Paper too long on the front

On my new printer all-in-one HP 8610, I use A4 paper. However, whenever I try to print, whether front or front / back I get an error message saying "paper too long at Auto-duplex.  If I close the window, the printer prints normally, so it isn't a big problem, but I would be quit anyway.

Hello @mussep,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject.

Because this error appears when printing several programs on your computer, the e-all-in-one printer HP Officejet Pro 8610 there may be a problem within your printers Firmware Version of programming. Or, there may be a conflict between your Windows 7 computer and your printer HP Officejet driver. Can I please you follow the steps below to isolate this problem and fix it.

Step 1: Make a copy:

To make sure that printer hardware is working properly, I'll ask you to perform a copy on the front of your printer A4 paper. If the copy print correctly, without error messages on the printer or the paper feed issues, then we know that something on the computer is originally this printing error.

How to copy on A4 paper:

  1. Please load a sheet of paper for the test copy either on the flat glass on your printer or in the ADF on top of your printer
  2. On the front screen of the printer, please press copy
  3. Then, tap the settings icon on the bottom of the screen
  4. Under copy settings tap paper size. Please make sure that it is set to A4
  5. Select set as new default values. Press Yes if prompted
  6. Please make a Black or a color copy

-Source: How to copy

  • If this print-out successfully with no errors or problems paper, that the printer hardware is working properly. This seems to indicate that the problem you are having is caused by something on the computer. Can I please you proceed to the next step to resolve this problem.
  • If the copy fails to print correctly, the problem you are experiencing is caused by your printer. Maybe it's a problem within the internal Firmware programming in your printer. Essentially, the Firmware is the "brain" of your printer and control that made the printer and how the printer it. If there is a corruption in the internal programming of Firmware on your printer, it may cause the printer to performance issues. Can I have it please click hereto download the last Firmware update. Once the download is complete, you will see a prompt to "run" the update of the Firmware. Please allow this to run. The Firmware Update utility is now launched. Follow the prompts on the screen to 'send' the update of the Firmware for your printer. Once the update has been completed successfully please make another test copy to confirm if your machine now copy on A4 paper. If the copy is now accepted, please print from your computer to see if the problem is now resolved. If a copy still fails, please do not continue to troubleshoot at this time.

Step 2: Uninstall the driver:

If you use a USB cable connection between your computer and your HP Officejet, please unplug this cable now.

  1. Click on the Start menu
  2. Select all programs
  3. Select the HP folder
  4. Select HP Officejet
  5. Select Uninstall

Please follow the prompts on the screen to complete the uninstallation. Once the uninstall is complete, proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Delete the temporary files:

  1. Click on the Start menu
  2. In the box "search programs and files" located just above to start after you click on it, type %temp% , and then press enter on your keyboard
  3. When the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in this folder will highlight now.
  4. Select the "delete" button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains the temporary internet files. None of the actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting Temp files. A Temp file should you will automatically get the pop up to 'jump' this point.
  5. Close the Temp folder when it is empty
  6. Right-click the recycling bin on your desktop and select empty recycling bin. Please proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Install the device:

  1. Please click here to download the latest drivers for your HP Officejet.
  2. Once the download is complete, follow the prompts on the screen to install your printer
  3. If you use a USB cable connection, do not connect the USB cable until the installation program invites you to

Once the installation is complete, please test print from your computer to confirm if the "too long in the Auto-Duplex document" error is resolved.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

I move the files from internal hard drive to external hard drive using cut and paste.  I get a message "the file name would be too long for the destination folder.  You can shorten the file name and try again, or try a location with a shorter path. "I then gives me choices to skip or cancel.  What happens to files that are ignored?  Are they deleted?  I don't want to lose all the data, but there are more 2 000 files with this problem, so passing by and rename each one really isn't a viable solution.  I don't really understand how the file names were originally created/saved about a problem that is only now that I want to move them.  The disc source and destination are NTFS.  Is there a solution for this?  It is imperative that no data is lost.  Thanks for any help you can offer.

N ° to check that what I say is correct, create a new folder
for the purposes of the trial and to make a copy of some files. To ensure that
one of them has a long name (rename if necessary), and then try to copy

From my understanding a CLOB leave maximum string size of 2 GB. And on top, my xml string is not greater than 2 GB (I cannot display the xml data string, refers to the business). So why I get the error too long string literal.
For the above, I fault the XML into several parts and run the PLSQL, then it gives no error.
    Please advice.

From my understanding a CLOB leave maximum string size of 2 GB.

    Not exactly:
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/AppDev.112/e25519/datatypes.htm#CHDDCGEE

but this isn't the real problem.

