Colors too saturated in the editor

I use PSE for years. Now all of a sudden with a new PC all colors are saturated in the editor. The images that look fine in other programs (Irfanview, Faststone, Windows Photo Viewer) seem terrible to post-secondary studies. They also seem OK on my TV connected by HDMI.

My PC screen is also well adjusted. It is fair to Photoshop!

Color management does nothing to improve things. Can someone help me with what is happening please?

Thank you

Have you tried to change the color settings in the editor. Go to Edition in the menu bar > select color settings > always select 'optimize colors for the parameters of the computer '.

If this does not work can you share a snapshot of any photo for which colors look oversaturated.

  • Problem with color, too saturated exported images management

    Hello

I have an image in Photoshop (CS5, Windows 7) that I wanted to export to PDF and print it, but then I noticed the colours varied considerably making the result unusable.

The image is composed in AdobeRGB and I work on a wide range of screen (Dell U2711) I calibrated and profiled with a Spyder4.

In Photoshop, the image contains a beautiful dull light brown but when I open the PSD in Illustator or InDesign or when I export it as a PDF and view it in Acrobat, it is much too red in it. I enclose below an example of how the colors look like in Photoshop (left) and the rest of the system (right):

    wrong-colors.jpg

(Note: this is a JPEG AdobeRGB, so the consultation on a normal range screen might not show as much difference that it is actually)

This color shift is very extreme, and I don't know what the cause of the problems. I tried different profiles for my monitor (the only one I created with the Spyder, the profile of the Dell factory, the standard profile from AdobeRGB, no profile at all etc..). While the color has obviously changed a bit the problem as a whole has not changed: Photoshop shows the beautiful yellow brown, other applications show a very reddish image. The difference is even noticeable quite highly on my second monitor which is just a normal range of the screen with a range of about 73% of the sRGB colors.

I also tried to export to a flat JPEG with no embedded profile that makes the result a little better, but the colors are still not accurate at all. It's very confusing because I don't know what the problem is and I don't know if it's just Photoshop the wrong colors or if other applications just to bad color management.

It would be great if you could help me out here.

    Thank you.

P.S. this problem could be linked to this thread http://forums.adobe.com/message/4178572#4178572 Although I couldn't find a working solution there.

P.P.S. opening the image/PDF exported in Photoshop, product colors you want, once again, is not a weird conversion causing issues.

If it is not the right profile, there would be at least two independent yet more fake profiles that I spend in assinging profiles of good and evil. I doubt it. I'm sure that Windows and Photoshop use the right profiles. Both monitors independently change when assinging different profiles and colors in Photoshop always will change accordingly.

Applications that do not seem to choose the right profile are Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat. When I do the primary external monitor they display the colors correctly. But as soon as I do the laptop monitor the main display colors aren't yet.

So I guess that Windows and Photoshop are doing everything right, but Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat use only the profile of the main screen. So on the range wide screen it is obviously all saturated (especially in red). However, when I put my main screen what they use it for both profile that specifies the range widescreen on the big screen and also quite accurate colours on the internal monitor because it's the color range is much smaller.

I declare this a bug in these applications.

  • Adjustments of color and saturation on IP8720

Is it possible to make adjustments to color and saturation through the printer driver before printing a photo on the IP8720?

I use OSX 10, iPhoto, Lightroom 5 Mavericks. I was wondering if there is no settings of the driver itself. I don't see any, but I saw something in the manual online that looked like it. Thank you.

  • Too many bars in the Editor window

    Hello world

I'm all new to Adobe Audition and have messed up my work space. I tried reseting the workspace, I changed it to the default and all other preloaded workspaces.

In any case, I was cleaning up a voice over and worked on it a couple of hours. I'm working with a Wacom Intuos tablet and dropped my stylis on the Board of Directors. Some tools click on it and I do not know what has been enabled.

My workspace now has far too many tracks (?) in the Editor window.

What can I do to fix this?

  • Color more Alpha in the query editor

Is there an easy way to adjust the color and the alpha in the query editor? The Advanced Color option, with its colors and the Offset of the functions is meaningless to me. I just want to re - sample a color and apply an alpha.

Oh, my bad, I should have said "change the color effect by using the menu in the property inspector".

So will try again - if you have the instance with the tint (applied in the query editor or IP) and then change to advanced by using the context menu in the property inspector, it should keep your color in the instance. Make sure that the playhead is at the beginning of the Tween before you change the tint color effect to advanced. You can then manipulate the additional settings for interpolation in two places (motion editor) or PI.

Hope that helps, and sorry for the omission.

    Hello

Sometimes I take a home project wasting my weekend. It seems to me that on a computer different projects can be different, even if I copy the prj and SCF files.

Is it possible to transfer all the user settings, including the editor preferences?

NO, you need more light, more thoughtful walls, ceiling etc.

  • Paper too long on the front

On my new printer all-in-one HP 8610, I use A4 paper. However, whenever I try to print, whether front or front / back I get an error message saying "paper too long at Auto-duplex.  If I close the window, the printer prints normally, so it isn't a big problem, but I would be quit anyway.

    Hello @mussep,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject.

