Color chart on Illustrator CC 2014 shows incorrect values

a1.png

See the picture above. The color of the selected area filled is e6e6e6 (230, 230, 230) but the color picker shows the wrong value 4d4d4d. Its happens only on Illustrator, that is - this actually is there any problem with the settings of the color mode? Please help me

Jolly,

This bug is not resolved, but you should be able to select the lower rectangle to the right of the Rainbow and DoubleClick to change the rectangle at the top of the page and values: the lower color is the right one.

  • selector color Illustrator October 2014 shows only a bright red

    just install the updates to Illustrator October 2014, anyone see something like the following? does not help restart. any color I'm on, or color mode which can make to solve this problem?

    Screen Shot 2014-10-07 at 10.09.19 AM.png

    beopot, masiyou,

    It seems that the problem is caused by a corrupted folder called en_US or similar (according to language) in the folder Adobe Illustrator 18 parameters, see post by Jules #7 in this thread.

    https://forums.Adobe.com/thread/1595766

    the solution should therefore move or rename this folder (or the entire record of 18 settings of Adobe Illustrator).

    You can find that the folder to move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy.

  • How to remove the user defined color chart in illustrator cc

    How can I remove groups swatch defined by the user in the menu in illustrator CC drop down 'open the Swatch Library? I'm on a Mac Book Pro 13.

    Hi Peter,.

    You can navigate to: Applications > Adobe Illustrator CC 2015 > Presets > en_US > color chart, and there, you can manually delete the user defined color chart.

    Thank you

  • Illustrator: Rename color chart

    In Illustrator Javascript, you can use the following to rename the layers:

    var doc = app.activeDocument;

    loop through all layers

    for (var i = 0; i < doc.layers.length; i ++) {}

    Configure the present variables and the new name

    var currentName = 'Unused ';

    var = newName "-not used;

    Implemented Variable for the name of the access layer

    var currentLayer = app.activeDocument.layers [i];

    If (currentLayer.name == currentName) {}

    currentLayer.name = newName;

    }

    }

    Anyway is to rename the color shades.

    For example, I have 20 shades named yellow-(key word). (The key word is different for each sample).

    I would replace the yellow with the word colour1 while replacing the part-(keyword) in tact.

    Is this possible? My color chart is in a group, so I don't know if it makes it more complicated.

    Thank you!

    You are welcome. The excerpt that I showed, it was just an example demonstrating that 'yes', you can change the names of swatch. For your specific needs, you will need to manipulate and change the .name string to make the changes. In the example you showed above, you can do something like the following basic example:

    // You can use split/join, or replace for example:
    var doc = app.activeDocument;
    for (var i = 0; i < doc.swatches.length; i++) {
        // replace "Yellow" with "colour1"
        doc.swatches[i].name = doc.swatches[i].name.split('Yellow').join('colour1');
        // doc.swatches[i].name = doc.swatches[i].name.replace('Yellow', 'colour1');
        // Or if you need case insensitive ie: Yellow, yellow, etc...
        // doc.swatches[i].name = doc.swatches[i].name.split(/yellow/gi).join('colour1');
        // doc.swatches[i].name = doc.swatches[i].name.replace(/yellow/gi, 'colour1');
    }

    PANTONE + does not match the previous Pantone spot color chart. I have several customers who are using spot colors in logos etc and now these colors are a mess. Can I get and use the old color for Illustrator books?

    Well, the spot color has not changed, but the way they were simulated four-color changed, they now use color management to get to the nearest ink possible task.

    Here is some info:

  • the color chart "load" command does not in InDesign 2014 and 2015

    The "load the color chart" command in the Panel color chart does not in InDesign 2014 and 2015. Cannot click the Pantone or any other collection, they are all faded.  I have already trashed the Preferences folder and restarted ID and Mac. It started only once I have updated to the latest version of CC, but now it affects 2014 and 2015.  Don't know what to do, I don't like reinstalling one or the other.  Tried to go back to the CS6.  All solutions anyone?  Thank you!

    Color chart of load control is for loading samples from other documents or a swatch file.

    Use the new swatch command to add a color.

    I just got my new operational computer.

    Mac Pro - Yosemite 10.10.3

    Illustrator CC 2014_18.1.1

    This seems a bit odd.

    I created a file Illustrator CC.

    I wrote then that file with a color. (Mac > file > Tag)

    When I recorded this Illustrator file, the color tag is removed.

    What is happening with this?

    I never had this problem in the past with previous Illustrator and other Mac OS versions.

    I tested other applications.

    This ONLY happens when you save files Illustrator CC 2014.

    Please notify.

    Thank you in advance.

  • Illustrator CC 2014 - Script to show and hide sublayers of name before exporting

    Hello

    I'm looking for a way hide and sublayers by name in Illustrator CC 2014 so that I can export each image as an action. I currently have an action for export, but I am unable to display and hide sublayers of name before as I have the export unless I do it manually.

    show and hide sublayers.png

    Step #1: Sublayer "gray 1', the visible value.

    Step #2: Export image.

    Step #3: Primer 'Grey 1' set to hidden.

    Step #4: Primer 'Gery 2' the visible value.

    Step #5: Export image.

    Step #6: sublayer 'Gray 2' set to hidden.

    Etc...

    Can I use a script or is there another way I can do this automatically without having to manually select each sublayer, and then export?

    its not easy at first, but once you get the hang of it, it is not difficult

    in a Word

    -create a variable of visibility for each object that must be changed, or get hidden at some point, 1 grey, grey 2, etc.

