Companion 3.0 Lenovo and Lenovo System Interface Driver/Foundation

I downloaded the 3.0 companion of the App Store from Microsoft, and install, it asks me to install the "Lenovo System Interface Driver" (Foundation) before.

I can't find any information on what the pilot is and why it is necessary.

Can anyone share specific details?

Thank you.

    Hi all

I formatted and reinstalled Vista on my x 61 tablet. I installed 3 update system and installedall updates available outside Maintenance Manager, ThinkPad Mobility Center, pc - doc, customer security and rescue and recovery.

Here's what happens when I press the following:

Volume up/down - I was expecting a small green bar appears indicating my change of volume. Insteade, nothing appears on the screen. The volume changes however.

FN + F1 (lock) - I was expecting to lock the computer, but it doesn't.

FN + F5 (toggle radio signals) - I expect some kind of future dialogue or my bluetooth light go power. Instead, nothing happens.

Some other Fn + X keys do not work well. for example, brightness and hibernate seem to work well.

  • Why am I getting SHAREit ver1.0.38.379 from the download page, but ver2.1.4.0 of the Lenovo system update?

I would use SHAREit app on my T420(MTM: 4177Q7U) Win7 32 bit PC but not install it again. Then I ran Lenovo System Update to check for updates. He scored a single pack of SHAREit 2.1.4.0. I ignored him.

Then, I accessed the Lenovo homepage (see link below) and downloaded an application of SHAREit. Installed and found the version ID '1.0.38.379 '.

I'm a little confused and surprised. Why Lenovo provided different versions of SHAREit since the home page and to download Lenovo system update?
Where should I get the updated version of official release SHAREit for my Windows PC?

    Thank you!

What happens with the Lenovo system update? We get an error that the package catalog is updated? We have several models here and its happening on each of them. I can't find anything about this update on any site of Lenovo, and the answer I received assistance was "Sorry." Also, they weren't able to tell me when they think that this will be corrected.

  • Last update to the Version of 5.07.003 Lenovo system update leaves without running.

The recent update of Lenovo system update does not work on my computer of ThinkCentre M82 on a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit system. The initial screen appears and the program terminates immediately. Center solutions marked Lenovo an error saying that update system had not checked for updates for the last 30 days. I uninstalled the version he and re-installed from the Download Center on Lenovo, but it still does not work. I run it with administrator privileges. I gave permission to run under Windows Firewall. There was an error message saying "Invalid firewall rule" that I don't understand. Before this recent update, update of the Lenovo system always worked perfectly. I think there may be a bug in the program, but I would like to Lenovo views on this problem. Thank you. rwsjr

  • T440s lost Bluetooth after having installed the latest updated via the Lenovo system update

Hi everyone, my setup - Windows 8.1, Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 7260 with Bluetooth built-in.

After the installation of the last packet of Intel's Bluetooth (via the Lenovo system update), I lost Bluetooth constantly.

-J' I tried to uninstall the update of the driver, nothing has changed.

-J' tried to restore through Windows Restore Point (I did a fresh restore point before you install these updates,) without success...

    I noticed that:

-When this happened, the fingerprint reader to are featured strange - there is no if light (with green light) initially, Windows, and Windows was asking me a password instead of the fingerprint.

-In the Device Manager. Bluetooth category disappeared (I was there before the upgrade - for sure.). but I saw a new unrecognized device whose name ends with something like "(de l'énumération n'a pas pu) '-this could probably be the Bluetooth card."

-L' tray for Bluetooth icon disappeared.

-The Bluetooth system option submenu and its devices in the Windows settings disappeared (and it was here before).

-Looking for Bluetooth in Windows 8.1 returned property (with Win + W hotkey) framework "set up Bluetooth devices" or similar, but when I clicked it, it couldn't access this option - just took me to the main configuration screen.

I had to do a restore of the system using Linux (thankfully made a full HD image backup of the HDD and SSD using Clonezilla readers - that was the only way to fix this-instead of complete reinstallation of Windows).

