• Save a PDF review

  Hi all

  I'm just enter Extendscript for FM 12 so patient with me.

  I found the FM_Outputs_CondText file that does everything I need to do to share because I want the file to be saved as a PDF review. I found the FCodes.KBD_SAVEASPDFREVIEW command and you can get it to open the Save as dialog box. However, I can't for the life of understand me how to interact with this. Any ideas on how I can get the following process:

  1: apply the text conditional show/hide (included in FM_Outputs_CondText)

  2: the file name of output change (depends on how step 3)

  3: Save as pdf to review

  4: move to the next text conditional show/hide (included in FM_Outputs_CondText)

  Any suggestions what to do or where to look would be amazing.

  Choose Acrobat (Mac) or edit (Win) > Preferences > Online Services Adobe (or just banking Acro X and earlier versions).

  Disconnect and connect under a different ID to Adobe.

  If your comment is entirely local, change the setting in the preferences > identity.

• Acrobat 8 Pro shared PDF review

  Hello

  What is the function of shared review in Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional version 8.1.0, running on Windows 7.

  I could use this feature at a time to form a PDF compatible review shared, but I accidentally deleted the XMLs associated from the shared folder. Since then, usage review & comment > Send for shared review option, Acrobat does not go beyond step 1: select the shared location of the shared review process. Even if step 3: invite reviewers is reached on the selection of the default options, the process is never beyond.

  Tried troubleshooting by using different paths to the shared location, using different folders, restore deleted XMLs, but nothing has worked. Same repair facilities Acrobat or editing registry also had no effect. Is there no solution/patch/work around for the problem above?

  Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 7.

• How can I make background images (in classes < p >) appear as PDF review?

  I have in my stylesheet, < p > classes of notes, tips, examples and warnings. Each has a background image.

  The images show the outputs but not in the previews, or review PDF files (review |) Create PDFS for review...).

  Is there a way to make these images appear?

  There's no way I know. You have the same problem with paper records. The background image do not appear there either. Please log a bug with Adobe report: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform&product=38

• How to restore the shared PDF review comment?

  Review of the backups shared the comment in the XML files. If I lose the comments, how to restore back to PDF comments?

  I have try the two comment and importation of form data using the XML file, but nothing appears. It seems only works FDF or XFDF file. Should I convert the XML FDF or XFDF file? If so, how?

  Acrobat is not importing the XML file directly which is used in the process of shared review.  Try to build the importable files, is not enough anyway.  I wouldn't recommend this, but you can do it by hand using the XML data in the correct file for correct import syntax, but you must be familiar with the FDF or XFDF file format.  Otherwise if you are familiar with XSLT and to make the changes, you should be able to do that way too with a custom application.

• Conditional tags to build in RoboHelp 9 PDF review output?

  It's not like it is possible to exclude conditional text of the release of the new revision PDF feature in RoboHelp 9. (Review > create PDF for review.) Is this correct?

• How can I get Tracker to find a shared review, THAT PDF initiated in another area?

  I initiated a shared for a PDF review and stored on a network server in the domain X. Subseqauently, the server has been moved to another area, call it Y.

  Now, Tracker of Acrobat cannot find the PDF file... and reviewers can no longer access the PDF.

  How can I me Tracker to find the PDF file in the new domain Y?

  No, this is not possible. You must run the test again. This is because the review server information are embedded in the PDF file and when you change the server of the review, the JavaScript embedded in PDF format is still referring to the old server. Tracker is so impossible to locate the PDF review.

  If the old review the comments of the other reviewers, you can save it as an archive and start the review on the new server on this new PDF. This way all the review comments may be stored in the PDF file, but they will be published "on behalf of" the initiator now.

• Point culminating/bar, do not sync with other devices via Document Cloud

  I have a PDF file do I put highlight and bar changes to 3 devices using all the drive of DC, iPad, iPhone and Macbook. Highlights and bar changes will save to be reviewed on this same device later but never seems to sync to the cloud of document and will appear on other devices. Almost seems as if I had 3 copies of the same document that each have their own observations but saved as a single file appears in the clouds of document. I am connected to Document Cloud on all devices using the same account.

  Hi akmcafee,

  Looks like you have multiple copies of the PDF document on your computer/device.

  Would try you the following steps?

  1. Rename all the copies local to something else.
  2. Make sure that you connect.
  3. Select "Document cloud" for the location of the file.
  4. Open the individual cloud PDF document in Acrobat Reader on your MacBook or iPad/iPhone.
  5. Add the highest point, bar and other annotations to the document cloud.
  6. Back to My Documents.  This forces Acrobat to close the PDF document and save changes.

  

  You see the message of toast on the document being saved (as shown above)?

  If you do not see the message of toast, this means that your changes are not saved correctly in the document of cloud.  Can you try a few other documents different clouds and follow the same steps?  (This will help us to determine if the problem occurs only with a PDF or any other PDF documents.)

  You would open the same document of clouds from another computer or device to see the new changes?  Please make sure you open a PDF document in the Document cloud section (not Local or recent).

• Kindle is bad in the conversion of PDF files into MOBI files.  Adobe has a better way?

  I would like to read Adobe PDFs on my Kindle.  (The Kindle versions that use e - ink have the advantage that they can be read in full sun on my lawn).  Normally, to read a PDF file, I simply email it to your Kindle, with the object of "convert".   The problem is that with the scientific articles that have equations and illustrations, the results are often poor.  Moreover, even with regular PDF files, I can get titles that are somehow in the middle of a paragraph, or phrases that suddenly have a sentence fragment another among them.

  I do not own an Adobe product, (apart from the drive shipped free in the browser of Microsoft Edge), but there are perhaps better converters out there.  MOBI is very similar to HTML and so I could save a PDF file as HTML in certain adobe products, and then send the result by e-mail to my Kindle (with a subject line of convert), and maybe I would get better results.

  What is the best solution (apart from complaining to Amazon) on it?

  In fact there is no need to convert a PDF file to a Kindle format. Apart from there being no methodology 'clean' for all Kindle devices can make the PDFs.

  Registered Kindle owner can send a PDF on Kindle (with no conversion) e-mail account free of charge.

  Or transfer the PDF file to the desktop or laptop computer via a USB cable.

  Done as well for the keyboard Kindle, the white paper, the fire of first-generation Tablet & the generation current Tablet of fire.

  For fire tablets install Adobe Reader Mobile to view the PDF files. More versatile than native PDF Viewer that comes with the Kindle and you gives access to free file management with Adobe Document Cloud - PDF Services.

• Yosemite Mac (OSX): Change my name of author on pdf comments?

  How can I permanently change my name from the author on my pdf reviews? I'm going in circles with preferences. Nothing has worked.

  -Under Edit - Preferences - his comments, clear the check box that says "use the name log-in for the name of the author.

  -Now, create a new comment, right click and select Properties.

  -Change the value of the author field name that you want to use.

  -Check the box that says 'Make default properties' in the same properties dialog box.

  -Close the Properties window.

  -Create a new comment. It must have the name of the author, you have entered by default.

• Is there a way acrobat sends an e-mail when comments are published in a shared review?

  Is it possible to achieve that acrobat sends an e mail to the creator when the observations are published in a shared review?

  I send you the files of shared review and I would like to receive any notification that some of the commentators has published his comments. How I achieve that?
