  • DataGuard for oracle database applications...

    Hello world

    I got a new task on the protection of data for oracle applications configuration. I did it for the database.

    Is it possible to configure the protection of data for oracle apps? In the affirmative, please send me the details or the docs... Thanks in advance...

    Thank you
    R

    In my own understanding, data hold is at the level of the database not not at the application level. If you just need to keep your data compared to the level of the database.

  • Options for Oracle GoldenGate and Oracle Data Guard

    Hello

    Please give me suggestions on Oracle GoldenGate vs Oracle DataGuard? Based on the options, I choose for the implementation

    Thanks in advance

    Thank you
    Vincent

    Hello

    Oracle Dataguard:

    1 primary and Standby Database must be the same. (But 11g, it supports Heteregenous Data Guard Configurations. Example: We can imeplement Oracle Data Guard between Oracle Linux 6.2 Server (x86_64) and Microsoft Windows 2008 Server R2 (x 64)

    2 oracle Database version should be same in source and target

    3. no additional license required for Oracle Data Guard to install.

    Oracle GoldenGate:

    1 operating system in the primary database and the Standby Database are not necessarily even.

    2. major databases and standby are not necessarily even. (Including database software).

    3 oracle GoldenGate Software license required in the Source code and database is target.

    Hope it helps to...

  • Query about the tutorial for Oracle Service Bus (OSB 10 g 3)

    Hello

    I'm working on a tutorial for Oracle Service Bus (OSB 10 g 3).
    I created the service proxy and the Sales Department, using the Oracle Service Bus console.
    The details are the following:
    Proxy service: LoanGateway
    Service1 business: a value of 4.9 or less causes the message to be routed to ManagerLoanReview business.
    Business service2: a value equal to or greater than 5.0 causes the message to be routed to NormalLoan business.
    When I send the request message, so that it gets routed to the proxy service to one of the business service it gives following error.

Technically, this error condition means that a kernel-mode process or driver tried to access a memory location to which it did not have permission, or at a kernel interrupt request level (IRQL) that was too high. (A kernel-mode process can access only other processes that have an IRQL lower or equal to, its own.)

    Make sure you uninstall and reinstall the drivers using the following general method.

    First of all, download the latest driver. Then perform the following steps.

    Click on Start Menu

    Right click on my computer/my computer

    Click on manage the

    Click Device Manager in the list on the left

    Find the device you are trying to uninstall by expanding the game appropriate device (network adapter/IDE ATA / ATAPI controllers)

    Right click on the device

    Click on uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that opens after hitting uninstall it)

    Put a check mark to remove software driver for this device (if this option is available, if not, just hit OK) and click OK

    Restart your computer only if Windows asks you to.

    Install the latest driver for the device.

    This is not a complete code review, just a report on my results when I tried to run your code.

    I ran your code on OS X 10.9, Java8u40.

    The application has started in the end.

    If you enter an invalid value, the application crashes.

    It is because you are trying to create Swing components in a JavaFX application on the thread of JavaFX application, rather than on the Swing thread.

    If you want to call code swing, then you must encapsulate this code in a call from SwingUtilities.invokeLater :

    SwingUtilities.invokeLater (new Runnable() {}

    @Override
    public void run() {}

    JOptionPane.showMessageDialog (Reflection2, "Entered Value Invalid",
    'Information', JOptionPane.WARNING_MESSAGE);
    }

    });

    I suggest simply ditch completely Swing code and use alerts 8u40 which originate in JavaFX Java (it will work only in Java8u40 +):

    Alert alert alert = new (Alert.AlertType.ERROR, "Invalid input");
    alert.showAndWait ();

    Even better perhaps is to not create windows separated for validation errors.

    Third party frameworks can help provide the user interface for online validation ( FXForm2, JideFX with the Developer's guide, ControlsFX, etc.).

  • ODI 12 - problem with LKM SQL for Oracle

    Hi again,

    Three days ago, that I asked about the problem with the data types of data warehouses in models that were missing. After you apply the ideas suggested by Rita (thank you very much ) I got from their work.

    But after that, we came across a new problem. When you run a mapping (Oracle for Oracle databases), it failed on the second stage - ' "work table create. "When we checked the generated code was something like this: '(" CREATE TABLE < work_table_name >). None of the names of columns or data types have been described in parentheses and as expected, the ODI execution error was "invalid identifier". It seems that API odiRef.getColList(params)%> does not work. I tried loading using LKM Oracle Oracle (DB LINK) but once again the columns are missing in the generated script.

