  The Collections are stored in the LR catalog. If you had previously copied to your catalog on the other computer to the new all your collections would have been there.

  Now that you have the images on the new computer, 'IF', they were placed in the same folder structure (IE even the folder names and locations) then copy through the original catalogue "should" include your collections. If they are in the names of different folder or on a different drive letter or name of the player, then you might be able to use the feature to locate Images to find them.

• menu collection disappeared under RDS on R2 windows2012

  I had installed RDS on a server 2012R2 with success. I was able to add applications to a new collection without problems. Users can run these applications successfully from their Windows 7 desktop.

  Unfortunately, the menu "collection" has disappeared from my server and I am not able to display again.

  Users continue to have access to their published applications, although the collection menu is no longer displayed.

  But the problem is that I can not edit or create new published application.

  Could you help me to find what to do please?

• Collections disappeared entirely!

  Hi all! I'm a photographer using Lightroom on holidays (3 - 4 times this year), so not very familiar. I just went to check some old pictures I wanted to change now and all my catalogs disappeared! Help, please! How can I find them?

  Use the search function of your operating system to search all hard drives for files whose name ends in. LRCAT. Double-click on each of them found to open it in Lightroom to see if it's the catalog file that contains the information you are looking for.

• Insignia collection disappeared

  For some reason any I'm now only see badges collection when a photo is in more than one collection. I did all options for the good things that I can find. And, as said, they appear when an image is in two collections, but not in one. Is this a bug?

  It is quite easy to reproduce the problem, but that it is a bug or not I can't say. I noticed first of all a few weeks back, but dating back to Lr3.6 I saw him there as well. Then, came to the conclusion that it was just another weird ball of Lr features.

  To replicate, Frédérique you create a collection with a few images and then select the collection rather than on the record. Collection badges do not have thumbs. Again select the folder and the thumbnails have badges of the collection. To further complicate things, create a second collection, using the same photos. View thumbs now by selecting the new collection. All thumbs now have badges of the collection. Switch to the first collection and low and this is all thumbs now have badges collection. Now remove the second collection and select the first again. Yes, the badges are gone again.

  * yesterday, I edited the files in lightroom 3

  * I published these photos to a collection via lightroom to smugmug.  All looks good now on smugmug photos

  * A few minutes earlier, I went in lightroom and my published collection is empty, and all my photos have been reset on their raw settings. In addition, all say that they are not in a collection.

  So I haven't lost all the photos, but I've lost days of changes.

  What I've done so far:

  * I turned lightroom market but no change.

  * Check out the history of photos - only thing in all of them is the date of initial download in lightroom

  No idea how this could happen?  Suggestions?

  Unfortunately, it is not possible to retrieve the collection of recipes. Once the app is reinstalling, must customize the app again and since we have to customize all once again, we can't recover all app data.

  Just like image files, Collections are present on our servers until they are be synchronized there by your office. Lightroom Mobile does not act as a container of storage for your files. If that's what you're looking for, then Lightroom Mobile is not good service. If you placed your files in Online Creative Cloud storage space, you would always have access to your files because a full copy of files are downloaded it for download from anywhere else.

  Lightroom Mobile connects only to a catalog at a time. So, if you synchronize a catalog and go to another computer and try downloading these files it would not work. You must configure the Lightroom on the other computer to synchronize with Mobile and it loses the connection to Lightroom on the first computer and all the files that have been sync mobile would disappear.

  You have created a new CATALOG... !  not a collection!  (looking at your screen-clip)

  Re-open your correct catalogue-'Lightroom Catalog.lrcat 5' in the Menu > file > open recent element.

  Select the pictures again, click [+] on the header of the COLLECTIONS Panel.

• Modified files have disappeared from My Collections folder

  I just spent the last hours 8 selection on a hundred photographs from more than 1000 images and placed them in a Collections folder, but as I take a few images in the Collections folder they all disappeared. Not sure what I did but I quickly press the cancel key, but they did not return. Can someone tell me please on how to get the images I had in my Collections return folder? Any help is appreciated...

  Hi Nekten sorry for your frustration.

  Unfortunately, you have discovered the behavior of collections or collections 'silly' as I like to call them.

  They are little like cardboard for storage boxes - they do the job, but you have to decide what to remove and what to put in them.

  If items are removed incorrectly then the only way for them to get back in is to pack them yourself - the items themselves have no innate knowledge where they are supposed to be.

  So apart from again there is no solution here.

  However, I have a better idea for you to consider.

  Use the Smart collection.

  Smart collections are filled according to the criteria you select.

  These collections become self-referential - as long as an image contains the metadata set criteria, that it belongs to this collection.

  Can not accidentally delete a picture from a Smart collection.

  The most likely candidates for the inclusion criteria can be side to stars, labels color or key words, but all of the searchable metadata may be used as appropriate.

• photos disappear from collection but still present in the library.  Book a contour picture and text but no pictures.

  My hard drive crashed and had to be replaced.  The hard drive contents were saved.   When I try to use my previous catalogs present on the c drive and a backup disk, I can see the files in the library but the collection has no pictures.  The collection shows the number of files it contains, but they cannot be seen.   When you click on the collection, I see a preview of the photo and the text of the photo but no picture.

  My face is red.  I have not noticed these brands.  Why are still pictures in the main library and not in the collection.  Of course, there is a break but why?  Looks like I'll have to live with it and track each photo individually.   Thank you very much for your help

At first I thought that the collections had been wiped out, but then I noticed that a search for a name of collection found the photos in the collection, as well as the collections display correctly in the develop Module.

  In the library module, right-click (ctrl-click on Mac) on a header Panel on the left side and put a check mark on any names of missing panels.

• Why is my iTunes music collection from disappearing from my iMac?

  In the past year, I've noticed more and more popular showing the exclamation mark beside the track and, of course, that do not play and I can't find them on my computer. Aside from perhaps 1/2 dozen of downloads that I have received via a gift voucher all tracks are I have up added CD that took a lot of time making music. Now its tells me that more 14 000 titles not found

  To test it. Re-imported weekend an album that has been previously added to iTunes and these titles appear not on iTunes even if the import completed in the usual way.

  Can someone give me an idea of what's going on. I don't want to lose all my playlists and music and potentially spend weeks re-import to have the same thing happen.

  The exclamation point means that iTunes can't find the real tracks that are in its database.

  Did you move, delete, all files related to iTunes or files recently?
