Photosmart C4380 - not found wireless network

My photosmart C4383 than worked fine with wifi since 2007, but yesterday he lost his IP address.

I ran hp-setup, with connected USB and the network connection has been restored, but he disappeared after

the first attempt to print. After that, each running hp - Setup fails with the message

'No wireless networks found', although my wifi, provided by a Netgear router, works very well, as I have

4 devices connected, and they immediately find the wifi on reboot.

I don't see any explanation, except that the problem is with the photosmart himself.

Am I wrong?

Hey @pfrenkiel ,

Thanks for joining us on the HP Forums today, hope you enjoy your time with us!

I understand that you encounter connectivity problems on your Photosmart C4383. You are able to make it all work, but you are not able to get on the wireless network more.

With the printer being as old as it is, it could very well lose functionality in its internal modem. It is not a replaceable part unfortunately. This is probably what happened because you are not able to see more networks of the printer.

You can either continue to use the printer via the USB port or upgrade to a new printer.

I wish I could help you on the Forums, but I simply can't. Best of luck and hope this isn't too much inconvenience.

    Please take a look here:

Run the administrator device driver and check the result. To do this, follow these steps.
    1. find the CD/DVD driver. Insert it into the CD/DVD drive.
    2. right click on the file to install the driver, click Run as administrator.
    3. follow the instructions in the wizard and complete the installation.

    Hello

You have the latest version of the BIOS?
If this isn't the case, then you should first update the BIOS!

The latest version of the BIOS is on the European driver Toshiba page and it can be modified running Windows OS.
As far as I know, you must use 2.5 or later version BIOS.

  • Photosmart C6380 installation: do not find wireless network

I set up the printer according to the instructions, but he refuses to 'find' my wireless connection. I typed manually with the WPA, no luck. I moved the printer within a few inches of the router still no luck. It seems to be several other 'networks' that I'm not familiar with. I printed the wireless network Test report, but have no idea how use the information on it. I'm on cable, I have one router Netgear wireless... what else do you need to know to help me understand this? I tried to look for answers here, but I don't understand the terminology used in most of the questions OR answers.

I don't know how, but the number one problem is solved - this morning, the network printer is no problem, says it is connected and says that the signal strength is excellent.

I now have another problem... When you try to install the software, I get a message that says "Search is complete, any configured printer not found."  I probably need this post in a new thread?  sigh.

  • device not supported wireless network found

    Hi guys,.

I had to change the motherboard of my DV9420US; I bought a new motherboard megabyte Trading, wore the same (444002-001) and told me it was a piece of HP. However, after replacing the technician, the following error appears when starting, and forces me to close:

"wireless network device 104 undetected." System stopped. remove device and restart.

Can someone tell me how to solve this problem?

It begins to be disappointing: I've already spent over $ 400 to repair the original motherboard first and buy a new one, so that my laptop does not work yet.

    Thank you.

    Kesli,

I followed your instructions and it did work.

The wireless signal is abnormally low compared to what it was, but the problem is solved.

    Thank you very much!!

  • HP c309g not finding wireless networks

    Hello

I bought a HP Photosmart Premium all-in-one c309g (the one I have is the second than the first had the same problem and I sent a replacement, but now I wonder if I could possibly have two defective models in a row?)

Anyway, my router is an Orange Livebox (Inventel), running from the v5.10.7-uk. firmware I know the SSID and the key, but the problem I have is that when you run the Wireless Setup Wizard, it just sits there on "search... wireless routers "(the progress bar is moving, so I guess it's actually by train). So, my first thought before was that he could not be a problem with my router, as the printer was not picking up six other my laptop WLAN captures in my front room. However, I checked and all wireless networks I see on my laptop is networks 802.11 g, which led me to my next thought...

... is the printer using a wireless adapter 802.11n? The livebox I have is that 802. 11b / g (I think, not surprisingly Orange documentation is terrible and I can't find the information out in the admin pages - choose this place on the web, but it could just be 'b'). However, shouldn't the "n" adapter still be able to pick up the networks 'g' (part of the standard?)