    I have to mention the master and work repositories are different databases from Oracle and ODI Agent is not installed because of some problems.

    We are still beginners of ODI and would appreciate any help from more experienced guy (or other beginners).

    Thank you in advance.

    Just by chance, we found the soluton today!

    The reason of missing generated code was that the description of the types of data was not entirely cofigured.

    We found that the fields "create table syntax" and "'syntax of data accessible in writing' in each type of data in the topology definition were empty." After filling them, the generation of the script is running properly.

    Before that we had problems with missing data types in models and we realized the reverse engineering of the types of data, but obviously it is insufficient.

    Thanks to all those who participated in the discussion and tried to help us!

    I have a weird problem, ODI.

    I associate myself with per_all_people_f, fnd_user to load the w_user_ds using Oracle Data Integrator. The used LKM is LKM Oracle for Oracle Data Pump.

    Fine when I run the interface. I am getting below error

    I found the problem, its with the way ODI generated alias for the FND_USER table, by default it produces USER as an alias, which is a keyword from oracle. We just need to rename it to something else, and it worked.

  • Toad for Oracle 10.5 patterns

    Hello
    I'm using Toad for Oracle 10.5 and I don't have admin rights to any schema browser. I have a few questions about the copy of a diagram to another diagram. I DEV (development) and environments of TST (test) of tables, triggers, packages, etc. are created and manipulated. In addition, I don't know if this is the right forum for this question, but if not please direct me in the right direction. If there are no links, son, etc. who can help me please provide for me so I can review. Is there a way to Toad for Oracle copy a DEV scheme to another scheme TST? Are there measures that can achieve this, or does an Admin process. I'm trying to implement this on my own rather than send the job to administrators in my Department. Thanks for reading and taking the time to help me with this.

    I think you can exp. IMP, in any case you are planning / decided to try it for yourself, which can dare to stop you from that... :))

  • Model reusable SQL Oracle to create a DDL/DML Scripts for Oracle database

    Hello

    I have an obligation to set up a model of Oracle SQL to create the Scripts DDL/DML reusable for Oracle databases.
    Only the Oracle DBA will run scripts permissions is not a problem.

    The workflow for any DOF is as follows:-

    (1) new table

    a. check whether the table exists in the views system/admin.
    b. If the table exists then give message "Table exists".
    c. If the table does not exist then run DDL code

    (2) add the column

    a. check if the column exists for a given table of the system/admin views
    b. If the column exists in the specified table.
    B1. backup table.
    B2. ALTER table alter column
    B3. check data or execute convert dml sauvegardΘ to the new change script.
    c. If the column does not exist
    C1. backup table
    C2. ALTER table add column
    C3. Run dml to populate the column with the default value.

    The DML scripts are to populate the base tables with the data required for business operations.

    (3) addition of new line

    a. check if the line exists by comparing the old values of each column with the new values to be added for the new record.
    b. If there is, to give message line is
    c. If not exists, add the new record.

    (4) update existing record (we createtime columns in these tables as well as changes can be tracked)

    a. check if the row exists using the primary key.
    b. If there is.
    B1. off the record by using the "active" column of the table
    B2. Add new record with the necessary changes.
    c. If does not exist, add the new record with the necessary changes.

    Could you please help with some ideas that can get this done with precision?
    I tried several ways, but I am not able to set up something that meets all the requirements.

    Thank you

    If it helps at all. Sometimes we have a requirement for a DDL statement to be rerunable and her only error if something completely unexpected happens.

    It's a little monstrous, but basically, we wrap all DDL in a dynamic statement and capture errors that would indicate that the DDL script has already been run:

    Here's a bit of a model:

    declare
       w_ddl varchar2(32767);
    begin
       begin
          --
          dbms_output.put_line('Creating table TABLE_NAME');
          --
          w_ddl := 'CREATE TABLE MY_SCHEMA.TABLE_NAME
                    ( COLUMN_1     DATE          NOT NULL
                     ,COLUMN_2  VARCHAR2(10)  NOT NULL
                     ,COLUMN_3  DATE
                    )';
           --
          execute immediate w_ddl;
          --
          dbms_output.put_line('Successfully created table TABLE_NAME');

          when others then
             if sqlcode = -955 then
                dbms_output.put_line('Table Already exists.');
             else
                dbms_output.put_line('creation of table TABLE_NAME failed:');

    In this way, we can add the DDL statements to the deployment script and run the script again without error to set the database to the State required without having to run the newly created statement only.

