CMS and domain names

If I create a Web site for a client using Muse and grant permissions to change - will still be able to do if the site is downloaded via the FTP option to their own domain and hosting company? I would still pay for the site and also upload adobe on the catalyst for business.

Lesley

Hi Lesley

You can create the site of Muse and publish in British Colombia. In the browser edition is limited to BC at the current stage, browser both edition can be used only when the site is published in BC.

About domain, you can publish the site, and then add the domain for the published site.

  • Home computer laptop running Vista requires user name, password, and domain name to connect to my home network?

I've had this laptop for 3 years with no problems. One day last week when I tried to connect to my network home as usual, I get a message saying: more information needed, and he asks user name and PW domain name. All other wireless devices work as usual, only my Vista laptop. I never set it to connect to a domain. If I try to manually remove and reconnect to the network I get the same error. How can I remove this domain setting so I can connect to my home network as usual?

  • FTP download and the hierarchy of folders and domain names

I use GoDaddy as my web hosting provider. They are about eight of my domain names. One of these domain names is the ftp host or the root domain, called idlefreevt.org. I created a site for it.  I want to create several sites within one of these other areas, called waynemichaud.com. I want to call "bikeride", "rufus", "mom99", etc. How can I do this using either the download part of the functionality of the host FTP or FileZilla? I tried to do this on my own and get the dreaded "forbidden". I read some of this useful document but still need help.

  • PowerCLI Script to change the DNS servers and domain name

    Hello

Brand new to PowerCLI, I'm trying to create a script that will change the domain name and the DNS servers of my ESXi servers. I found that I need to update the Vmware.Vim.HostDnsConfig to update these settings. I created the following script and the following error.

    $config = new-Object VMware.Vim.HostDnsConfig
    $config.domainName = "new.domain.com".
    $config.address = new-Object System.String [] (2)
    $config.address [0] = "10.69.69.80".
    $config.address [1] = "10.69.70.80".

    _this $ = get-view-Id "HostNetworkSystem-networkSystem.

    _this $. UpdateDnsConfig ($config)

You can not call a method on a null value expression.

    Line: 1 char: 23

    + $_C. UpdateDnsConfig < < < < ($config)

    + CategoryInfo: InvalidOperation: (UpdateDnsConfig:String)], RuntimeException

    + FullyQualifiedErrorId: InvokeMethodOnNull

I guessed the error message that I need to a value in the host name, I do not need to change the host name. So I create a variable to remove the host name and place it in the $config. Line received host name but still a mistake because the variable is pulling more information that I need.

    $hostname = get-VMHost | Select name

    $config. Hostname = $hostname

When I insert the above code I have an error.

Exception by calling 'UpdateDnsConfig' with '1' or the arguments: ' year error occurred during the configuration of the host.
    Line: 1 char: 23
    + $_C. UpdateDnsConfig < < < < ($config)
    + CategoryInfo: NotSpecified: (:)) [], MethodInvocationException)
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId: DotNetMethodException

When I look at the $config I see the following.

    DHCP: false
    VirtualNicDevice:
    HostName: @{Name = ESXI01}
    Domain name: new.domain.com
    Address: {10.69.69.80, 10.69.70.80}
    SearchDomain:
    DynamicType:
    DynamicProperty:

Of course the @{Name = ESXI01} will not work. Someone can explain how to get a host name in a variable and pass it to the Config.Hostname?

You should be able to do easily by using the command "set-vmhostnetwork.

I don't think that you can just write to VMWare.Vim.HostDnsConfig.

  • Change of host and domain name ownership virtual vCenter Server... issues to know?

Looking to change the name and domain membership of our vCenter server v4.0 virtual host\system to harmonize them with the rest of our servers and make it consistent with our security policy.  Are there things I should be aware to allow migration of fluids before, during or after the change of name and the field?  The vCenter server is a unique system that hosts all the necessary services and applications for vCenter, so there is not a second box that he speaks for something out of control two ESX servers for the cluster on which it resides.

Yes... Especially in vSphere where there is no license server is all the function key.  I don't foresee any problems.  But if you use a license server may want to change your license IP source if it is not already.

You can also simply restart the vpx on your ESX host agents if you see weird problems

What will you do with JCIFS?
Have you read the note here: http://jcifs.samba.org/src/docs/ntlmhttpauth.html

We started with JCIFS, but since they are about to give up their filter in favor, we went to SPNEGO (SourceForge).

