. to test the configuration of the CFP.

  If you are having 4 CM nodes and use PCP, create two CMs for each CM then put in place of the primary and secondary nodes.

  For example, for the standard Manager to create the following:

  Standard Manager1--> main node: Node1, secondary node: Node2

  Standard Manager2--> main node: Node3, secondary node: Node4

  There is no R & D needed. It is impossible to use the interfaces/API to keep the two instances of ebs in sync when they are in a master-master relationship. The number of interfaces, even for a single module (for example, the inventory you mentioned) will be astronomical (sorry for the hyperbole).
  Might be better to look at the architectures of systems tolerant/database error rather than a solution based on the interface.

  I read a lot of doc on FRD (diagnose forms TIME) then I came to know that I have to install oracle apps r12. So I want to ask I'm following right way to diagnose myself over time oracle forms so that I can know his mistake & where he is and why?

  If you want to work with obtaining FRD newspapers and their learning. You can simply connect to an existing EBS enviornment and the work, if it isn't the only option you have is to install EBS and learn the concept of DR.

  Multiple sales in individual sales division is to do before sending it to the Oracle application adapter in BEPL/BSE/OSB. As far as I know Oracle Application adaptation for Peoplesoft has no option available.

  Transformation of splitting can be easily done in BSE/OSB/BPEL.
