Colour bluish on HP laptop.

Hello guys, I have the HP PAVILION notebook 15-E009TU. It's just 10 months. I had a few gray lines in the LCD screen a few days ago and called hp for warranty replacement. a technician came and replace the LCD screen with a new one.

However, the new screen has a blue tint so the entire screen. I tried the setting of different color that can fix it in windows but the blue tint is still there when windows starts upward and in the BIOS. What do I mean? Did I just get a screen faulty/renovated again? Also the screen unlike HD to my original screen. Is there anyway to check that I had the exact model screen, I had originally? and what of the blue tint? should I try again guarantee?

Hello prantik1994,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand your screen has a bluish tint after having the screen replaced under warranty, and it seems more to be HD.

Can you tell me if you have the same problem with an external monitor, it could be a problem with the backlight on the screen. If the bluish tinge seen in the BIOS it is unlikely to be software related as any of the installed software is loaded when you use the BIOS. There is no way of knowing if it has been replaced by the same model because generally the technicians will take the old equipment back with them when they leave. If they don't you can check the number on the screen and remove the newly installed display to compare part numbers.

If you feel it, you can try to replace the screen cable connection. This will not void your warranty as long as you follow the steps described in this guide: HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC - Maintenance and Service of Guide.

In addition, if it happened immediately after service I would also contact the HP support by phone to at least document the issue. They can feel service is necessary, because it is clearly a unwanted material. You can contact HP Technical Support at 1-800-474-6836 in North America. For all other regions click here.

Hope this helps!

  • Wrong video display or led or bad video cable

I have a laptop Compaq Presario CQ61-411WM CCFL 1366 x 768 LED, which was abandoned and had a cracked screen, I couldn't see the lines on the screen, so I replaced the screen with a new screen with a conversion kit. I couldn't get any video on the screen, but I was able to get the video on an external monitor, so I ordered a video cable used off of ebay, and when I installed the video cable being used I was able to get video, but the desktop and icons have been distorted and not clear. When I opened a web page online photos were blurry and distorted, and writing and letters on the page were clear. I just did a fresh install of windows 7 Home premium and I used the recovery DVD to do this, and I also used the DVD driver supplied with the computer.  I reinstalled windows 7 think there's something wrong with the video driver, and it does not solve the clarity of the picture or the screen. But when I connected to an external monitor to the laptop the screen clarity and icons and contrast and color were all very good.  I also had travel wavey lines and colours distorted on the laptop screen, but once again, all on the external monitor was good, clear and perfect to read and see.

I don't know if the monitor LED is bad, or if I bought a bad video cable.

I want to order a different video cable off of ebay, but I'll wait and get a few comments here.

I send you the back screen for a replacement. They will check the video cable, conversion kit, and the screen and make it work for me. I don't have the right parts to test and refine the problem. Thanks for your comments

  • My Tecra A9 TFT screen is bluish

    Hello

I find my Tecra A9 a little bluish TFT screen... Most of the colors are a shade of ILO, including the reds.

I wonder if this is a feature of the poster of the Tecra A9 or there is a problem with mine... I read some reviews, but none is talking.

    Thank you

    Pedro Duarte

Me be thick or not, but when you say TFT you hear an external TFT monitor or the current screen on the laptop. If the screen on the lapto is and he just started to happen, then I think it's maybe a hardware problem, best way to try is to connect an external monitor and see what you get on this. Press FN + F5 to change the display device by the way. The only other thing I can think is some kind of framework in display properties, to verify this, right-click on your desktop and then click Properties. I check here, for anything that can suggest a kind of theme blue at all.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi all

I'm a photographer and I'm looking for a Dell laptop that will work well with Photoshop CS6. It seems that Photoshop will not support a screen high ground for Windows so I have to stay at a size of 1920 x 1080 (max).

I would like to get something that has:

    1. excellent range of colours and precision

2 IPS, or according to the worst angles of excellent visualization technology

3 side at least 300 NITS

Please let me know what you would recommend. I want to stay with Dell because we have owned many of them and feel comfortable with Dell.

Thank you very much and I appreciate your time!

  • The screen colors capsized on laptop, do not know how to restore it.