    -Gray cover 2, 3 grey, grey 4

    -make a set of data

    -Hide grey 1, gray unhide 2

    -make a set of data

    -Hide gray 2, gray unhide 3

    -make a set of data

    -Hide 3 gray, unhide Grey4

    -make a set of data

    then navigate with the arrows to view each set

  • InDesign CC 2014 doesn't load saved color chart

    I have some problems with my library of nuances in InDesign. I put a few groups of color with shades in them to load as default and it works very well when creating new documents, however they don't load in previously saved documents and appear not at all.

    I erased the preferences and that did not work ideas either, what it takes to try? I just stay persistent in my library of shades for all documents (the same as the default swatches make for the moment).

    By default the shades don't load already created documents.  If they did, if would be difficult to keep clean Swatch palette. all the colors I didn't need and had deleted would come every time I re-opened.

    You will need to use Load color chart, then choose a document containing the new color chart to import them.

  • How to script Illustrator to get a library of shades PANTONE color chart

    I've searched high and low, but can't find the answer to this question.  Quite simply, I need a script to convert all spot colors PANTONE an Illustrator file in the PANTONE BRIDGE book CMYK equivalents.

    To do this, however, it seems necessary for the script to search through the various books PANTONE swatch library color to find the one I'm looking for.  I have a string that I need, but I don't see how ExtendScript can perform a search in the libraries of different shades (or even just the a library - 'Coated + PANTONE Color Bridge (UN)'.  I can't just to watch the nuances that are in the main "Swatches" palette using Document.swatches.  Any ideas?

    I'm afraid that code gives me an "MRAP" error in the ESTK.  But, I actually found a way around the problem by using your original suggestion to have a separate file with all color swatches Pantone, added to this, then the script can enter this shade, grasp its getInternalColor, turn it into a CMYKColor, then assign the extracted values of getInternalColor of four properties of the colors of the new shade.

    Yes, it is a bit of a roundabout method and takes a lot of code, but it does the job quickly, and that's what I need.  Here is the code I have (the "workDoc" has already been assigned to the currently open document.):

    // To finish up, we delete the other two layers beyond the first and then save the file for use as digital printing file.
    // First, delete the two layers.
    workDoc.layers[2].locked = false;
    workDoc.layers[2].remove();
    workDoc.layers[1].locked = true;
    //          workDoc.layers[1].remove();

    // Before grouping and mirroring all of the artwork, it's time to convert all spot colors to process
    // using the PANTONE Bridge book as a reference.

    // First, let's open up the reference document that has all of the PANTONE Bridge book colors as swatches.
    var bridgeDoc = app.open(File("~/Documents/PantoneBridge.ai"));

    // Since attempting to colorize textFrame objects seems to crash Illustrator, we're best off just converting them all to paths anyway.
    var texts = workDoc.textFrames;
    for (var t = 0; t < texts.length; t++)
    {
              texts[t].createOutline();
    }

    var items = workDoc.pathItems;

    {
              var myPath = items[i];
              if (myPath.fillColor .typename == "SpotColor")

    I hope this helps someone else who is faced with this (admittedly unusual) situation.

  • Color chart of the changed settings

    I'm used to having my color chart look like this:

    http://www.Google.com/imgres?UM=1 & hl = in & his = N & biw = 1241 & BIH = 606 & TBM = isch & tbnid = KvF4JDOAY_MDp M: & imgrefurl = http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/showthread.php%3Ft%3D46065 & docid = e1kp XcnECq6QbM & imgurl = http://i39.tinypic.com/1z5lvsz.jpg & w = 566 & h = 369 & ei = VW0NUL7JC8jDrQHMl52uCg & zoom = 1 & hazard = rc & hard = 245 & sig = 110476387171687275132 & page = 1 & tbnh = 98 & tbnw = 150 & start = 0 & Pedn = 21 & ved = 1 t: 429 , r: 5, s: 0, i: 94 & tx = 62 & ty = 36

    Then one day, it changed to this and I would like to return to the default as shown above. Thank you!

    Hi there - the first screenshot you posted shows the color in the HSV color model selector, the second screenshot is in RGB. Have you tried clicking on the bubble 'H' to return to the HSB?

    Here is an article on the use of the color picker in Adobe Illustrator that you might find useful: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/illustrator/cs/using/WS714a382cdf7d304e7e07d0100196cbc5f-628da .html

  • Why does my color chart disappear randomly?

    I have a MAC and use CS4.

    Sometimes, when I use illustrator my color chart is here and easy access, to change the colors or values... blahlblahblah

    Other times I have No color swatches in my window color, and no cursor no bars in the color slider window (no values can be adjusteded / no bar to adjust)

    If I use the menu bar in the box color (top-right) and change the CMYK or RGB colors, I can change the color.

    It's a bit annoying, because I can't understand why this happens.

    I would like to show you guys a screenshot, but like I said it happens to chance...

    When you open an image pixel, PDF or EPS rather than an Illustrator file or rather than create a new file, there will be no shade.

  • Record the color chart of model

    I created a shade of reason and (apparently) registered, but when I try to open it from another document, can't find it. If I search my hard drive I don't is not, even if I have (several times) saved in the folder of the color chart. Any tips? CS6/Mac

    You should be able to find them in def...

    But you can also load the browsing the other library > and select an Illustrator document that has the desired shade.
