Compaq computer laptop - 15-s104na: new purchase - without fan installed?

Recently bought a new Compaq Notebook - 15-s104na HP - UK.  Surprised to find out that it doesn't have a fan installed (there is the space on the one hand, but not installed).  Thus, it relies just on the cooling by convection.  System seems to be working (in cool climate of the UK), but this cannot be good for the reliability of the component?  Maintenance documentation refers to a fan.

Any comments from HP?

You have a processor Trail Bay draws very low power, which is actually designed to be cooled passively. It should provide phenomenal battery life I think. 15 Compaq also comes with regular i3U and i5U processors that are low voltage but still need active cooling. If some models have the fan and some do not.
