Color of the rollover on answers quiz slides

In Captivate 5.5, is there a way to change the color of the bearing when the learner is over their cursor an answer on a quiz slide? In my project, the rollover highlight color is a dark grey, it is difficult to read the answer when the cursor is on the text of the response.

Unfortunately not.

  • color of the digital meter ramp or slide is missing the performance

    Hello

    I, m using CVI 2010 (10.0.1. (419) on windows 7-64 bit.

In a simple program, I use a digital meter. I also use the color of the digital counter and on the IUR ramp, I see the ramp as expected with the defined colors. But when I run the Panel (in the debugging or mode of publication), the instrument (meter) shows but without the color ramp.  If I save the uir file, close it, then reopen it, the ramp of color in the file of the IUR is also missing, so I have to configure it again. It's the same with a digital slide.

I think it's a bug? Someone at - it the same problem?

    Greetings from bremerhaven

My guess is that you have inadvertently saved the. IUR in an old format (8.1 or older). In the user interface editor, check the bottom right of the window to see what the current format of the. IUR is.

If this happens, you will have to change via file > save as.

  • Provide the feedback score of quiz slide button

Hi, we have created a training using adobe captivate 6.  We kept a final quiz containing 5 questions.  In the end, there is a slide of score.  Death of the quiz, we want a button called feedback to appear. The button should be a hyperlink to a url.  How can we achieve this?

In 6 Captivate, you can use a form, while checking the option 'Use as button' in the properties panel. Among the possible actions for such a form button is to open a URL. There are even form buttons in the category button (such as 'i') that are already set up a button with this action.

This button of form making it invisible by unchecking the visibility output in the properties panel. Since you want to have appear when entering the Score slide, you will need to use an advanced conditional of action to be triggered on enter to the Score slide. You can use a condition based on the cpQuizInfoPassFail of system variables. Something like this:

IF cpQuizInfoPassFail is equal to 1

THEN show Shapebutton (specify the label of the button)

    OTHERWISE, continue

  • Adding the URL for the quiz on the slides, OR separate quiz slides

I would like to add the URL of my quiz slides to give more information question. I can't find the hyperlink button insert on the toolbar properties of quiz. I use 7 Captivate on a Mac, with output tutorial as HTML5.

For all this I tried to insert blank slides between the slides in quiz (multiple choice) to give information of substance, but I cannot know how to separate the quiz slides from each other.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,

    Gemma

With the exception of the workflow of remediation (i.e. to slides in the Captivate file) a question slide is considered to be answered when the user leaves, even if the allowed number of attempts is not reached.  It's how are designed the question slides. So, it is possible to arrange these visits before the question slide? Perhaps a mock-up of the question on this slide "before"?

  • Can we remove the button continue to Quiz results?

    Hello world

Is there a way to remove the continue button on the Quiz results page?

I have a captivate file in which there is a slide thank you at the end after than the Quiz results slide. Now, here's the problem - the user is just to finish the quiz and the closure of the browser tab - which does not appear inside the LMS completion status. The user must need to display the slide thank you - so that CMS can answer that the status of "completed."

Now I want to remove the button continue on quiz results slide so that doesnot users to go forward to the next slide to complete the course. And I'll put here the thank you message in single result of the quiz slide.

Can I remove the continue button on the Quiz results page so that it could be the last slide?

    Concerning

    Vikas Sharma

Remove the button continue results Quiz slide is NOT a good idea in my experience.  By clicking the button triggers features continue in Captivate to complete the quiz and post the score to the LMS.  If this button is not checked, Captivate maybe isn't sure that the person has decided that they are finished with the quiz and wants their score to be captured by the LMS at that time here.  There are often other buttons on the Quiz results slide to offer the user the possibility of recovery or to review the Quiz.  Only the continue button is designed to take them further beyond the Quiz results slide.

Like you, I also found learners often fail to grasp the importance of the button continue and do not realize that they must do something extra (beyond to reach the Quiz results slide) so that their score to capture.  So what I usually do is to rename the button continue for something more meaningful like: save your Score, or record Quiz results now.  Have a name like that (and make nice and big button and "BOLD" so that it is not easy to Miss) clearly says to people that they need to click if they want to keep their score.  It's just a simple change, but it has virtually eliminated all the questions we had with people just close their browser when they saw the results of the Quiz.

  • Is it possible to assign a tip action to a send on a quiz slide button?

A tip action you can assign to a submit button standard quiz?

No Jay. The buttons embedded on quiz slides are not the normal buttons.

If you say what you want to achieve? Because after the two-step process (submit) is the action specified in the success or the last attempt will run. You can replace the default action 'Continue' by a tip action.