The error is about the "string literal" size, there is a limitation too:
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/server.112/e17766/pcmus.htm#sthref18132

    PLS-00172: string literal too long
Cause: The string literal was longer than 32767 bytes.
Action: Use a string literal of at most 32767 bytes.

For the above, I fault the XML into several parts and run the PLSQL, then it gives no error.

Is this a real case of production or you just test?
In practice, we should first save the file in a variable/column CLOB (or XMLType) and then reference the content from there.

  • use marker iff section is too long for the header

    Hello everyone,

I wonder: is it possible to implement FrameMaker using a marker iff there is one on this page?

Here's the problem: I have a book with several chapters of different authors. Some of them used topics that are too long for the headers. For those I want to use markers.

I know how to display markers, which I don't want, because then I have to create a benchmark for each unique position in the book (using this master page). And I know how to view the different titles for example < $paratext [H1, H2, H3] >.

Now I'm looking for is something like this < [marker, line] $paratext >. In plain language: 'check if there is a certain marker. If there is one, show the marker, otherwise display the heading."

Then I would be able to use the same master page and would need to use markers only where a title is too long.

    Thanks in advance

    Dennis

    Dennis,

    Take a look at http://forums.adobe.com/message/3503638#3503638

You could create an alternative heading tag (for example InvisibleH1) with an invisible color in a framework anchored to it and can then use the building block <$paratext[InvisibleH1,H1,H2... etc.]="">. Just toggle the views appropriate to hide text in anchored frames.

  • Path too Long for the Installation of the software

I am trying to install a version of the CAD software to one of my PCs employee.  When we run the Setup file, we get an error message too long file path.  The message says that the file path is 99 characters long, but the limit is 93.  This seems like a terribly low limit for a C: drive.

The path goes only in a folder as well.  Thus, its C:/Program Files/Autodesk / "name of file along here."

I understand long path problems when you go deep in several folders and the typical character limit is 254.  I do not understand why we are running in a limited issue when you have only a single deep folder on the C: drive and only have 99 total characters in the path.  Is this a problem of windows 8?  Or maybe a problem with the PC itself?  Is it possible to change the limit of characters on the C: drive since 93 is so short and also seems to be a random number?

    Justin

Your best bet is to contact the CAD developer, we would have no way of knowing how many levels deep the software installs.

    Hi MVilela,

Thanks for asking this question to Microsoft Community!

I understand that after the replacement of the hard disk of the computer takes too long to turn on the mouse and the keyboard.

Your Windows 7 is better suited in the TechNet forums. I suggest you to send your query there.

  • CFC - URi too long during the passage of text string to CFC

I have a page that allows the user to save a large block of text which is held in a < div > tag to the database without reloading the page through cfajaxproxy and a cfc.

When you click on 'save' a javascript function draws text of the div block and stores it in a javascript string, which is then passed into a cfc using cfajaxproxy as a parameter to the javascript function. (ie. functionName (theTextBlockString);). It works fine except if the text contained in the javascript string var gets too long and causes a URi too long message.

Display of the request in firebug, that I see the cfc is called via a GET request, which causes all my input parameters that I placed in the service to be placed in a GET url string, so of course when it is a long block of text, only the URL query string is too long, and I get the message too long URI of the CFC.

What I'm trying to understand, is how hell I can pass a large text string in the EFA without encountering this problem. Is there an alternative application method so that I can't use GET?

    Thank you in advance!

    Dave

I found the setHTTPMethod parameter used during initialization of a cfc to cfajaxproxy - you can change it to a POSITION which obviously solves the problem. Adobe, mark POST by default as AJaxCFC, CFAjax, etc.! Maybe theres some reason to have default GET, who knows...

  • Recovery after that hibernation is too long on the Qosmio F30

    Hello

I use my Qosmio F30 laptop about 3 years and still have the same problem. Recovery of Windows after hibernation, it takes about 1 to 1.3 minutes long. Of course it is not too much, but I see how quickly rescind my other two books, with a lower and more good configuration cheap than the Qosmio.

Their recovery time is only 15 to 25 seconds. Where the problem may be?

I noticed that when the recovery starts, it will quickly about 2-3 seconds, and HDD LED at the moment is bright lighting. But then the progress freezes and continues slowly, and the HARD Drive LED lights more weak, it flashes just with a very fast rate. I think perhaps it means that problems on the HARD drive, maybe it works in mode "snail" at this time there and goes to normal work only after complete recovery?

Please help, I can't solve this problem on my own.

PS: Sorry for the bad English, it is not my mother tongue.