  • The fields 'Name' and 'Domain' to 'DNS and routing configuration/host Identification' are always in gray

In VI3, I used to change the settings of the host DNS (host and domain name) to the tab 'DNS and routing' - & gt; "Identification of home." Even more, if the DNS and DHCP are configured correctly in the environment, there is no need to set these values manually - they were discovered automatically. The story is defferent in vSphere 4. I still have the set of fields 'Name' by 'localhost' and 'Domain' field is empty. And I can't change them - they are grey.

Seems that the host is still able to discover its hostname automatically. I see the proper name in the (left pane of vSphere Client) console tree. But these values are not met the 'DNS and routing' tab and I can't put them manually.

This is normal and how do I use these fields now?

Yes, you're right. It's a little strange, but it works this way in vSphere now.

  • Cannot add hosts by COMPLETE domain name

    Hello

I have a vCenter 5 and that you try to add my 5 ESXi hosts using their host name or the FULL domain name, but it fails.

I can add by IP addresses without any problem.

I checked the DNS and is very good resolution.

The hosts, Netbios and DOMAIN name resolves the IP address.

even a reverse search with-a on intellectual property returns the correct hostname

    What can be the problem?

Check if your vCenter is in your DNS reverse lookup zone

  • Windows Virtual PC integrated with components lock me out of my WinXP - error of OEM comments - "the system could not log. Make sure that your user name and domain are correct... »

With my new desktop Windows 7 hardware configuration, I decided (before you consider VMware Player) to retry Windows Virtual PC; but instead of using Windows XP Mode (which is useless because the disk is inaccessible), I decided to use my own Windows XP Pro OEM. [I use it for games that won't play on Win7.  Security issues are also irrelevant, because for these games, I'm not likely to use the Web.  Of course, I always Windows Security Essentials in my OEM customers.]

The problem here is, whenever I have to Activate my integration, features VPC opens as if the Windows XP Mode have been installed (it is not); and when the screen is turned on, it asks my user name and password.  I tried to use the name and the password that I entered when installing my XP OEM; but I get this message:

"The system could not log.  Make sure that your user name and domain are correct.  Type your password again.  Letters in passwords must be entered using the proper case. »

How is it that I can't access my Windows XP OEM guest when the integration features are enabled?  Only when they are disabled can I activate my OS; invited but it's counterproductive, because I won't be able to move items from my host in my comments.  Once more, if I should decide to use VPC as my host VM for Linux Ubuntu/Kubuntu, what chance is there that the activation of the integration features will lock out me my Linux guest?

Another thing: in the Start Menu under Windows Virtual PC folder I have shortcuts for ' Windows Virtual PC ' or 'Virtual Machines' (according to the Win7 version I use, 32-bit or 64-bit); but I also have "Windows XP Mode", I have not installed.  How is that possible?  I checked the shortcut, and point it to rundll32.exe.  Should I just get rid of the shortcut, or I will incur damage to my VPC if I do?

  • Difference between "Home network" and "Business Network" WITHOUT a domain name in Windows 7?

I'm paranoid and always try to choose security options more high.  In preparation for the implementation of a small Windows 7 network behind a NAT router wireless and wired, I'm working through "Microsoft Windows 7 in depth" by Cowart and Knittel (what, rights of copyright 2010).  I fell right on the following steps (mentioned verbatim in p. 446-447), that I don't understand.  (The steps are clear enough but the real difference between the first two choices is not.) :

«.. . Click on change settings, click Network ID...  You are prompted to select the option that best describes your computer:

    • This computer belongs to a network of business; I use it to connect to other computers at work.
    • This computer is a computer at home; It is not part of a corporate network.

«That one you choose made a significant difference...»  If you choose the option "Business Network", Windows configures your computer for a better level of security it will be for domestic use [my underlining].  The wizard then asks you choose one of the following responses:

    • My company uses a network with a domain name
    • My company uses a network without a domain name

«.. . If you build your own network as described in this chapter, select a field, then click Next.  The last question asks a name for the network working group.  Leaving the WORKING group by default in place".

It seems that you can set up a "Business Network" 'without a domain' that outward behaves as a similar "home network".  If Yes, what is this 'higher standard of security' that will result? -JCW2

There is only one difference between home network and profiles work that appears when you sign in for the 1st time.

A profile of home network allows to create or join a homegroup, on a job profile that you can not. So what it means actually using the term "business" is false and the differences in security are limited.

One of the limitations of a workgroup can access one action requires the credentials of all users to set up on the host pc, setting up a homegroup automatically creates a common user between computers that could be considered a low security setting...
