I installed the latest drivers and drivers touchpad by recommendation online help/chat HP. I have no visible mouse pointer, if there is one here as I can ping with the 'ctrl' key and click on things (also right-click rights, etc.). In a Compaq Presario V2000 laptop, and I'm under the new 2408 as primary monitor as the laptop screen is damaged and does not.

  After 5 hours with HP online chat with many technicians and after update recommended all drivers * and * said that there was something wrong with my laptop, I just passed on "the display pointer trails" under properties of the mouse-> the pointer Options and voila, it appeared.

  I came across this, having learned to activate and deactivate the option "Hide pointer while typing" with the tech online, so congratulations to them (!).

  Hope someone saves hours of boredom that I lived.