I checked that my pre-installed Vista Satellite P200 and the resumption after hibernation is about 55 seconds. Several applications are open. 1 minute is theoretically OK.
Your other laptops are not known to me and I can't say anything about it.

    Using Vista too?
You close all running applications before using hibernation mode?

  • too long in the loops of whlile (timed)

    HY

I am: routinely labview developer course made, advanced no performance (not even as it may seem, I need that).

Programm: multi all structure of event loop with lines of command for each loop, more a single elemnt queue for each loop running as a variable. network communication trought the queues is possible! Many hardware addons as controller PXI Motion and IO digital communication, RS232 communication with several controllers different als separated loops. The software also works without connected hardware components.

problem: lines of "continuous loop" rate should be less than 5 ms, but is about 15ms/iteration at the present time.

    hardware: computers 2core, WinXP32bit, LabVIEW9

goal: improve rates of loop of the "continuous loop.

What has been tryied and tested:

OK, I tried many things, partially with success.

-make Subvi returning some of them are used many times at the same time in each loop (see hierarchy VI)

-increase in speed Subvi with code improvements, partially with success

-Analyze with the profiling of the VI

    Question:

When I was profiling the performance of my VI, I have identified that summarizing the duration of the Subvi "Continuous loop" does NOT match the current loop duration. they are about 20-30 ms, whereas they should be according to the number of tracks and the total corresponding to 3ms. in other words, it is factor of 6 to 10 slower than it should be in my point of view. I don't really have an idea of why this happens. the printscreen and its corresponding information is without another iteration loop (deque just waiting) running.

I tried to get more details and made a few tests and comparative analysis with my continuous loop. He showed that this additional time (latency? so high?) is not actually produced by the continuous Subvi and also not part of the loop deque. It seems that almost all the time of the loop is displayed once the code for the loop is finished... and before the beginning of the loop, somehow...

If you have any suggestions or information, why this is the case, or if you even have ideas for improvements or references, please let me know.

attached is viewed from the corresponding part of the program. I don't want to the public the entire program for everyone. If you have any ideas or need the code for the specific tests, please send an e-mail directly to stefan.hartmann (at) psi.ch.

    best thanks in advance

    HY

OK, I found the problem. the long time of iteration is produced mainly due to a queue which was to load and write the string array of 100 x 100 several times by iteration. This is the reason why time iteration actually has been measured so high and produced a further delay by iteration, next to the slot-VI-times.

I solved this problem by maintaining the use of queues in 100 with chain 1 x 100, where I actually just need a queue by iteration and not the 100 x 100. This means at the time of iteration about 2 Ms!

  • Query takes too long, but the cost is low

    Hi guys,.

I run a query on two databases that were created in the same way and have the same data.

On one, the cost is almost 1 million, and it runs in the space of a few seconds
On the other hand, the cost is 40,000, and it does not end execution

I looked at the plan to explain it and there is no Cartesian merge on the second query join, but it takes so long. What can I do to study this?

    Thank you

The sqlxtplan provides comprehensive information on the query that was executed, or running, depending on the mode you choose. It has all the information of dbms_xplan plus much more. for example all the table definitions used in the query, filters of predicate query, plans for execution, his stats of all tables, indexes, etc... used in the query.
I find the way the fastest to get an overview of how the optimizer made its decision. If it is running run mode, it, rather than using the id of sql or hash, it also gives a 10053 trace.

  • Port is too long that the process that runs on there

    Platforms: 11.2.0.3 on AIX/Linux/Solaris

This is a question about how software Oracle maintains sessions client connected after that the listener is stopped with elegance

    Scenario of
    =========
You have a DB and its listener running on the DB server. The listener runs on port 3278.
From your laptop, you start a sqlplus session to through the listener. After the session must be connected to the laptop. The process of listening to the DB server is reduced. But sql * more session connected to the laptop can still issue queries and get the results.sqlplus session is still connected to the DB via port 3728, even if the listener is down. ESTABLISHED for that port displays the following output of netstat on the Server DB (10.80.0.213)
    $ netstat -an | grep 3728
    10.80.0.213.3728   192.168.0.101.59001  17520    881 49640      0 ESTABLISHED
A TCP/IP Port exists only when the process that runs / plays on it is. Right? Thus, after the listener is brought back is there another process that maintains this port so that the client session is served with what he needs the DB?

As far as I KNOW, none of the two processes can share a port. Unless there is a mechanism in the listener that calls the port to another process, when it is worn down.

    Hello
I think that explains very well at a level detailed - the way he manages the ports has changed slightly in the new versions of oracle - lsof does not look like it can in older versions.
