Cannot delete the folder (access denied / authorization to administrator)
Recently, after a good 6 months to give a fair chance to Windows 8, I decided to reinstall Windows 7 on my laptop. Installation went very well, no problems (it's the original operating system on this machine). When I installed 7 I didn't format my drive, and so all my files/directories have been moved to the Windows.old folder. I had already backed up everything so I tried to delete the record and was invited to give permission to the administrator. I clicked through and received the error message: you need permission from TrustedInstaller to make changes to this file.
I know that this problem is everywhere, but before dismiss you this as a pointless post, that's what I tried (unsuccessfully) solve this problem:> Delete manually CMD with elevated privileges (no results, "access denied" after each item has been deleted in vain)> Turn off UAC (no change)> Delete using Shift + Delete to bypass the Recycle Bin> Add a DWORD value in the registry (UseSystemForSystemFolders)> Start in safe mode with CMD prompt, could not remove with CMD or via Explorer> Activate the hidden administrator account and remove using the Explorer/CMD> Change the folder permissions, raise my account permissions and creating a new user name or the group with my account with full accessI spent the best part of 24 hours trying to solve this problem. I would like to avoid reinstalling Windows because I had already transferred 200 GB of data on my computer before I realized it was a problem. Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for the reply. I totally forgot to include Unlocker on my list of failed attempts. It has disabled a lock that was in place, but has not changed and he could not remove the file. I tried to move the folder into a zip file too, so I could delete just that but while I am able to move the folder on my drive hard I can't move it to a zip archive.

MSCONFIG - access denied, must be logged on as administrator
When I run MSCONFIG, I get a message "Access denied, must be logged on as administrator to make changes" when I get out of it. If I make a change, the change takes effect, so this isn't really "deny" me anything. However, I get the message if I make a change or not. By doing a few google' ing/forum tedious reading, it seems that there is a cut with Windows XP and Norton Internet Security 2010/2011. It apparently does not on Windows 7 or Vista, or with NIS 2009. It prevents me from doing anything, it's just a major nuisance. I would like to check if this is the issue I'm having. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

"Access denied" for the administrator
I have only my account (like my name and "Computer administrator") and the comments "the guest account is disabled. Even with that, I get "Access denied" when I try to delete the "System Volume Information" (has two verses in the archive according to my antivirus software). What is the next step to the top of "Computer administrator" who will make me even better access. I really want to be the boss of this thing, not the tail which is moved.
System Volume Information is a protected operating system file, and users cannot remove it. It can contain files created by System Restore . To remove content System Volume Information , turn off System Restore , then turn on again. That will delete all restore points, then create a new one.
Note that infections in System Volume Information cannot become active and cause damage to the system unless you intentionally run the system restore and restore the system to a date and hour earlier.

I'm working on a given HP computer where the administrator was already settled by those who have set up the system when it was given. Now, I am trying to perform an action that requires me to use the program of scheduled tasks. I have problems with passwords and user ID. It defaults to the Userid of the machine number/administrator. I put the password when asked, but I was rejected when I finished to complete the scheduled task that I perfom. The scheduled task, I wanted to do was simply to have iTunes launch and play a song both partiucular. After completing all the details, I must click on 'Apply' or 'OK' and then I get an another dialog box asking that I get the password once more. I enter the password I put at the beginning when the application Assistant came on - but I get access denied - and the error number 0 x 80070005. Help, please. For security, Windows Vista and later does not execute administrators has full administrator rights. In some situations, it is necessary to start the program that you want to use with privileges to administrator, right click and select "run as Administrator".

File access denied to administrator in Windows 7
My Windows 7 crashed.
I need to reset a number of data files in my application data folders. However I can not open these files as "access denied" for example
C:\Users\
\AppData\Local\Application data is not accessible. Access is denied. Same "access denied" documents and settings, history, temporary internet files, cookies etc. {edit: and LOCAL SETTINGS - this becomes criticism - please help!}
I tried:
PROPERTIES > TAB SECURITY - administrator has grayed out still not allow ticks against all - access folders
RESET the DEFAULT SECURITY settings - according to the alternative for Vista - still no access to recordsHelp, please.
These are the points of junction : hidden, protected operating system files that are not supposed to be accessed by users.
Each of them points to a folder that is accessible to the user:Application Data - C:\Users\{user name} \AppData\Roaming
Cookies - name C:\Users\{user} \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies
History - name C:\Users\{user} \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\History
Locale - name C:\Users\{user} \AppData\Local
My Documents - C:\Users\{user name} \Documents
NetHood - C:\Users\{user name} \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Network shortcuts
Print neighborhood - C:\Users\{user name} \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Printer shortcuts

I have administrator privileges, but when I run CHKDSK it says access denied due to insufficient privileges. You have to invoke this utility in elevated mode.
How can I fix it?
Hello
1. what prompted to run chkdsk on your computer?
To work with this problem, refer to these methods.
Method 1:
I suggest that you disable the antivirus software temporarily and try to run chkdsk on your computer.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software
Warning:
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.Method 2:
You can check disk errors using the command-line of the system recovery options in Windows 7.
What are the system recovery options in Windows 7?
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-7
To open the System Recovery Options, see the section: to open the menu system on your computer Recovery Options
Important: when running chkdsk on the drive hard if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.
Check if it helps.

Access denied on a "documents and settings" folder in windows 7 with administrator rights
I get access denied on the ' c: \documents and settings "in windows 7 with administrator rights. The icon shows a small lock on the (very cute) folder. Permissions indicate full control to the folder. I can only access the contents of the folder by adding it to the library folder. The computer is fairly recent and is very near of the original factory. Unlike my precious computers I left it mostly original except for the odd new program. I never really noticed when it pops up as I was getting used to format windows 7 and thought that it must be "the new way" to 7 " The disk has been partitioned by Asus, which significantly added to the confusion. Now I think that it why documents and settings would be in the same folder anyway? What is a level administrator uber folder? Any ideas greatly appreciated.
"Documents and Settings" are not a folder - it's a junction Point.
It is there to allow legacy applications using the latest Windows 7 folder structure.
There is nothing in what you can use.
See here for more information about Junction Points:

"Application Data" is a symbolic link pointing to "Appdata" which you should be able to open without any problems.