Any help would be appreciated, I can't believe that I have two defective devices in a row!

    See you soon,.

I was wrong - I've got it finally works! Nothing to do with my router at all!

Basically, I connected the printer on a wired connection and traveled to the web interface. There, I found some additional configuration settings that were not available through the USB connection or on the LCD of the device interface. Specifically, in the "wireless (802.11) Interface' layout (http://printerIPindex.htm? cat = network & page = wirelessAdv), on the"Advanced"tab, there is a checkbox that allows the radio operate in mode 'b' (in an infrastructure network use 802. 11b behavior.) I enabled the wireless radio, checked this box, you click on 'Apply' and then disconnected the ethernet cable and hey-presto, a printer wireless to work! I can now browse all settings that are documented, and it is connected.

If anyone who works for HP is reading this, maybe an update of the documentation (paper and online) to discuss this feature 'Advanced' allow compatibility 'b' with a "n" radio would be very useful for millions of us who have not bought a "n" router yet

    Thanks again for the contributions.

    Hi All/person

I have a Tosh satellite M40X - 149. My problem is with the wireless operation. For about a year I used it then no problem recently the wireless from strange behavior - I would like to be connected and then she just stop and say wireless network not found then more recently the laptop has not yet locate the wireless network.

I use a Belkin F5D7633-4 wireless router and when I update the calld their Helpline, they helped me to install the firmware for the router that has seemed to work for about 10 minutes and then the problems started to come back. They recommended that I update my card drivers - can someone tell me what it is and how I do my laptop. I am desperate to solve this, because I'm having to use the yellow cable between the router and the laptop just for surfing the net.

    Hello

If there is no possibility try test your WLAN functionality with another network wireless (friend or maybe in your company). On this path, you should be sure if the problem occurs only with your WLAN.

  • HP Envy M4 1115dx: Qualcomm QCA Atheros Driver Installation error | Device not found wireless adapter

I just replaced my old HD with a new SSHD Seagate. Everything is going well until I tried to connect to internet in wifi wireless mode with. I think it was a pilot error because I just do a blank Windows 8 install on my new SSHD (hybrid drive SSD). So I went to find the Driver for the WLAN Module.

HP is automatically detected my laptop model number and gave me a list of drivers. I selected "Qualcomm Atheros QCA90000 series Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows" under the list of Driver Network in the menu dropdown.

In the middle of the installation of this driver, I was arrested and met a titled error message, "802.11a/b/g/n Wireless adapter device not found". Just below this title was a big red circle with a white X sign. Besides, he said: "the device may not be present or could have been ejected unplugged from the system. Abortieng the installation, please insert the card and try again the Setup program. »

Below is a screenshot of what I mean.

Problem solved. I uninstalled all the drivers but the Ralink. Think I know what may have caused this.

The recommended for WLAN driver was based on a misinterpretation on behalf of HP. HP auto detected my laptop as a 1150la instead of the 1115dx model.

I'm not sure why HP thinks that my model is another, but it may have something to do with the SSHD and thermal fan replacement I did before this error WiFi.

Number of brand and model of the router?

These settings are to set up your printer wireless (or wired):

    • Stay connected to your router
    • Trouble printer status 'offline '.
    • Wake mode 'sleep'
    • All wireless devices stay better connected

While the DHCP is convenient, devices like printers (wired and wireless) should always be assigned a (fixed) IP address manually to avoid conflicts on your wireless network and must be outside the range of the router DHCP.  After the adjustment of the static IP address the computer must be updated to show a Standard TCP/IP port with the IP address of printers under printer properties/Ports.