I don't know what happened. Did school work on my hp laptop with Windows 7, when I shut it off for a break. Came back and colours where reversed. This isn't a high contrast as I already tested it to see if that was the problem. Colors are reversed as whites is turned to black and blues that turned orange, so completely opposite. Tried to look in the control panel to see if it was a simple display solution, but I can't really find anything. Google the problem and still no luck. System Restore is not really an option. Suggestions? Please and thank you for your help.

    Hello

What is the model number of the HP laptop?

Follow these methods mentioned below and check if that helps.
    Method 1:
    a. open color management by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type color, and then click color management.
    b. click on the Advanced tab, and then click change system default values.
    c. click on the Advanced tab in color management - system default settings dialog box and do one of the following:
-To prevent Windows from loading screen calibration, clear use Windows display calibration check box.
    d. click on close in color management - dialog box default settings of the system.
    e. click close in the color management dialog box.

You can also check the below links to get help on the issue.

Method 2: This can also happen if the driver for the graphics card was corrupted. Try to update the driver for card to display on your computer and check if it helps to solve the problem.

    Update the display driver card:
    a. click Start.
b b.. in start search box, type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
    (c) in the Device Manager window, expand display adapter
    d. right-click on the graphic card installed.
    e. click on update driver software and select the option to search automatically for updated driver software.
    f. restart the computer after the update and check if you are able to change the resolution.
  • Cannot adjust the brightness of the laptop monitor

I'm not sure when this problem started, but I'm guessing it's when I've updated my graphics driver (Nvidia) or software of the chipset (Intel).

After a while, I noticed that my brightness keyboard shortcuts were not working, but other hotkeys (touchpad, volume, sleep, wi - fi, bluetooth, etc.) were still working.

Since I use my laptop for most on my desk with the max brightness settings, I ignored it for a while.

When I happened to use up the outside of the battery, the monitor went automatically minimum brightness settings.

I tried to find the brightness slider in the control panel or the mobility Center, but they have been missing.

The options for the Adaptive brightness disappeared as well.

Now I don't see a way to adjust the brightness of my.

I tried a variety of suggestions available on the web, including:

    create a new user account,

    validation of account information,

Remove and reinstall the driver for the monitor,

search for 'brilliance' in the start menu,

    re-installation of software hotkey,

rolling back the graphics drivers and chipset (from those provided by the manufacturer).

I spoke with a Microsoft support for topic a couple of hours, still no luck (he was very nice anyway).

If anyone is suggesting the control panel Windows or Nvidia color grading, I don't mean for those, since I need to adjust the brightness of the backlight of the screen, not software-ish of calibration of the colours on the screen.

I use Windows 7 Ultimate on CLEVO M860TU with monitor Chi Mei N154Z1-L02

I am looking for a way to restore the brightness sliders, or at least to adjust the brightness manually.

When I had to happen, I was able to restore by doing this:

    (1) open Device Manager

    (2) right click and uninstall the monitor (not the graphics driver, but the monitor specifically)

    3) click on the "Scan for new hardware" button on the toolbar above

    (4) try to use the brightness slider functions once again (either in Center of energy or mobility settings).

Has worked for me, I would like to know if it helps you too.

  • Error code: 0xc0000185 - laptop fails to find CD drive

    Hello

Would be great if you could help me!

After a frozen screen and a hard reboot, my Sony Vaio not boot up but goes rather in the loop of the first showing the Sony logo, then moving to a black screen with a white dot in the upper left corner. I tried to retrieve / maintain the system through F8 but nothing happens outside of the computer go in above mentioned loop again.

I finally gave up saving all the data, so I tried to use the recovery media (CD created when I got the laptop - I don't have any other CD of Windows 8 as it comes preinstalled on the machine) to get it back. So when I come back in fashion relief (i.e. F8) and select start media, the computer does not seem to detect the real CD player, even if I inserted the first recovery CDs. Also, I changed the BIOS setting so that the computer boots from the CD drive first. Finally, I see a bluish light screen font Windows & saying style

    "Recovery".

Your PC needs to be repaired. Configuration of boot for your PCIS data missing or contains errors. Leader: \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD

    Error code: 0xc0000185

You will need to use the tools of recovery on your installation media. If you don't have any installation media, please contact your system administrator or the computer manufacturer.

Press ESC for UEFI firmware settings

I then press ESC and everything starts all over again :(

Thank you very much in advance for your efforts!