The only driver that works for me is the Intel version 3.1.1307.364 issued on August 1, 2013.

    -Anyone else had similar problems?

Apart from this, the Bluetooth disconnects always happen: see http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/T440s-major-WiFi-and-Bluetooth-instability/...

Can someone give me some advice please?

    I need help with this.

I found a solution to this problem.

Apparently, installing bluetooth driver through update system does not install it properly.

So I downloaded the latest driver of Lenovo driver download page, and instead run autorun.exe, I sailed to 64-bit dir and then run the installation program.

    Everything works fine now.

  • [Newbie TP] Windows vs Lenovo System Update update + Win vs Lenovo Power Management

@All: I'm going to a new T420s in a few days and since I've never owned a TP, I have a few questions for more experienced users. I apologize in advance if the questions seem stupid, but I wonder if Win Update and the Lenovo system update can get in the other way and messes things in the system by overwriting the drivers, or they have nothing to do with the other? Furthermore, what about the power management settings? I heard that Lenovo is rich enough, so I was wondering if they can enter in conflict with the settings of Windows7 and in case those who I would prefer and how to work around others?

    Thanks a zillion.

My rule of thumb is to:
    (1) anything in the update system that is not a Windows update hotfix package.
    (2) updated using Windows Update for Windows and associated fixes (disable the driver updated unless you know what you're doing).
    (3) run System Update and install the update packages Windows remains, if necessary.

  • The Lenovo system 5.1 update installs on windows 8

My sytstem update has worked for several weeks in windows 8, and then it stopped loading.  I tried to do an uninstall and reinstall, but unfortunately, I get the following message "the wizard was interrupted before the lenovo system update could be completely installed" I have read the forums that I need to have the .net install that I already have then what else could be the problem.  Are there I have to make sure that all files are deleted?

Had the same problem and the same error message after that 5.01.0005 system update stopped working and would not install after being uninstalled.

I looked at the Setup log and there was an error on the failure of the installation service. Then I looked at Windows Services and there was a service of installed system update, pointing to a non-existent folder under Program Files (x 86). I removed the service manually (sc delete SUService since the administration command prompt) and after this update installed fine system.

    TVSU Application has stopped working

I've been reluctant to use these registry cleaners too but had no choice. They well with basic cleaning after uninstall. It is heartbreaking how reckless SSII is during the cleaning of the registry during the uninstallation of their software. And some of the best cleansers will warn you if a fix is dangerous or not you can not run it. But what sometimes happens is that vacuuming can cause two problems for everyone that it fixes if you aren't careful.

I'll try to post on the site you posted. I'll post here if it helps.

  • Lenovo Power Management Driver for Windows 8

If you can visit the following url link:

    http://support.Lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?docid=DS014939
you will get a page titled:

Lenovo Power Management driver for Windows 7 (32 bit, 64 bit), Vista (32 bit, 64 bit), XP (32-bit, 64-bit) - for laptop which contains the driver links and documentation of the 1.65.05.21 of the software version, but the current version is 1.66.0.22, released on December 29, 2012, through ThinkVantage Update Retriever and ThinkVantage System Update.

I used the option to return to the site, and last week I was informed by the team of Lenovo Web content that driver Lenovo Power Management for Windows 8 (32 bit, 64 bit), Windows 7 (32 bit, 64 bit), Vista (32 bit, 64 bit), XP - laptop version 1.66.0.22 has been released earlier to the update system and Retriever and it will be posted on the support site today. I was advised to visit the following url link:
    http://support.Lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?docid=DS032258

This new document now shows a revised January 18, 2013 release date. Please note that it is a different URL from the previous version of the software. The two documents currently coexist.

If all goes well, it will be the subject of appropriate documentation and cross referenced on the Support site some time in the coming months.

The Lenovo Web content team has properly documented and cross referenced the two versions of the driver. Play well.