Because this error appears when printing several programs on your computer, the e-all-in-one printer HP Officejet Pro 8610 there may be a problem within your printers Firmware Version of programming. Or, there may be a conflict between your Windows 7 computer and your printer HP Officejet driver. Can I please you follow the steps below to isolate this problem and fix it.

    Step 1: Make a copy:

To make sure that printer hardware is working properly, I'll ask you to perform a copy on the front of your printer A4 paper. If the copy print correctly, without error messages on the printer or the paper feed issues, then we know that something on the computer is originally this printing error.

How to copy on A4 paper:

    1. Please load a sheet of paper for the test copy either on the flat glass on your printer or in the ADF on top of your printer
    2. On the front screen of the printer, please press copy
    3. Then, tap the settings icon on the bottom of the screen
    4. Under copy settings tap paper size. Please make sure that it is set to A4
    5. Select set as new default values. Press Yes if prompted

    • If the copy fails to print correctly, the problem you are experiencing is caused by your printer. Maybe it's a problem within the internal Firmware programming in your printer. Essentially, the Firmware is the "brain" of your printer and control that made the printer and how the printer it. If there is a corruption in the internal programming of Firmware on your printer, it may cause the printer to performance issues. Can I have it please click hereto download the last Firmware update. Once the download is complete, you will see a prompt to "run" the update of the Firmware. Please allow this to run. The Firmware Update utility is now launched. Follow the prompts on the screen to 'send' the update of the Firmware for your printer. Once the update has been completed successfully please make another test copy to confirm if your machine now copy on A4 paper. If the copy is now accepted, please print from your computer to see if the problem is now resolved. If a copy still fails, please do not continue to troubleshoot at this time.

    Step 2: Uninstall the driver:

If you use a USB cable connection between your computer and your HP Officejet, please unplug this cable now.

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Select all programs
    3. Select the HP folder
    4. Select HP Officejet

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. In the box "search programs and files" located just above to start after you click on it, type %temp% , and then press enter on your keyboard
    3. When the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in this folder will highlight now.
    4. Select the "delete" button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains the temporary internet files. None of the actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting Temp files. A Temp file should you will automatically get the pop up to 'jump' this point.

  • Change the matte color to jpg for the image assets

Is there a way to change the matte color of white for the generated images jpeg?

Photoshop can save jpeg files in the folder you are working on.  Photoshop is not a file editor.  You can change the image, you work on the appearance in many ways.

If you open a JPEG with Photoshop it open like a background image layer.  The background layer, Photoshop does not support transparency.  If you add the canvas, you can add any color you want from the Web. There is no separation between an object in the background layer and the area around this object that is a unique raster layer.

  • TIFF files created in Silver Efex Pro and split toned in Lightroom 6.1 look more saturated in the view 'fit to screen' in the development in the library module module. It is to be fixed?

    Everyone knows this?

I'm have not used Silver Efex pro, but understand now you're working with B & W images are weakening in LR. What you are likely to see is not a tint or color difference, but a "lighter" image It appears as less color saturation, since the image is monotonous.

As Gene McCullagh mentioned this is due to the differences in library modules and develop an overview of rendering the preview to view fewer images of 1:1. If a high ISO image is sharper and has asked insufficient Luminance Noise reduction may seem brighter and less strong in the library less than 1:1 view module (i.e. Fit). Fortunately, there's an easy solution, as explained here:

Re: Develop module & library module are not matching

If it is not 'fix' the issue, then you can have an incompatible monitor profile (ICC Version 4 or LUT type):

  • Why my colors appear dimmed after the recording through photoshop?

Why my colors appear dimmed after the recording through photoshop? When you record directly from bridge they appear sharp and vibrant, but after taking a recorded image and open in Photoshop and resave after retouching, colors appear then faded and less saturated on this picture.

Always convert to sRGB, whenever a file is needed to correctly display without color management.

  • Images pre edited when opened in the editor

I used PSE 11 for a few years and all of a sudden this week my images are 'self published' when opened.  When I open an image in the editor, it has already been edited a bit... it seems different from the image in the Organizer.  I want to change the images myself.  Was I accidentally turn on a few 'auto edit '?  How can I turn this off?

I just found that after the image opens in the editor, I can go Image - convert color profile - remove color profile.  It gives me the original image.  But, does anyone know how to disable this feature for good?

  • use marker iff section is too long for the header

    Hello everyone,

I wonder: is it possible to implement FrameMaker using a marker iff there is one on this page?

Here's the problem: I have a book with several chapters of different authors. Some of them used topics that are too long for the headers. For those I want to use markers.

I know how to display markers, which I don't want, because then I have to create a benchmark for each unique position in the book (using this master page). And I know how to view the different titles for example < $paratext [H1, H2, H3] >.

Now I'm looking for is something like this < [marker, line] $paratext >. In plain language: 'check if there is a certain marker. If there is one, show the marker, otherwise display the heading."

Then I would be able to use the same master page and would need to use markers only where a title is too long.

    Thanks in advance

    Dennis

    Dennis,

    Take a look at http://forums.adobe.com/message/3503638#3503638

You could create an alternative heading tag (for example InvisibleH1) with an invisible color in a framework anchored to it and can then use the building block <$paratext[InvisibleH1,H1,H2... etc.]="">. Just toggle the views appropriate to hide text in anchored frames.