    Hello

Try to select the key for Boot Options when the logo appears SONY...

The key is different for different manufacturers... Could possibly be F9 or F11...

You can probably also change this setting in the actual Bios as well...

My HP laptop requires that you press the escape key and then displays a menu with the options F #...

As you noted the EFI error, it could be that your machine is trying to start on the bad device...

No device in reality, but a file on your HARD disk...

When you use EFI\UEFI Bios, the machine starts by starting the EFI file and then is redirected to Windows... Try to set the startup type selection EFI\UEFI Option... The actual name varies a bit depending on the manufacturer.

A lot of machines that run EFI\UEFI Bios won't boot from a DVD drive... They usually start from a flash drive, but can even be difficult...  It is a type of 'Security' of the thing.

There are two settings in your BIOS, you may need to disable it to get the machine to boot from the DVD drive...

Start with QUICK START and then SECURE BOOT...

  • Laptop for 4 k video editing - more than RAM vs best map Gfx

    Hi guys,.

I am lucky to get 2 laptops for the same price.

One of them has a Geforce 970 M with 6 GB and 32 GB of RAM, and the other a finer 980 M with 8 GB and 16 GB of RAM.

Considering that I will edit mainly 4 k, which of these would be benefict my workflow? I do use the adjustment of color, denoise occasionally and a few other simple fx.

Can I assume the laptop with 16 GB of RAM would fall a bit in the rendering time, but would be much better in terms of real-time preview? (This is where I had problems more in my office and I believe that it is bound to have a bad Gfx card, since I have a truck with an I7 6700 k and 32 GB of DDR5 RAM 3600 Mhz memory but the gfx card is a Geforce GT740 with 2 GB of RAM (bottleneck?).

980 m vs 1060, you must take into account also in speed (base and boost) clock of the cuda cores, which places the gtx 1060 far ahead. the gtx 1000 series is the first to reach such high clock speeds, where, as older generations have lower and somewhat similar clock speeds. If previously it was acceptable to focus only on the number of core cuda, but is no longer. about 4 GB of memory should be enough for 4 k, making unnecessary the gtx 6 just right 1060 GB and the 8 GB on the 980 m.

system vs video card ram, 4 k colour grading I would try to get the gtx 1060, even to sacrifice to 16 GB of ram. but I'd also look for a laptop that has been upgraded, to add or replace the ram and have 32 GB more later if necessary. 32 GB of ram would help more with major projects and playback of certain types of media such as crude oil. so according to what you do with the first, you might find acceptable 16 GB.

  • How can I connect my 1Connectez 1st generation iPod (original iPod) to a laptop

I have an original iPod and it has a screen old port how to connect it to a laptop and they don't have these kind of show ports more

Not sure what you mean by "display port"...  The dock connector of the original iPod (2001) is a FireWire port.  You really have an original 1st gen iPod, with a (not key or click) scroll wheel that physically turns a circle?  Looks like this

If so, it can connect to a computer equipped with a FireWire port .  To do this, not to connect to a USB port.  There are "scam" products that claim to be a USB-to-FireWire adapter cable, but they don't work; they can even cause damage to the iPod if used.  FireWire and USB work very differently (and even use different power supply voltages); You cannot connect them just by changing the shape of the connector.

If your computer is a Mac (no FireWire port) with a Thunderbolt port, Apple sells a Thunderbolt-to-FireWire adapter.  On a Windows PC, to connect to the 1st (or 2nd) gen iPod, you add an expansion card of a certain type that provides an actual FireWire interface.  For more details, please provide more information on your situation.

My computer with two hard drives and 2 starting systems has the car crash in the solid state. When I got the new drive and tried to restore from time capsule, I lost some data. How can I see what backups are on the time capsule? My laptop is also saved to the time capsule. Everything is in 'Data' when I look through the Airport utility. Time Machine backup to a sparsebundle.

The sparsebundle will use the share name of computer. So, it should be obvious who is your Macbook and that is your Macpro.

Open the sparsebundle in Finder and keep open the subfolders until you get to the backup of each separate hard drive...

You has of course set the exclusion in Time Machine?

By default, Time Machine will exclude your second drive unless you have included it. Did you?

Once you get to this level during the backup, you can do a full restore manually whenever you want.
