I hate windows 8 can I downgrade to windows7

I bought envy dv6 with windows8 on and I hate it can I downgrade to windows7 without void my warranty? Can I use the windows drivers 8

Hello:

As if by chance, there is no info on the page of product for your PC specifications.

I see an AMD 7670 M driver for the video card.

Since I don't see the chipset drivers, I assume that you have an AMD chipset, correct?

I think you can use most of the drivers from the below thread.

http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-e-g/Windows-7-drivers-for-G7-2246nr/m-p/2190801#M117932

If you encounter a rough sea, just after the ID of the missing devices hardware.

Look in your device manager for the model of the wireless card you have and let know what it is.

I think you can get most, if not all of the hardware for W7 running.

The driver is missing (and is for any laptop AMD) and it's the chipset driver that installs the SMBus Controller and the USB 3.0 controller.

You should download and install this driver first and then restart. First download listed is what you need.

  • Can I downgrade to windows 7 to 8.1

I have a HP Pavilion notebook 15-n083sa and I have some problems to connect to man through a program called hamachi, I've done everything on this laptop (with windows 8.1 on) and nothing works. Then I tried to plug it into my other laptop with windows 7 and I could easily connect. I was wondering, can I downgrade from windows 8.1 for windows 7.

    Thanks in advance

    WARNING *.

HP does not recommend installing Windows 7 on a consumer computer comes with Windows 8, and it will support the installation of Windows 7. HP doesn't provide drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer. In addition, Windows 7 can not take in charge some of the hardware or software designed for the computer.

Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

You can buy a copy of Windows 7 with a certificate of authenticity and a valid product key of Windows 7. You will need to DISABLE "Secure Boot" and perhaps ENABLE 'Legacy Support' in the 'Configuration of the BIOS start-up secured' on the settings page similar to what is shown below, until you try to install Windows 7.

    or

Also, as the hard drive is probably partitioned as TPG, you must start the computer by using the "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" or "UEFI - USB Flash drive" options in the boot menu "F9". If "UEFI - CD/DVD drive", "UEFI - USB Flash drive" or something to that effect does not exist in the start menu, please post a screenshot and/or make startup listed options.

I suggest using Windows 7 SP1 for the best installation experience. If you need Windows SP1, see 'How to install Windows 7 without the disc' to download and create your own disc of Windows 7 SP1. If the DVD does not start as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (can ask "Quick start" DISABLING in BIOS) as the installation media. Please download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a Windows 7 SP1 USB Flash drive. Please note that some computers may not recognize a valid active UEFI USB Flash drive if it is formatted in NTFS and may require only a FAT32 formatted USB Flash drive. You should be able to make a FAT32 formatted Windows 7 installation USB Flash drive using Rufus, UNetbootin, Universal USB Installeror WiNToBootic. I like Rufus, because it contains options for 'Plan of GPT partition for UEFI computer' and 'FAT32'.

Please report to the Windows Device Manager "Hardware ID" for all devices missing or unknown, as shown in the example below.

    Hello

Win7 for XP > install XP on a Partition different for example E: partition. You can see under 'Computer' C:, E: or F: partitions. Windows will not be downgraded to the same partition.

If Win 7 took all the space and then reduce it to create the United Nations space partitioned. How to do? Type "compmgmt.msc" on start it > search.

Access storage disks and see the partitions. Right click on the C: partition (it could be different, must first ensure) that contains the Windows 7 system. then select "shrink"...  Enter the size to reduce for example of 50 GB.

Insert the XP cd and select "install a new copy.

Follow the instructions: and where you are prompted to select the partition to install to., select "UN partitioned space. It will be formatted everything first installation can continue.

Note: Anyone considering a downgrade to XP must check to ensure that a * comprehensive set of drivers XP * is available for the material in question before trying to install XP.

Another consideration as possible: If the computer in question is under a manufacturer's warranty, the owner can check with the manufacturer to find out if the guarantee is meant by changing the operating system.

    It will be useful.

Can a system pre-installed with Windows Vista be manually downgraded to Windows XP?

No, you can't downgrade. But you can probably * clean install * Windows XP.

I say "probably" because there is a potential problem with drivers XP being available for all hardware. If the computer is a laptop, this risk is greater. So check with the manufacturer or on their web site to make sure that all the drivers you need do not exist for XP.

There is no such thing as a downgrade to Windows XP. You had to make a
new installation of Windows XP. Exactly how did you do?

Thus, Windows 7 Pro is on the machine.

"So?" Why you say that it is on the machine? How do you know? Or what makes
Do you not? It probably isn't.

You do not have to be equipped with Windows 7 to install Microsoft Office
2010. as long as you have Windows XP SP3, it can run 32-bit Office
    2010.

  • I hate windows 8. How can I uninstall it and loading windows 7

I just bought an HP computer and it came with Windows 8, responsible on this issue. I tried 6 tasks in the past three weeks and each of them was a pain in the thigh. I had problems to the administrator, compatibility issues unique to other tray printer issues and much more. It is simply not worthy of the effort. Should I return the computer and buy a new one with Windows 7, or should I buy a copy of 7 and load it on top of this mess?

You will first need to go to the website of manufacturers for your model computer and first find out if there are native drivers in Windows 7. A large number of computers that are preloaded with Windows 8 have no native driver support for Windows 7 by the manufacturer. If there is no native driver, you will need to consider returning the machine and buying a machine preloaded with Windows 8 Pro with downgrade rights to Windows 7 Professional. Or look through the catalogue of manufacturers for systems already preloaded with Windows 7, usually the business sector will have these options.

  • I hate Windows Vista!

I hate Windows Vista!  I was forced to buy Vista after the death of my laptop with Windows XP.  Since I bought my new computer with Vista I have not used because the program I need to work will not.  I have a version student CS3 Adobe Creative Suite which offers, photoshop, indesign and illustrator.  The program that I have problems with is Photoshop.  When I double click to open the program, it starts to load then an error message comes and and said "a problem caused blocking the program works correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.  Once this error message nothing happens.  I brought my computer to Best Buy and they uninstalled then reinstalled the system operating that seemed to work but after a few weeks the same error message popped up.  I took it back to Best Buy and they did the same thing.  He worked for a few weeks and again once I get the same error message and I have not used your computer for due to frustration.  I don't understand why it works then leaves after a few weeks.  If I didn't have enough space on my computer, then it should not work in the first place.  I tried to uninstall other programs Adobe to see if photoshop would work on its own, but it changed nothing.  Any suggestions?  Is it possible that I can buy a Windows XP operating system?

Is the problem that the Windows task bar is hidden by the Firefox window, or that changes to the taskbar make it impossible to change the windows?

If the taskbar are hidden by Firefox, it is possible that Firefox is in full screen mode. The F11 key toggles between full screen and normal views.

Another potential problem is that Firefox sometimes seems to collect data of erroneous screen size of the operating system and that the window of Firefox too large. You can rename the relevant settings file to see if that helps.

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?