    1. Set a static in the printer IP address (click here) outside the range of the DHCP of the router (check your manual). It is for Linksys routers, but can be used for all routers. Check your DHCP range and change this first if necessary. More Help Wireless Printing is here and here and still more here.  Video here explains the problem and how to solve the problem. <--> So watch this!
    2. Or check in the printer "Auto Off/sleep/Energy Saving Mode" is disabled the System Mode Time Out is set to zero (0) Use the built-in webserver (EWS) by visiting the printer address IP address in the address bar of your browser, click on settings tab/Auto Off. Or use the printer, printer Home Page (EWS) Wizard. Also check your printer properties.
    3. If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, disable the IPv6 option in the printer.
    4. Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a socket wall and not to a UPS, power strip or a lightning arrestor. This will cause the printer to drop offline connection and disconnection (checked yes!).

Additional measures to take if you continue to have the problem (if they are posted)...

  • Not found wireless module

I have usuing a G60 laptop and my product number is VM084UA #ABA and my OS is Windows 7 64 bit. Suddenly, I could get my wireless to work a few hours after using it all morning. Unfortunately, it seems that many people have encountered this type of problem.  The wireless "bars" icon will not be displayed in my taskbar, even with an 'X' through it to show that it is the beginning. I can't find my home network, or any network near the network sharing Center, so I don't see a connection only available broadband.

I ran the diagnostic troubleshooting and everything he says, it is that I need an ethernet cable, which is quite unnecessary.

I tried to activate the wireless button blue/orange, Windows Mobility Center and HP wireless assistant. The rest button always orange and has no response. I clicked on all the shortcuts that I could find to access the HP Wireless Assistant, but nothing happens and it won't start. Mobility Center is completely missing the icons located in this FAQ, and the drop-down list HP Wireless Assistant has only 'Settings' and "WLAN off the coast", with "WLAN on" nowhere in sight.

I have restarted my computer several times, pulled the battery, installed all updates I could find, uninstalled them, restored system, restarted my router (even if other computers are very well pick up wireless), run several virus scans, captured in trawl by statutes wireless on HP support site and a bunch of forums and came up with nothing. When I installed a new version of the BIOS, however, after I restarted my computer, he told me that the wireless module was not found and to access certain parts of the HP site, I was only able to write half until it went off the screen. Then I looked at my drivers and I couldn't find WIFI or Bluetooth anywhere. I have found that the RealTek PCIe FE family controller, which I don't know has nothing to do with the wireless adapter. I feel that it has to do with ethernet, which works very well. I tried updating my drivers, but they took too long to find the updates, so I assumed that there were not all and it cancelled.

The only step I can think is rip my computer and check if some piece of hardware has melted or something. Is there anything else I should check before resorting to that?

    Thank you.

Ah, nevermind, I managed to find a solution while watching others around this forum.

I fixed it by doing a hard reset. Turn off and unplug everything from your computer, and then remove the battery. Press on and press and hold power for about ten seconds, and then restart your computer. Now my wireless is back. Hope it will be useful.

  • Satellite L500-13z - Windows 7 does not recognize wireless network adapter

    Hello

The Windows 7 RC Device Manager does not recognize my wireless network adapter (for example: Atheros, Intel or Realtek). I tried to install all the Toshiba support drivers, but none of them work:

After installation, they ask me to connect the unit to my computer (of course it is still on the motherboard!).

=>, Is there a way to know what is my Wifi adapter?

that one failed: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD7201PO000SR01.htm (this is the only Word to say "network adapter" with a yellow exclamation point).

-Online someone knows when will be released Windows 7 drivers on the website?

    Hello

Before you begin to install all drivers WLAN you can find on the Toshiba site you must make sure that wireless network card, you have exactly. You can check in the Device Manager-online properties-online Details of the local network adapter device.
Need you an information like PCI\VEN_XXXX & DEV_XXXX

If you have based this information you are looking for with these terms on this site in order to determine the exact WLAN card:
    http://www.PCIDatabase.com/

After that, you can download the driver appropriate for your laptop. Before installing, you must uninstall all other versions and restart the laptop.
Also, make sure that the WIFI is enabled with the hardware switch and FN + F8.

    Welcome them
