Color folder icon change

I would like to know how I can change the color of 10 Windows folder icon?

The default value is "yellow", but I want to make it different.

Thank you.

Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

You can change the icon of the folder to one of the listed icons if you follow the steps below, however, unfortunately, there is no option to change the color of the folder in Windows 10.

You can click with the right button on the folder and click Properties

Click Customize , and then click change icon tab

Select an icon in the icons in the list, and then click OK

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

You can name your folders using any agreement that you like. For example, I routinely name all my folders base with an underscore (for example, _css, _js, document, etc.) so that they sort together at the top of the folder list. Just make sure that if you rename the files, you do this in the DW files panel so that all links in these folders can be properly managed by DW.

    Hi Nancy,.

See if that helps (probably 2nd one): http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/16336-user-folders-change-default-icon.html or http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/23825-folder-icon-change-windows-7-default-folder-icon.html.

If I leave the base, please see other related tutorials at the bottom of each tutorial to see if a place hits or after return and clarify what you are trying to do.

  • How to change the space between folder icon and the text on the personal toolbar?

I have some files in the personal toolbar with just a letter to indicate what they are, but on the theme that I use, the letter is too far from the record, it belongs to and partially falls under following folder icon. I don't want to increase the space between all the icons to show the full letter, as this decreases the amount of icons that you can have in the toolbar. Instead, I want to reduce the space between the file and the text belonging to him, so he is right next to him instead of 5 pixels away.

I found various entries to change the padding and margins in userChrome.css, but it's always around the icon, I don't know where to look to close the space between the icon and the corresponding text.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Did you check the value of the left margin of the text?

You can set if necessary negative margin values.

    #PlacesToolbarItems .toolbarbutton-text { margin-left: -2px !important; }

Add .bookmark-item [container] If this enough for the items in the folder

    #PlacesToolbarItems .bookmark-item[container] .toolbarbutton-text { margin-left: -2px !important; }
  • Change folder icon in the Palette of functions

Hey, got two questions.  I am writing an instrument driver for an instrument I have here at work, and I work the VI.  I organized and inserted into a library, which is in a project, including the library and examples folder (so basically how downloaded Labview instrument drivers are set up) on the screws.  I put it in the instr.lib folder and saw him appear in the palette of functions very well.  So according to that installation, my questions are:

    (1) how can I change folder icons (not the icons of VI - done already that) in the palette of functions?

    (2) how LV instrument drivers hide the 'Examples' folder and view just the screw in the folder "Public"?  (they don't seem to be marked as private)

    Thank you!

    GE

I think the secret is to have a mnu file, which defines what will appear in the palettes. You can create one by modifying the pallets (under Tools > advanced) and there you should be able to delete items and change the icon from the palette by made a right click. Probably, you should also make sure that the mnu file is saved in the same folder, so that you can have in other PCs. Note that the palette editor has this annoying confirmation dialog which tends to hide under other windows and you need at the end of editing, so go to somewhere you can find it before you start editing.

Another option is the use of VIPM to install the driver, and which will also allow you to edit a range.

  • My Music folder icon continues to change

The My Music folder is supposed to display the icon "note of music in the folder" rather than the regular folder icon.  This is not so for my user profile.  Explorer Windows recognizes the folder in the My Music folder on my profile.  It does not display the correct icon.  I can't change icon in the properties of the folder; the option does not appear for some reason any.  I went in another profile on my computer and record music right click my profile and managed to change the icon.  It worked, but only until the computer is restarted.  The icon of music then returned to a regular folder still once.  I tried using the Microsoft Fix tool that corrects this type of problem, but it could not solve the problem the first time and could not find the question about the second time.  No other profiles on my computer experiencing this same problem; It is just my user account only.  I'm out of ideas.  Does anyone have any other suggestions?

    See if this KB helps

  • Problem image customization file folder icons, (tiny change).

After going through the procedure of customization via properties, for an image file, (to change the thumbnail shown/s), I need to run Disk Cleanup, deletion of the miniatures, so that the change is taken into account... that folders with thumbnail reload.

It's new... only through the most recent files... all ages records take any change in the usual way.

I hope that's clear enough to ask for help and thank you for everything offered.

Finally, back again... let you and all those who might be here that I found a solution that requires only two extra button clicks:

    .................................................................................................................................................................

    Folder properties > personalization:

1 photos folder > click on choose a file... > choose file (but ignore Apply)

    2. folder icons > click on change icon > click Restore Defaults (in change icon) > click on apply

No guarantees it will be ap [fold for all icons from folder...
Make sure that you use the actual files, not those in the library view *.
Right click on the file > properties > high right, customize > down, change icon > (you can do the rest...)

  • Change the option of folder icon available in the right-click context menu in Windows 7 Explorer

    Hello:

I want to be able to change the icon of a folder in the "context of the folder right-click menu' (as other choice such as: copy, paste, rename, etc.) instead of having to navigate to-> propierties of the folder-> customize-> change icon.

Is it possible to add this option via regedit?

    Thank you!

    Hi Soul-Hunter,

You will not be able to add the ability to change the icon of the folder by right click of the mouse and you can add that to the right click menu, this is normal.

However, if you want to make a right click on the folder and change the folder icon, follow the steps:

    1. right click on the folder that you want to change the icon.

    2. click on properties.

    3. click on the Customize tab and click on Edit button icon under the folder icon option.

If you want to make a suggestion or give your feedback on the product, you can access the link below and post it.
