  During the installation, we have wrongly given Home Directory Web Application Server like/Ebiz/app/woof/Middleware

  So we changed the Homepage Directory Web Application Server as /ebiz/app/ouaf/Middleware/wlserver_10.3

  I have to create the new mount for client installation point?
  Through the application server, I will access (rac) database server.
  
  I have enough space available in / or root mount point.

  You can install in any desired point of installation/directory. Oracle does not give a flying fig this topic. Just put it somewhere that makes sense.

  I'm trying to clone Oracle 11i (single node) Linux applications, but with some doubts in the process... could someone please help me...
  
  I ran preclone (adpreclone.pl) scripts on both layers of DB and APPL system source... then stop apps services and target the database copy in the system... but my question comes here... they say I should be copy only files of the SUMMITS as APPL_TOP, COMN_TOP, etc. and ORACLE_HOME, IAS_ORACLE_HOME... but these TOPS and HOUSES exist within a directory as...
  

  example:
  APPL_TOP - / dev/p01/oracle/devappl
  COMN_TOP - / devc/p01/oracle/devcomn
  ORACLE_HOME - /dev/p02/oracle/devdb/9.2.0

  by note metalink (230672.1), they say it's to copy...

  your right... that's the real way, manually create the directories and copy them from the source to the target by the metalink (230672.1) note... but I'm worried that I might miss some files in the copy process... I mean are below here are the the only ones required in the process postclone... because if you see the real $ORACLE_HOME (/ dev/p02/oracle/pixdb/9.2.0) to the user oracle is missing... What about the database files? .. .is there all I could mention to facilitate the creation of directories...

  You can just copy the files in the directories devdata, lolo, devappl, devdb, devcomn.

  Also all by creating the directories in this way... If I'm going to use a new name for the instance, do I have to replace the "dev" to the new name as 'edev' or something and then start the postclone process...

  You can use any name for the main mount (it is-to-say/u01 /... or/edev /..), just replace dev with edev for five above mentioned directories.

  I use doc. Metalink ID: 760772.1 to test the R12 cloning when the database and applications still open. I got up to the last step (step 12) which is to configure the target database.
  
  Step 12: Target Configuration of the database (the database must be open)
  
  CD < RDBMS ORACLE_HOME > / appsutil/clone/bin
  Perl adcfgclone.pl dbconfig < context target file >
  
  When the target context file is:
  < RDBMS ORACLE_HOME > /appsutil/ < Target way > .xml
  
  While in step 10:
  
  Step 10: Open database with resetlogs:
  SQL > ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS
  At this point the target database will have been successfully cloned and open.
  
  So I guess I don't need to open the database again, am I right? So I just continue to set up the database, but then I got this error message:
  
  ERROR: Impossible d'executer.../adclone.pl where is the place that make reference to adclone.pl.
  
  I checked < SID > alert_ .log in udump and the last row is completed: ALTER DATABASE OPEN. But in a few lines above it, I found information that tablespace TEMP1 and TEMP2 is not any file inside.
  
  What has gone wrong? Is it because there is no file in the tablespace TEMP1 and TEMP2 and I have to manually create a data file for this tablespace? Are there any other newspaper to look at? Thank you.

  INST_TOP will be created when you run postclone (AutoConfig). If the source and the target instances must be on the same machine, you can differentiate them by the pool at port.

  in fact, I am cloning on the same machine to test the goal, so when I run aclone config / clone will be it create problems?

  There should be no problem, but it is recommended that you clone from another machine.

  How can I then check that cloning is done you corrrectly? Can I open OAM in the web browser using files of applications/clone?

  Once you are done with the clone, make sure that you can access the login page and open the app, enter and query data, do offer programs concurrent (Active users/responsibility), and also you can check the components of the application of OAM.

  where should I set port on which it will open?

  You will be asked to enter the pool of port when you run postclone, and it is defined in the context files.

  Someone please help with this request. I want to have a login to application page where users just enter their login user id and just click the button connection; Once they connect. I have an authorisation procedure which checks against the database for their user id table and redirects to different pages based on their role as defined in the database. If its a user id invalid; the process redirects to the page that is not permitted.

  Is it possible in the apex oracle to connect to the app with just their user name. We use Oracle APEX 4.0.2 version and oracle 10g r2 database.

  Previously, we had the LDAP authentication, which was no - ssl and we do not want to use it, as this will not be the policy of the company. We have tried to establish a SSL connection and create oracle certificate using s/n, but it always takes some time.

  and simply return true without checking the password field. The author, Patrick Barel, gives an example:

  A custom authentication function can do what you want in terms of functionality, as long as it returns true if the authentication is successful or false otherwise.

  Download the 11g ODAC Xcopy installation. It is around 50 MB compressed upward and you offer the minimum installation size possible. It is the smallest possible at this moment production which is taken in charge by Oracle. There is a 32-bit version and 64-bit, depending on the version of your .NET Framework.

  Be on the lookout for the beta of managed provider ODP.NET fate soon. Which will further reduce the size.

I think I have my connection to the repository Designer set up OK and I can choose activities unversioned. When I click on any of my application systems will be shown.