  • 6. area of review on Captivate quiz slides

    Hello

Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the control on each quiz slide area?

    Thank you

    Jodie

You can delete the control area on all the slides in quiz via the parameter under Quiz > settings > Allw user to review Quiz.  This is also where you can uncheck the option to show the Score at the end of the Quiz to remove Quiz results slide.

  • Quiz slides - Edit button actions

    All,

I have a Captivate 3 project with different quiz slides throughout the act as the comments section. I was able to have the Send button send users to a table of contents slide. However, I want the same thing to happen when they click on 'Next' quiz slides (if they want to take the exam). Is it possible to change the actions of the individual buttons on quiz slides?

    Andy

Hi Andy and welcome in the community of Captivate!

When you say "slide quiz", I assume you are referring to built-in question types (true/false, multiple choice, etc.).

If this is the case, I fear there is no way to change the behavior of the Next buttons. They just go to the next slide.

With this in mind, try to insert a blank slide at the end of each review with a range very short timeline (maybe 0.1 seconds) and the value it is to drag navigation to return to the table of contents slide. It's a little more work to add these, but it should work.

  • You can change the color of the quiz answer radio buttons / checkboxes?

    Captivate v5.5

I like to use a background image on my quiz slides (see below) and thus answers boxes option and check boxes (which are gey) do not stand out as much as they would on a white background.

    Quiz boxes.png

I know that I can reduce the parameter Alpha of background or even use a different background, but before we go down this path, is there anyway to change the color of these buttons/boxes or make them stand out more?

    Noel

Why don't you simply place a point box culminating or rectangle behind the quiz answer text captions?  Just make it white and set the transparency on this box to be about 50% or more.  The legends of the response text will always be on top.  The area under expected to reduce background noise.  It should only be slightly larger than the area occupied by the text captions.

  • How to distribute answers quiz sequence vertically on the slide?

How to distribute answers quiz sequence vertically on the slide?  Of response boxes are all locked together, moving one of them moves all, but I would like to separate them and spread them out from each other.

It has been possible in previous versions, but for some reason, they changed the model of slides, layout, put two answers in a non resizable box in the response box (which can be resized). And spacing didn't affect the lines of text within a single answer, oddly on the spacing between the answers. I tried all sorts of workarounds without a good result. I'm really sorry.

  • Quiz slides forward until the user can answer questions

In Captivate 8 quiz, quiz slides are turning to the next slide automatically themselves rather than wait for the user to answer. Why would it be?

The problem is due to an unusual combination of factors. In the preferences settings quiz, submit all them is activated. On each slide of questionnaire, or at least on some slides of questionnaire, you moved the button send off the slide completely. On these transparencies where the Send button is not at least partially superimposed on the slide of quiz, the quiz slide advance to the next slide when the duration of the slide is over. If you have the duration of 3 seconds by default slide, the slide of questionnaire where the Send button is off the slide advances automatically after 3 seconds.

  • Keep the answers for slide in verification of knowledge

    Hello

I'm new to the forum and I hope that someone will be able to help.

I created 3 slides of verification of knowledge with the back button. I would like users to be able to click on the back button and review the previously placed responses.

I tried clicking on properties and I am unable to follow the responses of the slider control of knowledge. When you click back, the slide will ask the user to regain control of knowledge. How to prevent this? or keep the answers displayed on the slide after the submission.

    Thank you!

    Ling Ling

For normal question slides, the answer will be blocked once the user has left the question against knowledge check slides slide. You can use slides of normal matter as slides of verification of knowledge by adding not their score to Total score if you also have a quiz at the end as well. This allows to calculate the score of 'knowledge' questions and perhaps make a decision based on that score. It would not be possible if indicate you them as poll slides.

    In a quiz:

    1. remove the control on question slides area?

    2. I seem to be able to manually remove the button (for example the Clear button), but I can't copy and paste a button from one slide to another. Is it possible to do?

    Thank you

    The f

    Hi Jeff,

The examination area is not meaning much, because most of the review information is in control of brand for correct, incorrect and given answers. It is rarely used. I wouldn't delete it.

If you want to remove something question slides, do not delete them but uncheck in accordion panel properties of Quiz Options.

Buttons on question slides are incorporated into the question slides, they do not have a separate calendar. Same thing for legends like Type of Question, Question, answers. Do not delete them, or you could cause a lot of problems. For the same reason you can't just copy and paste those objects incorporated at all. If you want to change the properties, location, size, you can use the master Quiz slides and or the object for the quiz on objects styles.