    Sometimes this approach translates into a creation followed a statement alter table statement to add a column, but the end result of the script is always the same, and the deployment script can be controlled at source between iterations of development that is without having to restore the ddl changes to test the modified DDL script.

    hope that gives you some ideas.

  • Stylesheet XSL for Oracle Forms necessary

    Hello
    In the past, I used a xsl stylesheet to generate documentation of converted xml forms.

    This utility has been appointed Oracle Forms XML Explorer and recorded by Oranails (http://www.geocities.com/oranails/forms/forms_xsl.htm)

    Description: Oracle Forms XML Explorer is an Oracle's XSL Transformer documented forms XML format in Forms Builder - as HTML representation that can be published, stored and read in the browser. No need to install Oracle Developer. As in Forms Builder, you can navigate between Forms objects in the object Navigator and explore the syntax and the properties of the object that is highlighted in the pl/sql source codes by using the property Palette.

    Unfortunately the site is no longer available. I found a snapshot, but the download link does not work of course.

    Can someone help me and provide a link to this xsl tool when it exist?
    Any help will be appreciated

    Concerning
    Jean-Yves

    I have the same need and found this post...

    No promises, but I continued a few geocities which lead me to websites of archives:

    OraNails - solutions for Oracle database & tools, examples, tips, links

    which eventually lead me to:

    http://www.ingonord.com/oranails/download.php?d=forms&f=forms_xsl.zip

    Hope this helps someone someday :-)

  • create a database for Oracle FailSafe

    Hello
    I should create a database and in the next step, install oraclefailsafe to use another server to pass if the first crash. Then I created the SERVER1 database (with all the files on a shared file system).

    Now how can we establish the 'same' database on SERVER2?

    Thank you.

    I'm reading: Oracle® Fail Safe
    Concepts and Administration Guide
    Version 3.3.3 for Windows
    Reference No.. B12070-01
    December

    But do not see the answer to my question.
    Thank you.

    Please tell me if my question is clear?

    First, Oracle FailSafe is "low availability environment. The number of problems associated with the Services of Cluster MS FailSafe (including errors of the operator or configuration problems) far exceeds number of problems with Oracle running on a single node. Yes, your manager will be able to show the listeners that they perform configuration high availability. But in my experience, this does not work in real life (perhaps because we were not allowed to run Oracle and FailSafe as LocalService, but we had to use domain accounts - this added much more complexity). In any case, my personal experience with this security was bad.

    Back to your question... You do not create a database on SERVER2. You only need to install all the necessary software - software for Oracle database and integrated security software (if placed on a shared drive). All services on the server SERVER2 are created automatically when you add your database to the cluster. When your OracleService on SERVER1 crashes (for example - a complete crash of SERVER1 does cause no heartbeat data to write on a quorum disk) then FailSafe will mount disks shared to SERVER2 and start OracleService on SERVER2 (this is why OracleService should be set to manual - must not be started by Windows when the system starts) (, but only when you are prompted by the integrated security service). It's the same database - data online redo logs and control files. So, there is no second database on SERVER2. From the application point of view, a crash of Server1 "is seen" as a very fast server reboot. All connections are interrupted, the database gets bounced.

  • Can we remove a rdf model using the Jena for Oracle adapter?

    Hello

    I use the adapter for Oracle Jena API, using java. I want to remove the database model when ever needed. Is it possible to delete the database template.

    GOS GraphOracleSem = new GraphOracleSem (oracle, modelName);
    MOS ModelOracleSem = new ModelOracleSem (gos);
    mos.removeAll ();

    This code removes the model data do not remove the model. Can we delete all of the data model. Any help?

    Thank you
    KKS

    Hello

    In the latest version of the adapter of Jena, there is a dropSemanticModel API in the oracle.spatial.rdf.client.jena.OracleUtils class.
    It is a static method. The settings are simple.

    See you soon,.
