    Vista business to Windows XP Professional? Yes. Right of demotion OEM desktop operating systems PC apply to Windows Vista business and Windows Vista Edition full, as stated in the terms of the license. If you want Windows XP Pro on a new machine, Windows Vista (Business or Ultimate), and then downgrade
    I don't know how many people is aware of this, but if you buy a Windows Vista Business or Ultimate then you can use a Windows XP CD (that you have legal access to) to load Windows XP on this machine.

    When you need the product key / or need to activate, it will potentially fail, but a simple call to with your Vista product key activation center should give you all the details you need. Then, when you're ready to put Vista on this machine, you can do without the purchase of this new cost. Alternatively, you can buy Windows XP today and if you want to load Vista, you can give more money to a store for a copy again.

    Hello

    First of all thanks for the information on the downgrade of the OEM of Windows version.

    I bought my Satellite with Vista and it would be nice that I would get a XP for free.

    But to be honest I'm not really sure if Microsoft will activate Win XP after buying the Vista operating system. But who knows, maybe you should say with the support of Microsoft.

    To my knowledge, you will not get any additional operating system from Toshiba, but only the Toshiba Recovery CD.
    Each Toshiba laptop has been delivered with the recovery CD that contains the Microsoft operating system (XP or Vista), drivers Toshiba and utilities.

    That's all. If you lose the recovery CD, you can order the same CD/DVD with the same operating system of the authorized Toshiba service provider!

    But like I said above, a retirement details you should specify it with MS is supported.

    If you get more information from MS, please report it here in this thread. It s interesting theme.

    Hi, I just bought a laptop from HP 15 f024-wm.  It runs 8.1 64-bit Windows. Intel Pentium 3520 N.   The problem I have is that I've recently updated my bios to f.13 and now my keyboard skips letters. You can restore the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings or rollback. Restore default BIOS is necessary, if it does not give you the possibility of restoration.

    I have only one installation of Windows 7 disk and want to make sure that I could use it incase if my computer goes down / gets corrupted / ect. Since I formatted acccidently my OEM drive when I take away a lot of partitions, I did.

    My computer:

    Model: HP 2000 Notebook PC

    Additional info: my computer came with Windows 8 64-bit pre-installed.

    Hello:

    First of all, make your game of W8 recovery discs before proceeding.

    All the W7 x 64 drivers of this Associates model should work on yours.

    The driver is missing (and is for any laptop AMD) and it's the chipset driver that installs the SMBus Controller and the USB 3.0 controller.

    You should download and install this driver first and then restart. First download listed is what you need.

    http://support.AMD.com/us/gpudownload/Windows/pages/raid_windows.aspx#2

    Then install the graphics driver and restart, then install the audio driver and restarted.

  • Can I downgrade to windows 7 to 8.1

    I have a HP Pavilion notebook 15-n083sa and I have some problems to connect to man through a program called hamachi, I've done everything on this laptop (with windows 8.1 on) and nothing works. Then I tried to plug it into my other laptop with windows 7 and I could easily connect. I was wondering, can I downgrade from windows 8.1 for windows 7.

    Thanks in advance

    WARNING *.

    HP does not recommend installing Windows 7 on a consumer computer comes with Windows 8, and it will support the installation of Windows 7. HP doesn't provide drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer. In addition, Windows 7 can not take in charge some of the hardware or software designed for the computer.

    Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

    You can buy a copy of Windows 7 with a certificate of authenticity and a valid product key of Windows 7. You will need to DISABLE "Secure Boot" and perhaps ENABLE 'Legacy Support' in the 'Configuration of the BIOS start-up secured' on the settings page similar to what is shown below, until you try to install Windows 7.

    or

    Also, as the hard drive is probably partitioned as TPG, you must start the computer by using the "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" or "UEFI - USB Flash drive" options in the boot menu "F9". If "UEFI - CD/DVD drive", "UEFI - USB Flash drive" or something to that effect does not exist in the start menu, please post a screenshot and/or make startup listed options.

    I suggest using Windows 7 SP1 for the best installation experience. If you need Windows SP1, see 'How to install Windows 7 without the disc' to download and create your own disc of Windows 7 SP1. If the DVD does not start as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (can ask "Quick start" DISABLING in BIOS) as the installation media. Please download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a Windows 7 SP1 USB Flash drive. Please note that some computers may not recognize a valid active UEFI USB Flash drive if it is formatted in NTFS and may require only a FAT32 formatted USB Flash drive. You should be able to make a FAT32 formatted Windows 7 installation USB Flash drive using Rufus, UNetbootin, Universal USB Installeror WiNToBootic. I like Rufus, because it contains options for 'Plan of GPT partition for UEFI computer' and 'FAT32'.

  • I hate windows 8 can I downgrade to windows7

    I bought envy dv6 with windows8 on and I hate it can I downgrade to windows7 without void my warranty? Can I use the windows drivers 8

    Hello:

    As if by chance, there is no info on the page of product for your PC specifications.

    I see an AMD 7670 M driver for the video card.

    Since I don't see the chipset drivers, I assume that you have an AMD chipset, correct?

    I think you can use most of the drivers from the below thread.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-e-g/Windows-7-drivers-for-G7-2246nr/m-p/2190801#M117932

    If you encounter a rough sea, just after the ID of the missing devices hardware.

    Look in your device manager for the model of the wireless card you have and let know what it is.

    I think you can get most, if not all of the hardware for W7 running.

  • Can I downgrade to XP for free?

    Is there a way to descend the slope to xp for free?

    I just had to put in a new main board processor since then vista simply does not just matter what I do I can't fix it.

    So yes, I would really like to go back to XP

    There are No. free installation for XP instead using Vista, unless you meet the following criteria:

    Can I downgrade my OEM version of Windows Vista business to Windows XP Professional?

    Yes. Right of demotion OEM desktop operating systems PC apply to Windows Vista business and Windows Vista Edition full, as stated in the terms of the license. Please note, downgrade versions OEM Windows Vista business and Windows Vista Ultimate are limited to Windows XP Professional (including Windows XP Edition Tablet PC and Windows XP x 64 edition). There is no right of demotion for Windows Vista Home Basic or Windows Vista Edition Home Premium.

    If the above applies, contact your OEM computer manufacturer.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the above does not apply:
    Come on first, site of the manufacturer of your computer, check to see if your model computer has XP drivers available for it...
    If the XP drivers are not available for your model, forget the idea.
    If Yes, download and save to a CD or Flash drive.
    Then buy a disc XP and license.
    Save all your data because it will be lost during the installation of XP.
    Then follow the steps below to do a clean install.
    http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sg_clean.asp
    Once installed, reload ALL your other programs of original media, or download again.
    Reload all drivers and utilities for your motherboard.
