Vanessac1111111111 are you able to reopen Photoshop using the steps listed in Creative Cloud help | Launch creative apps Cloud?  If this isn't the case, then I recommend using the steps listed in CC Office lists the applications as "up to date" when the no installation not to reinstall Photoshop.

Closing or opening Photoshop Lightroom will not affect your photos.  They are still saved on your hard drive without worrying if Photoshop Lightroom is installed or not.

  • Lighroom opens with a window telling me that the "Lightroom Catalog" is already open is not possible since I just restarted my computer?

Lightroom opens suddenly with a message "you already have open Lightroom Catalog. Close the other version of Lightroom? Never happened before, and master windows task says I have no other lighroom open?

The message says that you have an open CATALOG.

What this means, is that the last time you used Lightroom you don't close properly Lightroom and he left the CATALOGUE in a State "locked."  Maybe the computer crashed, or you just turned off?

    The fix-

First - find out where your catalog is stored.

Open the Explorer/finder on your site CATALOG and delete the file that has a name that ends in "... lrcat.lock."

Do not delete anything! Do NOT delete the file ending by "... lrcat ' (i.e. your catalogue with all your work!)

    Then restart lightroom.

The .lock file is a temporary file that is always created when you open a catalog with Lightroom, to prevent several users the same catalog to open at the same time.

  • 5 Lightroom takes half of my boot disk space.  What can I do to reduce the which?

5 Lightroom takes half of my boot disk space.  What can I do?

    The files include catalog.ircat, ircat-journal, log.ircat.lock, backups, preview.irdata...

The presence of the journal and the locking file indicates that you are trying to pass the folder with Lightroom running.

This is not going to work. Close to Lightroom, and then copy the folder on the external drive.

Once you have all this work, you can delete the original folder.

  • Main catalogue does not close properly.

When I try to close PS Lightroom in my main catalog, the program does not close and watch the ball skippy. I have to force quit the program under Mac OS x to close. This does NOT happen when a different catalog is closed. How can I solve this? I've already updated OS and LR latest versions. I reinstalled LR, but no change. It looks like a problem in my catalog. Thank you.

Thank you for your help. The update today to 6.3 helped solve this problem.

  • Is there a way to re set Lightroom to the original settings, I've been playing with it and got somewhere that I don't know how to get out of... not particularly computer savvu

Is there a way to re set Lightroom to the original settings, I was playing with it and has gotten, somewhere, I don't know how to get out of. Not very computer savvy

    For starters, stop Lightroom

    On Windows, do the following

Click the Windows Start button and in the search box type: -.

    %AppData%\adobe\lightroom

    Then press Return\Enter

This will take you to the folder Lightroom (see image below)

Select the Preferences folder and click on delete to send it to the Recycle Bin.

Close the Lightroom folder, and re-start the Lightroom program.

  • Lightroom 4 launch after that I entered the serial number

I was running the trial version 4 Lightroom for Mac (OS 10.7). After my trial was up, I bought the upgrade (I already had v.3). At the launch of Lightroom 4, request dialogue if I want to buy a serial number or appears. I go through the steps of the entrance to my new serial number (which Lightroom gives a green check mark) and the serial number of my v.3 (also a green checkmark) and go through all subsequent stages of the dialogue.

When I hit the finish, the dialog closes and Lightroom does not launch. The program is not yet active in my dock. If I launch even once, I get the same dialog asking if I have a serial number or want to buy.

I moved this facility Drew forum, where engineers hang out.

In the meantime, just try to remove Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support / Adobe: Lightroom / Lightroom 4.0 registration (which is not the user's library) and see if this fits the Bill.

  • Lightroom to crash when running Photoshop?

I need help!  I am running Windows 7, 4 GB RAM.  When I have the two Photoshop CS4 64 bit and Lightroom 3.3 open 64-bit Lightroom crashes.  At the point where I have close Photoshop, Lightroom is very well.  This is something that has just begun, I use to work with both of them all the time.

    Thanks in advance!

First of all, did you really say PS CS4? Because the PS CS4 and LR 3 are not totally compatible, and you get all the features of LR with CS4.

I don't know if CS4 will cause LR to crash. I worked for a while with CS3 and LR 3 and the two worked, except that CS3 cannot open RAW images processed in LR 3.

It is rather bad information. LR 3 works perfectly well with the CS 4 and CS 3, indeed any version of PS. The only difference between the use of older versions of PS with LR 3 with a CS 5 is that the RAW file must first rendered by LR, rather than be rendered after the CAB using CS5 so that changes made using process 2010 to be embedded in the file. There is no incompatibility once rendered.  For the vast majority of users of the order in which the file is returned when opening PS too is irrelevant.

Don't bother reinstalling LR as it not make any difference. Explorer the real causes of the accident, the Task Manager allows to watch what is happening. It is likely that you have too many applications running and not enough available RAM. Get your hard drive configuration sorted can help, but make sure first that you do not have many things running in the background. You have enough free space on your hard drives and they are fragmented. St your swap file on a separate drive on the OS drive, don't let it be handled by windows and attach it to the amount of 1 1/2 times the physical RAM installed.

Set the cache of RAW for the two bridge and LR in the same place, a separate drive him and if possible give a room, 50 GB or more.

Set the catalog on a separate drive fast as well, all will help with performance.

Turn all windows stuff that slowing down things and the causes of the accidents, indexing in disc is a real problem. Make sure your anti-virus software is not check the LR catalog and disable any background incremental backup software you may have running.

Your system will be perfectly adequate to run LR and PS, however, you can only open one file at a time in PS, open files multiply at the same time can be bad news with limited RAM.

  • Lightroom doesn't open the image in Photoshop CS5, but open PS CS5

I just installed for CS5 and uninstalled CS4.

Now, Lightroom 2.7 trying to "Edit in Photoshop CS5" Photshop CS5 does not open, but the image that I'm trying to edit does not open in PS - CS5.  Photoshop just open and image from Lightroom is not present.

Looking at previous discussions, I tried the solution:

    1. Mac OS

On Mac OS, try the following solutions in the order:

Solution 1: Rebuild the Photoshop plist file.

    1. Close Photoshop Lightroom.
    2. Go to the users / file [username] / LIbrary/Preferences.
    3. Drag the file com.adobe.Photoshop.plist to the trash.
    4. Launch Photoshop. Photoshop will recreate the plist file.

I've upgraded LR, Mac OS and MCS for all current versions

Other ideas for LR2.7 and PS CS5 to work together again?

    Thank you

You should try to remove the file from Lightroom preferences. It is in the same place that one but Photoshop Lightroom in the name. Also, you to update Camera Raw in Photoshop?

  • Why won´t LR CC import mp4 videos produced by first pro CC

LR will stop just to import (mp4 h.264 codec).

When I import chorus and close lightroom LR process does not complete.

Closes in Lightroom, but the process is still active and I must kill him via the Task Manager.

I could import the video files (well some of them) in an earlier version of LR, but not now.

It is too asked that LR supports the most common video formats?
